Daily Check in April 16

Hoppy Easter All! Sun is shining so I think the egg hunt will be al fresco today!:) First I'll give my upper body a go with MM upperbody combining same body part with a BodyPump section. I hope I'll have enough time to do Step and Intervals before the Kids are up. I dusted off and greased up our bikes this weekend so well probably go for a post Easter basket pig out ride. Better get going!

Happy Easter all hope you have a wonderful day whatever you get up to:)

Take Care
Laurie:)

Hi Laurie and all who follow!

Laurie: Sounds like a fun work out you have planned! Love the idea of the bike ride!:)

I am still recuping from my illness so I won't be going too hard today....
This is my plan:

Core Bound
Lunges

Have a great day!:+

Hi, you two early birds and all who follow -

Ugh. I'm getting ready to jump into my workout and it's only 7:30 a.m. I'm no good at this morning stuff, but it's now or never, since we're having a family get-together this afternoon. Let's see ...

For some unknown reason, I'm really in the mood for Charlene and the Bench Boys - an oooolllld Charlene Prickett cardio. It's not very difficult at all, but I can modify to up the intensity. More importantly at this time of the morning, it's FUN. Then I'll jump right into GS Legs for the second time this week. If I have time, I'll do abs.

Happy Easter, everyone. Enjoy all those chocolate eggs, bunnies, or whatever tickles your fancy.

Happy Easter right back atcha and to all who read VVV.

I'm having a rest day; I typically do on Sunday unless I have a conflict later in the week.

I'll be in Boston the next two days and hope to get in one run, chest, back and abs. I'll try to do Pyramid style; It is the easiest for me to do when in a hotel fittness room.

Hello to all that follow...have a great day!

Everybody have a happy Easter...

Great w/o's too.

Well I was supposed to do aa 22K today. It turned into an 14K and an 8K run. I had planned my route before I left home with Map24 as my Polar HRM is not calibrated well. At the bird reservation I was too cross lthe first little bridge, run another 200meters then turn round. As I got around there, there was this other cute little bridge a little further up the road. I decided to run to the bridge and make my U-turn there. As I was coming up to the 2nd bridge I saw two legs fly in the air at the other side of it. A man standing on the bridge to where apparently somebody fell.

For a second, I contemplated simply running home, but I didn't and ran across the bridge. This older lady was lying on the ground and the man was lifting a bicycle of off her. I have first aid, so I bent down, asked the usual things. She tried to get up, but I urgently asked her to stay lying down for a while. Then the man said she had blood at the back of her head. So I put her in the stable side position (don't know what you would call that) and checked the back of her head. Yep, there was only one thing left to do. You guessed it -ambulance-. So I called the emergency number, and those idiots put me through to the wrong district @#$%$# So I had to call again. I kept talking to the lady making sure she was still alert. She didn't seem to be in pain. When the ambulance arrive, the paramedics thanked me at least twice for helping out.

Now am I a bad person for thinking for like three seconds about going home? I mean, it's not like I don't want to help, but in the back of my mind there's always this "what if I can't help?", "what if they die while I'm trying to help?", "what if I'm making a mistake?", what if I have to make a judgement call and I take the wrong decision?", what if, what if, what if....

Anyways, so it was another 45 minutes before I could continue my run.

Daily Check-in

Happy Easter! I got back on track this morning and enjoyed my first workout in a week and my first Cathe workout in 10 days (since the Viper). I am still not feeling 100 percent better. Cardio and Weights was on my rotation for this morning. Even with one of Cathe’s less intense workouts, I am still feeling wiped out now. I had fun though. Cardio and Weights is one of my happy workouts. :7

Time for worship. Have a blessed day! :)

Blessings,
Heather B.

Hi!

This morning I did All-Step, CM#2, and SM#2. This was a great workout, particularly since today was supposed to be a "rest" day, but I felt like burning some energy.

Laurie - thanks for the high-5 yesterday! I didn't leave you hangin'. :) This morning I had to finish making the dessert for tonight: whip some cream, make chocolate pudding, crush 4 Skor bars, tear the chocolate cake into pieces, and layer all these in a large bowl. Unbelievably, I didn't have one lick of any of this. Usually I love to make this dessert because there are so many bowls, spatulas and beaters to lick. But not this time.

Susan - Ella and Bella! Great names!

Tammy - Today I'm going to try to buy Carole's favourite cookbook: Vegan Planet.

It's snowing here. Lots of it. Great big fluffly snowflakes and literally look like pieces of cloud. Snow on Easter. Hm. Ain't right (but seems to happen here every couple of years).

Well, I'd best get my butt in gear. Have a great day!
Sandra
- had left over sweet potato pie for breakfast as an Easter treat :)

Hi guys! Checking in to say Happy Easter.

I miss you Carole, Tammy, Wendy, Sandra, Jane, Anette, Shannon, Shelly, Katie, Heather (Sorry if I forgot anyone) ...

I had a great BC workout yesterday and KM today. I do modify the blasts just too high impact for me at this point in life ;)

Dutchie that is great you helped out. My son has a seizure disorder so I'm always pleased to hear of strangers helping out. That's great what you did.

My DD goes to Senegal Africa for a week on Tuesday and then a week in France. She is home for a bit and then is going to spend the summer in the UK with a former au pair and her kids :)

New job is going well.

It's nice to see all of you still posting and having great work outs :)

Happy Easter ladies! Well, after taking Friday off I decided that I would at least walk on Saturday because I couldn't take it anymore. Well, my walk actually ended up being a 30 minute run. My side felt pretty good afterwards, so today I did GS Chest and Triceps and a 35 minute run. It's still feeling pretty good, so I think I'm on the road to recovery.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Katie
