Good Morning Mariangeles and all you inspiring woman who are to follow!

Working out has been more background focus this week as I was putting most my focus in other things. Thanks to your posts you kept me at least going workoutwise!

With all the tough stuff of last year I've learned to savor the good times and NOT focus on when the other shoe would drop.

If you don't mind I'm just going to post the things I'm grateful for

- Leaps and bounds above all the rest. Son's appt with the brain surgeon went very well. There is no need compelling reason to operate. They believe (now they have 4 CTScans/MRIs dating back to 7/04 to compare to) that he has the aneurysm since he was a little guy, it's highly unlikely to rupture and if so not life threatening. In fact it's calcified. What a relief. We will monitor with a CTScan in a year. The Dr reviewed with a team of brain surgeons as well. The hospital he goes to is rated #2 in the US. Now we can focus on the siezures and hopefully get this under control, though once every 6 mos is not horrible it would be nice to control them totally.

- DD is having a very nice time in France. She is going to Venice, Rome, Barcellona, and London during Feb vacation :) with 2 other girls.

- My friend who is 1/2 way around the world called and has been in touch email too.

- I'm meeting my friend for drinks on Monday. He has been so great to my son and hope we can become better friends. He just got divorced.

- I made it to the next round on an interview. I meet with the VP next week. I dont think it's a fit but still nice.

- In touch with a lot of friends. Many of us saying how much we appreciate eachother.

- Furniture is arriving on Friday. The contractor will be fixing up my den and kitchen in the spring summer. I need to get estimates on cabinets.

- Of course you guys are always here to offer encouragement! Thanks!

Hi Mariángeles,

You have a tough workout planned, as always :) How's the weather in Spain? It's only 1C here with a windchill of -3C. I was freezing my ears of when I walked my doggies.

Did L&G and added a tibialis ex. then did CTX UB split and added wrist curls.

Done for today ;-) and enjoying sauerkraut and mash for lunch.

Have a wonderful Saturday!

BTW, my Runervals arrived.

Robyn,

That is good news for your son right? Do they know what causes the seizures?

Good on you to focus on what's been good.

Hi Ladies.

Great work outs to all!

Today and tomorrow are supposed to be resting/stretching days and then Monday it's back to business x10! LOL I hope I don't get ants in my pants and work out today...I didn't include any cardio in my work outs that past 3 days so I'm kinda itchin' to get some in. I have to remind myself that I have a month ahead of PLENTY of cardio! ;) }( ;)

Robyn, wow you have tons going on these days! So happy to hear that your DS is okay. That's great news!

Happy Saturday to all! :)

Good Morning Fit Chicks!

Today I'm going to do the Gauntlet and then KM: LCD.

Mariangeles: As always your workouts are turbo charged!

Dutchie: It is cold here too! What a nice total body workout for you. The music in L&G rocks and the UBS from CTX is just fantastic.

Robyn: You have a great attitude...we could all learn something from you!;)

Wendy: Love the new avatar. Are you starting the January rotation Monday?

Hello to all that follow....have a great day!

Thanks! Hi Dutchie. Yes this is very good news. He actually has 2 things the aneurysm (as you probably know aneurysms can be life threatening - but 1.5 years since the diagnosis we are confident his is not and he has had it for so many years that is some what "healed" itself). He has had 2 MRIs, 3 CTScans, 2 procedures, one even was nuclear medicine to look at the blood flow.

Re the siezures - they do have an idea of the cause in his case. The odd thing is it's something that they believe happened when he was in the womb. Why it didn't result in a siezure until he was 15 - I don't get. Believe it or not in 60% of seizures they do not know what causes them. The goal is to get the right dosage of the right med to control it. I have found it is MUCH More an art than science. Finding the dosage that controls them but also doesn't drug him up so it's difficult in school. So the thing is to control them. Sleep deprivation triggers them so we need to watch that.

Thanks for asking

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I did PowerMax. Good workout.

Robyn - you have a LOT of things going on in your life right now, and for the most part they are all positive. I'm so happy your son is not in a critical situation.

Dutchie - long workout today! Good work! What are Runervals???

Wendy - so you're really going to take the plunge and do the January rotation? Go Wendy go!!!!

Tammy - another very challenging workout planned for today. Enjoy!

Today I'll be doing Cardio & Weights.

Cheers,
Sandra

Tammy and Sandra,

YEAH! Call me crazy...I think I AM!!! I'm gonna do it! Terri and I are buddying up to suffer together on this one! You'll hear all about how badly it's kickin' my butt too! :p

Hi all -
Not much for me to check in on, since I'm not doing anything today! I decided to take one more day off. Things started out okay, but then I got down in the dumps again and I feel moderately cruddy. It's raining and kind of yucky in a nice, curl up on the couch sort of way, so that's what I'm going to do. TOMORROW, however, watch out, because I am going to kick some butt!

Robyn, thanks so much for your inspiring post. I'm very glad things look so well for your DS! Just reading what you said, and all the things that you have to be grateful for, helped to kick me out of my gloom and doom mood.

Happy exercising to you all!

Robyn- great news about your son. I'm glad you got some good news!

Today I did KPC, 500 jumping jacks, 10 minutes of jump rope, and 5 minutes of calf stretching which I desperately needed after all that calf work!!

I have two more days left on the January rotation due to getting off schedule last weekend but I'll finish on Monday.

Thanks so much for your kind words - Dutchie, Wendy, Tammy, Sandara, Jane and Shannon.

The positive out of this situation is that I live life so much more deeply. I know what's important in life and when I hear my son or I am an inspiration to others, it just makes me so happy.

Yes I pray we get this all under control but it does warm my heart to know that it helps others put things in perspective and inspires them too..

Thanks everyone :)
