Daily Check in 2008-10-12

Wow, it's pretty late and no thread. Well, here we go! I have to go out and get some errands done but I'll be back with my workout...probably some variation of BM2.

Happy Sunday!

Hi hottie and all to come..

Finished up Pyramid Lower Body and then went to the grocery store...Now, I am sitting back and relaxing with a movie or book (maybe both)....

Talk to you later..

Hi everyone! Kathy, your day is a fantasy for me -- I'd love it. I have a mountain of laundry to do, however, and a house that is so messy it makes me grumpy. My husband is sooooo bad about not putting away and it takes away any motivation I have to try to keep things neat, you know what I mean? Drives me nuts....

On the other hand, I'm in a great mood..... did BM2 cardio blast premix or whatever it's called. First time I've done it that way and I liked it quite a bit, though I couldn't get that third combo, and by the time the circuits came around my foot was hurting so I didn't want to do any impact stuff. Good workout though. And then my son wanted to go for a walk in the woods, so I've done that too. It's such a nice day out there!

Have fun.......

Hi guys!

Quickie post for me. Sundays are so crazy here!

Today is so-called "rest" day. So funny, because I sleep a total of 6 hours in 48 hours, ... is that "rest"???

Work was quiet last night, hoping I get another good night tonight. I have a headache. Which sucks. I always try to eat it away, which only helps temporarily.

Tomorrow I'm planning on getting up super early for my workout, and then going with the boys pumpkin picking and corn-mazing! And then out to dinner... SHould be fun, except for the getting up early part...

Hottie: Hope you had a good workout today whatever you chose to do!

Kathy: PLB! Hi-5's!!!! Your day sounds dreamlike to me as well! LOL!!!

Beth: Was that BM2 premix a circuit? YOu'll have to let me know, I'd like to do something with it this coming week. I can't believe you went for a walk in the woods again after your "trip" the other day! ... I understand the dog thing too. We looked for a dog for 2 years on and off. I always questioned if I had the time and energy for a dog. Because you know it would ultimately fall on ME to take care of it. Labs are kind of crazy, especially as younger dogs. That's the other thing, I could never decide on a breed of dog that would go along with us. As you know, we ended up with a cat, and then got another. Any chance for that for you guys? They are sooooooo much easier to take care of (esp. if you keep them indoors). NO vet check ups after the initial, unless they get sick. And they can be independent if you don't have a ton of time for them. But they are there. The boys absolutely love our kitties! My DH was a "dog" person who has slowly converted over to loving the cats too. You never know!!

So this was su pposed to be quick..and I babbled!

See you guys tomorrow...

Hey Beth: What made it even more of a dream was that hubby was gone all afternoon at a football game!!! I didn't have anyone(except the kids) here to disrupt my Lifetime movie schedule!! I loved it. Hubby is home now and back to the real world and making dinner!!! OH well, it was nice while it lasted.

Chris: Hope your headache is better and that your shift at work is an easy one!

Hi -- I know most of you are getting read to call it a night, but I thought I'd check in with at least the first part of my workout today.

I forgot to mention something from yesterday. So, I wanted to do Imax2, right? Well, I was a little mad at myself for eating the chinese food and refused to go into work until I did Imax2. Anyway, I waited a couple hours to digest and then I took on Imax2 to find that even though I was pretty sure there was no food in my belly, I couldn't go further than the third combo because my stomach was hurting so much. I was so PISSED. So, I stopped it, MADE my husband do 4DS Kickbox while I chugged Alka-Seltzer thinking it was gas pressure that was making me hurt. Well, by the time DH was done 4DS Kickbox, I still wasn't feeling great but I went after Imax2 and I did the whole thing minus parts where I was like, oh cathe, why must you make it so tough! But anyway, the point of me telling you this is that I think Chris mentioned how sometimes her belly hurts when we eat to close to working out -- maybe its just gas and some AS can fix it! I'm definitely turning to it when I think that's the problem again. Also, my stubborness forced me to be at work until 11p so I was a little mad at myself but on a high for completing it again.

Kathy -- you know, I don't think I've read a book for pleasure in at least a year? And when I read, I only read nonfiction now. The last book I read was either Freakonomics (very, very good book) or Worse Than Watergate (very interesting perspective). As for fiction, I can't even remember the last time I read a fiction book. So, even for me, your day seems dream like! WTG for PLB.

Beth -- So, I TRIED to do BM2 Cardio Blast premix but I had to quit before the power circuits (but after the "finished product" section). I think my legs were just too tired after Imax2 yesterday. But I LOVE that third step combo...and I think its because of the Chicago cover. I think it just makes me really happy hearing it -- it remind me when my family was still in an apartment and my father playing it on our record player. So, when the music starts coming, my DH says you can see my face lighten up and a different energy kick in to finish it up. It's so awesome how music can make us push harder.

Chris -- that sounds like so little sleep! Do you take any medication for the headaches other than the OTC stuff? I remember reading about a drug for migraines that could actually help you lose weight apparently! But my migraines are so random that I never felt the need to go through the hassle of getting a doctor at my health center.

Ok, so DH told me to take a break to post the forum so he could get GS C&T. It's fun hearing him grunt! LOL. Anyway, I wanna futz with B&G after he's done and then its lab again.

I hope you all had a good weekend!

Kathy, you're funny! I hope you enjoyed your time while you had it!!

Chris, yeah, I do not see how you survive on your sleep schedule!! the BM2 cardio thing is just step, by the way, she calls some of the end work "circuits", but it's just almost like the imax routines -- a little bit of steady state followed by a blast. Don't know why she calls them circuits.

Oh, and we do have a cat -- the cat who won't die, remember? Oh, I never did put a picture of him up. At one point before we had kids we had four cats, and when the kids came along, those cats rebelled and started peeing everywhere in the house, so we went down to one cat who we still have. At any rate, we did bring a dog home today. She's a border collie mix, and very sweet. She's young and definitely needs training, but she seems to have some smarts about her. I do think some of the work will fall on me, but I think my husband is going to step up some, because I was so against getting a dog for that reason. Already he is the one who washed out the crate and fuzzy liner and toys and leash that she pooped on during the ride home!! Thank goodness!

Ok, off to get back to the laundry mountain which ended up neglected for most of the day while we were bringing home "Gina".
