Good morning chicks!! Question of the day....where did you grow up? I grew up in Dutchess county N.Y. In a small town called Red Hook. It's a beautiful place to live, play and raise a family. It's about 2 hours north of NYC so we have a lot of commuters. A handful of years ago the NY times (?) wrote a story about this area (including the next town of Rhinebeck) being the new Hamptons. We even had the "American Pickers" come here for the show they do.

Today I did Cathe Live- total body blast w/ step. I LOVED it!!

Linda- I want to see a picture of you in full costume WITH the flesh colored leggings. Please. And don't say "MM MM I ain't doin it". I bet you were the perkiest of the bunch!!

Hi Peg, and all who follow,

Today I taught my short workout to 4 ladies. Once again my one lady, did not like it, she doesn't like the music says it is too draggy. So we shall see if the kickboxing one goes over any better if not, I will just chuck those workouts and keep going with what I already know they like.

So it was about 37 minutes. Then to prove my dh wrong I only did a 30 min. weight workout but that included going from 35 pound dumbbells up to 50 pound dumbbells for chest press. I managed 4 reps at 50 pounds so that was an increase. Then I did standing lat pull downs, both wide and underhand close grip. I did the t bar pull on the machine for back with a 25 pound plate, both ways to pull(2 different handle position), I did the rope pull down on the cables also, then I did floor abs.

As for where I grew up that is a hard question since we moved around a lot. Born in VA, moved to TN, then to Mississippi, then back to TN, then another move within TN, then to NC, where I graduated high school and went to college. Once I finished college I moved to Maryland, then after we were married in NC my dh followed me and joined me in MD, then after having kids we bought a house in PA since it was cheaper than houses in MD.

Have a great day!!

Hi Everyone,

More Daily Burn for me today - metabolic workout

My dd did a cathe workout blender workout last night

I was born in Glasgow, Scotland and raised in Toronto.

Sorry, Peg, no pics available:) !! However, now that I think about it, maybe we didn't wear tights, I remember
Tubes of leg makeup!

Hope to get in some sort of a blender workout later, whatever is next on the list!
I was born, raised, and still in VA... Like I said, I don't travel....much, neither did my family growing up.
Kind of boring, but kind of good too!

Hi girls, Oh I would have loved Irish Dancing or Band in high school. So interesting! I love horseback riding too, Henriette. No dressage or anything like that, though.
Great workouts today. I just did some 'energy' yoga. It felt pretty good.
I grew up on the south coast of Newfoundland, Canada in a windy seaside town of about 2200 folks. It's lovely there and a nice place to grow up .....there wasn't much to do though, so we tended to get in a bit of trouble from time to time. The beaches are just amazing though and go on and on. :)
Peg, I just looked up Red Hook and Rhineback. Very, very pretty indeed. Do you have an accent at all? I still have some of my accent. Well, it's more the regional colloquialisms, although I never want to lose it!!

We just put up some 'soundproofing' drapes hoping to help with much needed rest/sleep. If that alone does not work, we will try lining them with fleece next. I cannot sew very well though, so I have have to take them to someone who does that.

Hey there Elsie. No I don't have an accent. It's funny though because when I say I'm from New York, people usually expect a city accent. This area has been reported to be one of the most beautiful in the country. I just see it as where I grew up and now Live. I moved around a bit when I was in my twenties. Florida, Colorado, Texas. But I eventually came home. Glad I did. Red Hook high school has made Newsweek magazines list of top high schools in the nation for a good number of years. A lot of famous people have made the area their home too. It's very nice and I feel fortunate to live someplace beautiful. Especially this time of year.

I hope the curtains help with the sound. Do you know how long construction will be going on?

They keep telling us that it's the last week as it goes on & on. Very frustrating.Last night we actually went to sleep in our car. lol. Best sleep I've had in ages.

Hi ladies,

Friday was as predicted a day without a workout. I went for a walk during my lunch so taking the 4 flights of stairs an extra time as well, but still didn't even get close to getting my steps in. Typical for a Friday but I won't stress about it. Just 4 more days of work and then I can relax and get everything ready for the baby and get some more exercise without it being late in the evening. I have so many ideas about how I will be spending my days, but also know there's a fat chance nothing will go as planned.

I was born in Denmark, just outside of Copenhagen and then age 6 we moved to Eindhoven in the south of the Netherlands for my dad's work. We were only meant to stay a year, but after 4 it became clear we were staying longer so we moved to a neighboring village where it was quieter and a bit more space. That's where we stayed until I went off to uni. So in fact I didn't really move about much after that initial move. I've lived in 3 houses as a child, 3 different places as a student and as a grownup only 2 places, the apartment I was in before and now this house.

Have a great start the weekend. I still don't feel 100% fit so I will be taking it easy and relaxing a lot.
