Custom made shoes for runners ??

Isn't there a shoe store that does this ??
I'm not really a runner but am asking for someone else.
I seem to remember several years ago hearing about a shoe store you could go to and they not only measured your foot, but put you on a treadmill to see your stride and how your foot hits , etc... then they make a shoe especially to fit your foot .

Anyone know what store this is ???

The only store I can think of right now is Fleet Feet - not sure if you have one of those near you. Unfortunately the closest to me is 2 hours

I would check the yellow pages around you and make calls to running stores in the area. We have a small local store here (45 min away... but totally worth it) that does the treadmill gait analysis and matches you to your ideal style of shoe (neutral, stability, or motion control).

My husband & I just did this over the weekend and it was awesome! I spent years thinking I needed stability shoes for my weak joints, and came to find I was wearing the wrong shoes all this time! It's amazing what the right shoes will do for you!
