Okay, this is for those who asked for this recipe. Well, it's not really a recipe, and it's written in typical chef-style (throw a bit of this in, mix a handful of this in), but you'll get the idea.
Chick Pea and Lentil Bits
1 can chick peas, drained and rinsed
about the same amount of lentils, any kind (he used red and cooked them, but you could use green, canned)
½ a cup of stock, whatever kind you like
a few sliced mushrooms (4 or 5)
about half a cup of frozen peas
1 celery stalk thinly sliced
½ a diced onion
1 clove garlic minced
about 3 tablespoons of typical store bought yellow curry
1-2 tablespoons red thai curry (or more yellow curry, or green - whatever)
a few dashes garam masala
a dash of celery seed
a few dashes ground cardamon seed
pepper
olive oil
½ a can tomato paste
Sauté onions, celery and garlic in oil. When it starts to soften up throw in the curry and other spices to cook off a bit, if the mix gets too dry add a bit of oil or stock to moisten it up a bit. Once that’s going throw in the chick peas and mushrooms and let them cook with the curry for a couple minutes. After a minute or two add the lentils and stock and tomato paste. When the mixture starts to thicken up it’s ready. Throw in frozen peas and once they warm up it’s ready.
