Curious about the Imax 2/Card&Weights DVD

Hi all,

So, I watched the preview of the Imax 2 DVD on sale this week. It looks pretty confusing as far as the choreography. I've done the Cardio & Weights on FitTV, but I'm kind of intimidated by the IMAX 2.

I end up triping over myself and my Step on the Step Moves DVD to give you an idea of my level of coordination!:p

What are your thoughts?

Thanks!
Pam

Pam, I don't think you'd have a problem picking up the choreography on IMAX 2. It's cued in a different style than Step Moves and not all of the intervals are on the step so you get a break from it. Step Moves was a bit tricky to me and I'm very familiar with Cathe's choreo. Enjoy!

I agree. I think the moves is IMAX 2 are easier to pick up on than Step Max. More intense---but easier to learn.

I too have a hard time getting chorography down but IMAX 2 isn't so bad. I watched it once before attempting and it took 2 or 3 times to get it down but once i did, its an awsome workout (and one of my favorites). IMAX 3 I still have a hard time with but I think you should be fine with 2. Its pretty straight forward and Cathe's cueing is exceptional.

Imax 2 is MUCH easier to learn than Step Moves. Plus I also enjoy having C&W on the same DVD. And Imax 2 is fun fun fun! The first time I did it I had to rewind and re-watch a couple of the step combos to catch on to the choreography, but it was no big deal (it gave me a couple of extra cheat rests!). The Imax 2 interval blasts are pretty much as straight forward as can be. You should have NO problem catching on to those.

I'm a choreography klutzarina so I've only ever done the Blast Only premix from I-Max 2, or simply the blasts without anything else. I have always enjoyed it, and I love love love the music that infuses step / blast cycle #6. Perfect match of choreo to music.

And . . . the core routine in Cardio & Weights never, EVER loses its effectiveness, quite surprising for 8 seemingly short minutes after all these years.

I highly recommend the disc.

The others have already said what I was going to, so I will just second it. Imax 2 is way easier than Step Moves. Its easier to learn than Low Max or Rhythmic Step (very advanced choreography on that one.) Cardio/Weights is perhaps my favorite of Cathes step workouts. It has a great cardio only premix which is just 30 min. long and is so much fun, I smile the whole time.

This is truly one of my favorite Cathe's DVDs. I love both workouts and if anything happened to this DVD, I would replace it tomorrow. The choreography is not hard to learn and both are fun.

This is one of my favorites too. I sat on the fence for way too long on this one! It was a little challenging for me the first couple times, but I just kept repeating the combos until I got it. What I like about it is she tells you each combo will be repeated six times, so you know how many times you have to get the steps down. You should get this one! The music is really fun, too!

I can be choreographically challeged. Hate anything that's too intricate but I LOVE Imax2! It is NOT difficult to pick up. Some are a bit trickier then others but none are all too difficult! It's one of my faves!
