I was going to put this in the recipes forums, but its not really healthy. The upside is that it only makes 4, so you don't have a bunch of cupcakes or cake around the house. I have these in my oven now. You can also reduce the flour by a tablespoon and add 2 TBS of cocoa powder for chocolate cupcakes. I am going to whip up a half batch of Hershey's chocolate frosting, and then settle in on the couch with my sweet treat. Again, not healthy, but gone quickly so there isn't days of temptation around. Of course, I pick a 90 plus degree day to get a cake craving and have to turn the oven on;) Happy Cravings!!!

Well, it's my DH's birthday today, so I HAD to make his favorite, plain yellow cake with chocolate frosting, and, yes, I made a whole 9x13 pan! It helps that I only allow myself to indulge on the weekend, so only one more day! He had 2 pieces today to my 1. If he keeps that up, it'll be gone by Tuesday! Especially since I won't have any on Monday or Tuesday! He doesn't gain from it, turkey, but he runs every day at lunch. His office has a gym on campus, lucky dog!

Me - it'll take me all next week to recover from last night's dinner, b-day cake today and, yes, most likely, tomorrow! No biggie! Gotta celebrate those birthdays!

Yum! Here are some I made earlier in the year:

Thanks Alana!

My husband bought me a few cupcake and cake decorating books for Christmas, and I had a few weeks of being really inspired. The people at work were loving it, but I was sneaking a few too many spoonfuls of batter and frosting! So... I stopped. But those three batches were the only three I've ever done, other than regular old Betty Crocker and frosting from a can :) I was pretty proud of myself, until I started looking at flickr photostreams of cupcakes. Some of them were just incredible!
