Has anyone heard of this? My sister just sent me an email that she saw this product on the Today show this week and thought it would make a great Christmas/Birthday gift for me.

It is called "Push". It is customized DVDs with a personal trainer. The website is www.push.tv You tell them what your goals are, what kind of cardio you like, and what equipment you have to work with and they customize a new DVD every month for you. Right now they have a free 30 day trial offer. You can choose which personal trainer you would like to work with too which is fun. Since you can pick the equipment she thought that this might be a good workout DVD to travel with.

Let me know if anyone has this or what they think.

Thanks!

Jeanette

I just checked out the website. It looks pretty cool. You get a DVD in the mail and on-line support for $25.00/month plus shipping. I would want to see the workouts before I bought though. I didn't see a free trial offer...

I think that I remember several other people here trying it and not liking it because the DVDs weren't advanced enough. I may be wrong, though. I personally haven't tried it.

They are no where near as advanced. Save your money. I think they send the same thing to everyone. I did Bob and the 1st 2 were terrible. I gave them away...

Even if the routines are not as advanced...would they be good for working out in a hotel room? I will be traveling a lot for work next year and aside from some weights and minimal cardio equipment in the hotel gym I would like to have other options. On the trip I'm on now, I brought my cathe kick box dvds but I feel bad bouncing around at 5 am in my room. Also the free weights are all in Kg and start too high for some exercises.

I guess my goal if I got these would be to maintain while away from home.

I've tried it a couple of times (the first version, and a supposedly 'improved' version).

The first version didn't really seem customized (I chose butt, triceps and abs as my three focus areas, and I seemed to get the same workouts as everyone else I knew who had them), and they weren't advanced.

The second version often had exercises in bad sequence (doing a decline ab exercise immediately after doing a cardio segment? Ridiculous!), had stupid, sometimes offensive, though supposedly 'funny' comments on the bottom of the screen.

After that, I decided no more "PUSH" for me. (Though I did try a DVD that came free with some magazine....the warm-up had some stretches that I wouldn't recommend doing, like full head circles...I thought they'd gone out years ago!...and there was actually no cardio warm-up before the stretches. It didn't impress me.)
