Crazy Strong and Loving It for September 5, 2009

Hi and good morning,

I will take an easy walk with DH, I just can't sit on my behind all day long. It hurts just sitting. Nothing to crazy, just an easy walk! :(

Debbie, thanks for your kind words! Please, be careful with your weights. I know you have a lot of back problems too. I would like to think that STS didn’t do this to me, LOL! I do have to say since starting M2, I struggled with my chest presses. All my other weights where fine. I always go much slower than Cathe, because the tempo was way to fast for me. I hope I am up and running by next week, not even sure how long this will last? I am so frustrated. If I have the ok to workout next week, I will even go lower in weights. Do you think that is a good idea?

Chris, Thanks you! The doctor told me it can happen to anybody, just one wrong move? I did struggle with my chest on Monday, but I did lower my weights by 10 lb. Maybe my weights were still too heavy? Maybe I jerked something while running on Tuesday? I don’t know? She did ask me, how much weight I lift. I told here for squats I lifted 90lb, she told me that is way to much weight for me! I was thinking other people lift more than I am?? Great job on your workout yesterday.

Heather, I feel like a total failure right now! No one I know get’s any of it either. The doctor looked at me like I am nuts when I ask her if I can at least do some yoga.

Good Morning,

I did workout last nite but my computer was so slow I wasn't in the mood to deal with it so I will log today. My workout for today is 4ds chest and tris with Gs warm up I learned that a warm up is very important I didn't do that last nite with SB and I am hurting this morning. I would like everyones opionion on this next question. I like just doing the 30 min workouts but do you think I will get the lean tone look I want just doing 30 min wt work? I have lost 1 inch in hips, baby pooch, and waist.

Hey Everyone!

Today is stretch day for me, but probably will end up chore day for me! It's my usual getting ready for a working weekend.... I do like that the pressure is off for a formal workout today (like I posted to you yesterday, remember, Heather?). Just hope I don't get in an icky mood because I don't get the cardio.

: Yeah, I do think sitting is probably the worst thing for your back! Is it your low back , mid or upper? An easy walk sounds good! Personally, the weight amounts for legs in STS scared me. I could never lift that much on my back without being afraid of an injury. I never even did the 1RM's for legs, I just went with a heavy weight or the heaviest I was comfortable with . And I did Plyo Legs for Meso 3. Be careful!!

Roxie: It sounds like the 30 minute workouts are working for you with your inches lost! I do think it's all an individual thing. How your body responds to exercise and activity . I know it sucks to have to figure it out yourself, because I wish someone could tell me how to get rid of these 7 lbs that will NOT go away. Good workout today, You're splitting up the 4DS weight work? Are you doing a rotation? ....

: Great job on Plyo Legs yesterday!!! I really wanted to do this rotation, but I also commited (and really wanted) to start STS on Monday the 14th with my rotation buddies. I can live vicariously through you , though!
I must go get started on my "to do" list!

I am just kind of freestyling it right now. I have new Kelly Coffeys coming so I might do a rotation with them but I kind of like just doing something different and not commited to one instructor or rotation. I am just keeping everything to 30 mins it just seems easier for me to stick to.
 
Hey everyone!

Today I woke up, finished my homework that is due tomorrow, and then tackled my workout. I did Power Strike to start off with - but only burned a little over 300 cals, so then I jumped on the treadmill and did some sprints. My goal was to hit 500cals at least. I did that and then cooled down and stretched with Cathe. 556cals burned. Felt great!

Now its off to do some house cleaning before packing up and heading up north to my parents. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Debbie is probably the best one to ask. Sounds like you're probably already doing what you need to be doing. Are you doing full body weights are splitting upper/lower or splitting up by muscle groups? Maybe do a circuit workout one day that includes your cardio and weights?

I have been doing legs one day, back and bis one day chest, tris and shoulders one day and the rest cardio. I just want to know if 30 min workouts are as effective as 60 min ones.

I'm just checking in for Saturday's workout a bit late, but I did finish it on Saturday night about 10pm ish.

Here's today's workout:

iTread 20min Set6+1 song to walk/cool down=25 Min
Distance= 2.02 Miles
Calories burned=327
BPM's=120,149,148,155,158,154,112. All BPM's were 80% to 87% MHR in the zone for me with exception of 120 bpm warmup and 112 as the cool down bpm.

Gym Styles: Back, Shoulders, and Biceps=51 min
Calories burned=396
Phew!!!

Chris- Bravo on starting a STS rotation again!!! Oh and thanks for the kind words.:)

Roxie- Yes, I read about KCM's new DVD's being in the mail, I can't wait!!!! That will be so cool. I'm sure we'll be commenting on them and sharing the excitement.;)
