Cooolers~~~~Remembrance Week

Hi girls!
This morning's workout was CTX Back and Biceps, then abs, with added planks. Good little workout, even though it was only around 35 minutes long I think. I tell you, Cathe just burns your biceps in that CTX upper body workout. After that, I went to a baby shower for my niece, came home and stacked wood (finally finished!), then did a 20 mile bike ride. Haven't done any housework today, but did make a turkey soup that's pretty tasty. How can you go wrong with a turkey soup. I think you could just about throw dog food in it and it would still taste good. Tomorrow will be a golf game at 11 with a girlfriend. Looking forward to it as we haven't played together since the time change. I also plan on raking some leaves in the afternoon and doing a bit of housework.

Patricia, wow, going to start decorating for Christmas already? I'm lucky to get the tree up 2 weeks before. No, I didn't see the slingshot golf. Sounds interesting. Have fun visiting those old workouts. I have a Karen Voight that I should pull out sometime. However, it has some guy in it in a wrestling leotard thingy and he's leering at Karen's behind. I think it's her Great Weighted Workout, low weights and high reps. I used to do her workouts before I found Cathe.

Kim, did you go shop with your MIL? I'm sorry she's feeling down. My Mom is the opposite of your MIL and doesn't seem to get into Christmas too much. She just can't seem to handle the pressures of the season. I remind her that a lot of us have to work 8 hours a day, plus get our Christmas stuff done. Great that you are so organized. I am on some stuff and other stuff I just don't care about. How is DS doing? Hope he's feeling chipper again. Which Christi do you have? I think her Fantastic Four workout is less complicated. I hear her "Humble Beginnings" is good for the newcomers to her cuing, but I don't own that one.

Okay, best move along.

Good Morning from Winter Wonderland! Good thing we got the ski doo yesterday:):) Just enough snow today to take a spin around the lawn before parking it.

Earlier today I did the Grind Fat Blasting w/o lead by Patricia Moreno. I think this VHS was from 1987 so a bit old! More for beginners. There was suppose to be a leg segment at the end of the cardio but all it was was showing you once how to do a squat, lunge, calf raises and that to do three sets of 12. Si nce when do you buy a video to do the w/o on your own? Anyhow the cardio was a big fun as it had really good music. Glad I didn't pay for it though. I'm going to try Buns of Steel later today I think.

We went to the Santa Claus Parade also. Quite a few floats all decorated with your favourite Xmas Movie. Most of them were the Grinch who stole Xmas and Nightmare b/4 Xmas. DS had fun though and enjoyed getting all the candies being handed out.

Jeanette - hard not to get into the Xmas spirit with seeing all that white out there now. Plus I didn't decorate last year as we were painting up to the mid of Dec. and not home for Xmas but I missed it and DS needs to see it too! Can't decide whether to get a real tree this year or borrow my Mom's fake one. It just takes up a lot of space storage wise.

Okay, off to decorate and put some time in between lunch and my leg w/o.

Did the 4ds Boot camp cardio only, dd joined me :D but she ditched me to do the 200 lunges on my own  Those were hard!! Finished up the second week of the Nov rotation as scheduled. Looking forward to a rest day tomorrow.

Patricia Sounds like you're getting in the Christmas spirit! I'm sure this year will be so much fun with the age ds is at! What is Supreme Pilates? I have quite a few pilates dvd but could never get into them or yoga much. I'm such a cardio addict.

Jeanette Did you cook a turkey to do the turkey soup? Is Thanksgiving the last weekend in NOvember?? How was the golf game today?

I had to laugh, when I read you question asking how ds was doing. Because I was reading it at 2 am when I was up because of him. He's better but has this nasty dry cough and some asthma still. Last night he was coughing so much he couldn't sleep and neither could I  The computer is outside his bedroom in the family room so I was on the 'puter after giving him some cold med to see if it helped. It didn't! I ended up driving to the 24 hr drugstore at 2 am to buy some cough syrup which did seem to help I didn't sleep till 3am which is way past my 10 pm bedtime. I had a nap this afternoon. Thanks for asking about him, I think I need to get him on some good multivitamins to build up his strength.

I have Christi Taylor's Hi-Lo Heaven, do you have that one? I bought it for cheap like $3 when CK Sales in Canada close down but only tried it once. It looked good but just thought I would need to spend some time getting used to her style.

Off to watch some junkie tv and veg on the couch! Kim

Hi gals,
Today I did Christi Taylor's Totally Cool Step for about 45 minutes. Then played 9 holes of golf (walking) with a girlfriend. We then decided to play another 9 holes, but rented a cart for it. I didn't play too well, but had a very enjoyable time. The weather was just perfect today. Came home and raked a ton of leaves in the front yard. Glad that's done. Think DH may burn some of them tomorrow. I need to go to my Mom's tomorrow night to see if we can get her new laptop hooked up to the internet.

Kim, good for you for doing those walking lunges. Looks like I ditched you too on those. Guess the 9 holes walking doesn't count. Darn. DH had purchased a smoked turkey so I used the carcass for the soup. Actually, the smoked turkey tastes a lot like ham to me. I had some soup when I got done with golf. Sure hit the spot. Your poor son and his cough. I get sooo tired of a cough when I'm well over the cold, but the cough hangs on. Sometimes sleeping with a humidifier next to my bed will help a bit. I heard someone suggest colostrum that you buy at the health food store for building up immunity, but I've never tried it. My grandchildren are sick a lot and I've suggested that for them, but don't think they've tried it. I do have Christi Taylor's Hi-Lo Heaven. It's part of the Fantastic Four DVD.

Patricia, you are right. I think snow would help me get more excited about Christmas. However, it was a beautiful mid 60's day today and I really, really enjoyed it. Soon enough it will get cold and snowy. I've only been on a snowmobile a couple times in my life, but it was fun. If the winters were longer around here, I'm sure snowmobiles would be more popular as we are surrounded by National Forest land. We do have a few designated snowmobile trails up here. Hope we get a good heavy winter of snow. The fires are terrible down in southern California right now. I think I just heard that 800 houses have burned. Just awful. We have inmate fire crews working down there now.

Tomorrow is my rest day, will sleep in a little longer in the morning.
