Just starting us off. I didn't get up early so will run this evening. My plan is to run from 7-8. then watch the office at 8 and ER at 9. Will tape Survivor to watch on the weekend :p Isn't that awful, I never use to watch hardly any tv not have a few shows that are must sees. Anyone else excited about new shows starting??

Jeanette Glad you had fun golfing last night. Did DH arrive home last night? Did they get anything? MIL was looking good last but she hasn't walked too much yet hopefully she'll go home on the weekend. She had already seen the physio and occupational therapist and that she told them I was a therapist and that they all seem to know who I was ?? but she couldn't remember their names. Of course I've been very involved in the professional associations so people often know my names.

Laurie I sure hope someone does something about the poor horse. I hate seeing animals mistreated. My SIL works for the humane society, I glad someone does that job but there is no way I could.

Today was Cathe's Push/Pull, yes, the entire 41 minute workout, or whatever it is. I ended with stretching. Girls, I think I know the cause of my tight hips and lower back twinges. Tight hip flexors. While doing Turbo Jam yesterday, I had a problem with tucking my hips under like Chalene shows you. I'm going to start stretching them more diligently (I did zero before) and see if it makes a difference. Tight hip flexors also come from sitting all day at a computer (guilty). They also tend to tilt the top of the pelvis forward, creating a sway and compressing the lower back. Another sign is that when I would do Kick Max and stretch the leg straight forward, I couldn't get my leg straight, far from it in fact. If anyone has any thoughts on this or exercises/stretches to assist, please chime in.

DH came home around 10:30 p.m., we were all so glad to see him and vice versa. He said it was just too long away from home. Of course, he's never been separated from his girls (besides work) for that long. He missed us. The elk hunt was unsuccessful, but they had a good time anyway.

Kim, enjoy those shows! Glad we have stuff like DVR's so if need be, we can do other things and not miss those shows. Glad your MIL is feeling better. Does she have bone density problems? Something I need to check out this year for sure. I was tempted to sleep in a bit this morning, but we only have one TV and I don't want to tie it up for DH in the evening so I have to work out in the morning. Of course, he's off today so it wouldn't matter, but oh well. Workout's done.

I didn't get to run 2m yesterday, because of the long wait for oldest DD to finish her practice last night. So this morning I finished that, and BBS Timesaver #2 Back and Abs. Actually worked out for the best, because I really didn't want to do another step workout. :eek:

Kim, I watch a couple of shows, and we use the DVR quite a bit. I enjoy watching Heros, Bones and the CSI's. I was excited about Heros, because the writers strike made that one end way to soon last year! :D

Jeanette, I know you may not want to hear this, but StretchX has some really good stretches for those hips. :eek: Also the first first segment of Stretchmax is good for this also. Isn't it nice to know that the DH's actually do miss us when we are not around. :D Ya I kind of figured it might be $ for feeding the horse, but then again they have enough $ to buy beer! :( Hopefully the fat goats and pig they also have are not eating all the horses food! :confused:

This thread is getting lonelier. Oh well, I'm here for the duration.

Hopped on my bike around 5 p.m. Was going to do a spin around our local loop that's about 17 miles long. I got about 3.5 miles into it and got a flat back tire. No problem, hopped off and went to change it and put a new spare in (instead of patching the punctured tube). Dumb me, for some reason, I pulled out the old tube, and put the old tube back in. Then proceeded to try to pump it up and was puzzled why it wouldn't hold air. I probably spent 15-20 minutes thinking it was my pump that wasn't working right. Finally dawned on me that maybe I put the wrong tube back in. Duuuuuhhh.:rolleyes: Once I took out the old tube, put in the new tube, I pumped it up and was in business. I decided to ride back home as I didn't have another spare with me and no cell phone. Total mileage --- 7 miles.

Laurie, I may have to buy Stretch Max. That's one I don't own, but now that I'm finally seeing I need to do more stretching, I might just get it. My hips felt really good today. I made sure I did some more stretching when I got done with my epic bike ride today too. Do you see more hay around for the horse? It really bothers me to see animals mistreated. Yep, DH really missed me. Maybe I'll get him to commit to driving the golf cart for me on Sunday afternoon. Get him while he's weak...that's my motto.:p

Kim, bet you are busy watching your shows. I need to go see what's on...
