~~~~Coolers in July~~~
Good Afternoon Coolers,
TaeBo Get Ripped #2 was my workout of choice. Will be going out with my girlfriends after work, so this will be a bad eating day. I'm going to have a beer, because hey I can! :eek:
Kim, Just a few to go and you can say you accomplished the workouts in Insanity!
Have a wonderful day!
I'm sure you're sick of hearing me grumble about Insanity:rolleyes: (only 4 left)
Busy at work today, made supper and did my workout. NOthing exciting here. Sure hoping that the house gets started tomorrow on schedule:p
DS broke his glasses today at hockey camp. I bought them at Walmart in December so I phoned them to ask about the warranty. The guy told me that the warranty is void if kids play while wearing the glasses (and he wasn't talking about sports he didn't know ds age). He said all kids should remove their glasses before they start to play:confused::confused::confused: I actually started laughing and he told me to call the manager tomorrow and he hung up.
Laurie, enjoy your night out with friends!! I think I need that soon.
Patricia, are you busy with packing? Hoping everything is okay we haven't heard from you in awhile.
Morning Coolers,
Today was GS Back, Shoulders & Biceps along with 1:1 Killer Abs.
Had a great time with my girlfriends last night, and yes I did have a beer which tasted great.
Kim, Sorry to hear about the glasses, I'm guessing that you don't have a pair of sports glasses for your ds. Those can take a beating, but they can get expensive. Keep up the great work on Insanity, you are almost finished.
Patricia, Hope all is going well for you.
Have a great day!
So we are proud owners of a hole in the ground! We were all so excited yesterday that we drove over after supper but really not much to see yet, still exciting though.
I'm not working today.:D They wanted me to but I said no it's been such a busy week for everyone, the kids look exhausted. Long days for them up at 6:45 and not home till 5 pm. DD was at daycare with lots of field trips and ds at hockey camp. DS still has hockey camp today but with me not working he can go in a hour later. I wanted to do some errands but I have a feeling dd will be very grumpy so she might not be cooperative.
I will get Insanity done later and some housework. Looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend! Are you busy at the faire this weekend Laurie??
Morning Coolers
Sorry I've been AWOL, I've been busy meeting some deadlines at work and I'm having difficulty with them:eek:
We have a wonderful hot hot hot weekend at the cottage. First time this year we all went swimming:) Had BB Tues night and we won. Started off the game with a SMASHING hit. :D:D We played with 7 girls and 4 guys. That's the 2nd time we've won with more girls then guys. :D:p I think we're the secret weapon!
Wed. I did 4DS low impact step then the UB pre-mix from HSTA. Last night was Leaner Legs.
My agent was showing our house yesterday and called to say he didn't see on of the cats. Got home after work and looked around and Morgan is missing. DH says he saw her in the a.m. I'm wondering if she slipped out when one of us left for work. She likes to try and get out. She is microchipped so hopefully we will get a call about her.
1 week to the move. The packers come in next Tues. and Wed. then load the truck Thurs. Hopefully we get the keys early on Fri. as they're scheduled to move us in then.
Kim - I haven't pack a single thing!:p:p I'll have to do a few things this weekend that I don't want the packers to see but other than that, I'm not lifting a finger! I'll have enough fun unpacking next weekend:eek: You must be about finished insanity now. So glad to hear you at least have a HOLE:D Now the fun really begins. You might be in by November if things go well. Hope you enjoy your day off. Sounds like you need the rest. Having kids at home is more work aren't they then when they're at school.
Laurie - I don't know how you find the time & energy to w/o 2x day. I'm starting to use more of the pre-mixes and then they are sooo under utilized. I'm anxious to get onto BBC next month when all the "dust" has settled. I'm finding with summer activities it's hard to commit to a non-flexible rotation so I'm just winging it:D
Who ever viewed our house yesterday went to the bank straight afterwards according to our agent. He is representing them also, so hopefully I might have good news soon. We have to hire someone to cut the lawn starting next week and of course someone has to check on the house every few days. What a drag. Sure would be nice to at least have it sold b/4 we leave.
Next week will be fun with signing papers, and changing mailing addresses. At least here there is no line-up at the gov't offices. You're in and out in 5 min. generally. X-my fingers I didn't just jinx myself with that comment:D
DH is going to T.O. with a friend to see Rush, so just me and DS at home for the weekend.
Have a great weekend.
What a busy time for you Patricia! You seem super organized!!
DS was dropped off and Insanity is done! Two workouts left!
Morning Coolers,
Insanity Plyo Cardio Circuit for me this morning.
Kim, Congrats on getting a hole in the ground! :D Enjoy you day off, sounds like everyone needs the rest. Yep it is suppose to be hot/humid this weekend, so really not looking forward to the faire. But this to shall pass.
Patricia, So glad to hear from you, just to bad you have those deadlines to meet. Congrats on the bb win, of course the ladies are good luck. LOL WTG on the hit also. Will be crossing my fingers also for the sale of your house. Funny how summer is so busy, I thought that my summer would be a lot less hectic. Ya right, probably won't be normal until we cut down on the faire. Only this summer and next! :D
Have a great weekend,
Well. the weekend is almost over already, how come they go so fast!
Friday night ds and I went over to the house again and it looked like they got lots done on Friday, it's going to be so tempting to drive over everyday and see what's up but what a time/gas commitment.
Saturday, it poured rain all day, I got Insanity done, read lots and did some housework. In the evening we took the kids out for ice cream and then rented the movie, The Bucket List. It was good. Nice to have such a relaxing lazy day.
Today, DH went for a 11 mile run in the nearby provincial park and I went and rode my bike. I think I'll leave the final Insanity workout, the Fit Test for Tuesday and rest tomorrow. I felt that my body was too tired to do an accurate fit test.
This afternoon we hit MIL's pool since it was quite hot. The kids sure enjoyed that.
Patricia, did the cat come home? Were you back up at the cottage this weekend? SO if you're moving this week are you off work for awhile? I have to say again, I'm amazed at how relaxed you are!
How did the faire go this weekend Laurie? Are you taking some holidays this summer? I have one week left and then I"m off for 2 weeks.:D No big plans though.
It recently occured to me that I have committed to being away for the next 9 weekends.:eek: 4 weekends camping, the 2 holiday weekends at my mom's cottage, 1 family trip to Minneapolis, one girl's only shopping trip to the USA and one sleepover at a hotel for dd's birthday. I don't really like the idea of being away so many weekends in a row may have to cancel something.:cool:
Getting tons of veggies from the garden. It's done very well this year.
Morning Coolers
I'm so excited as the move is soo close now. Packers come tomorrow. My BB team gave me a going away gift yesterday. It was our last game (and we won). They had me hit 1st and I made the last out of the game so a good send-off. We have a game on Thurs. but my DH has already said I can't go:mad::mad: We will see! If the movers are done and we just sitting in the hotel room killing time guess where I'll be! We're staying here Thurs. night then driving down to the city on Friday so why not I say!:D
Went for a really good walk on Friday and boy, my legs were talking to me on Sat. Between the walk and LL on Thurs. it hurt to move. I went to a couple thrift stores on Sat. looking for some books and found Charlene Prickett's Serious Curves. You can only buy in in VHS and I've been interested in it. It's 1hr TB heavy weight w/o. 2 sets of each excercise, 10 reps max. My abs are talking to me today too!
Kim - sounds like you're living out of a suitcase for the next few months! I just hate that and being away from home so many weekends too. Its just too hard to get everthing done during the week. (psst - stay home from camping one weekend - have DH take the kids away and have the house entirely to your self:D;)) Good news on our cat. We left our names at the Humane Society and we got the call Fri to say someone had found it. Several blocks away though:eek: They wanted to keep her for the weekend b/c their kids really like her!
Laurie - not sick of Insanity yet that they keep popping up in your rotation! Why do you only have one more year left for fairre? Is it a decision you've made that enough is enough?
Morning Coolers,
Nothing for me this morning, because I just was not motivated. :rolleyes: It was so hot yesterday, it just sapped what little energy there was in my body. I also am changing my mind about the GS premixes. I really didn't like how the BSB premix was put together. You would just put your weight down from one exercise, and as soon as that happened the DVD would be having Cathe doing another exercise. :confused:
Kim, Glad to hear the the hole in the ground is getting worked on. ;) Nice to have a relaxing weekend. Totally understand why you would want to cancel something to have a weekend free. :eek: I have that all summer, and am really getting tired of it. We will be going on vacation the first week in August. We are planning on visiting with my parents. The girls have not spent a great amount of time in my hometown, so we thought it would be good for them to see some sites.
Patricia, Sounds like a very nice way for your bb team to send you off. Hope you get all the packing done so you can go to the game. Sounds like a good workout to have, that is something that I have been looking for. Heavy weight/Total Body with the right rep count. :D To bad it is only on VHS. When DH took the job of Guildemaster, he promised us that it would only be for 5 years. This year is his 4th year, and I think all of us are getting a little tired and need to take some weekends off. Almost felt like we didn't have a winter break. :D
Have a wonderful day!
Morning Coolers
Started doing some packing last night, things like confidential information and unhooking electronic equipment. Got the spare bedroom bedding all laundered. I've packed a suitcase of just clean bedding so I won't have to hunt for it:) Did some paint touch-up too. I still managed to get a w/o in. I did KPC last night then set aside Travel Fit to do tonight if possible. Packers come at noon:D:D:) Hope they have small boxes for my weights:):eek::D
DS was being crabby at dinner so we sent him to his room. I checked on him a little later and he was sound asleep. He was up late both Sat and Sun so probably catching up with him. He slept 12hrs straight. I was worried that he hadn't gone to the bathroom b/4 sleeping but that boy can hold it:rolleyes:
Laurie - so if DH wasn't the Guildmaster would you still do the fairre? I know being in charge of anything takes some of the fun out of it. I was talking to my GF's husband last night. She was the President and manager of my old BB team. She hadn't played in several years and he told me she joined a team this year and is really enjoying just showing up to play and not having to organise anything. I ended up being her Assistant Mgr and was President of my bowling league for years so I know it's a lot of extra work. You know, in this nice weather I've been enjoying just going for a walk in the neighbourhood lately. I've noticed some of the premixes switch over pretty quick with no warning. Have to have the pause button close by:D
Morning Coolers,
So no workout last night, just not enough time or energy. ;) So this morning was Hiit 40/20 and 4DS Chest & Back. Thought the Hiit was a good sub for the High Intensity Step. :eek:
Patricia, Good job on getting your workouts done, even with all the packing that you have before you. Those long weekends really take their toll on those little ones. Sure sounds like he had a good nights sleep, sure wish I could get my body to sleep that long. That internal alarm clock just clicks on. :rolleyes: When DH isn't the guildemaster we are going to be going to part time. There are other things that we would like to do on weekends (like car shows), and I think some time spent in England and Scotland are on the agenda also. :D
Have a great day!
INSANITY IS DONE!!!:D:D:D:D:D:D
Suicide Jumps 16 21
Push-up jacks 25 36
Low Plank Oblique 58 84
I'm glad that I took the rest day as I was able to give it my all. Happy with the results and even happier that it's over!:eek: They are good workouts just not enough variety.
Patricia, I don't know if you're still online but good luck with the move. Hopefully you get to your baseball game on Thursday it'll be fun to do something away from packing! I don't know if I answered your question about my eye surgery. I am getting the lasik surgery on August 3rd! Did your ds wake up full of energy this morning! How is he taking the move??
Laurie How are the girls' summer classes going?
The kids are doing swimming lessons this week. DD is going with daycare. It is her last week in day care! After going to day care since she was 6 months old!! It was great writing the very last day care cheque!
Morning Coolers,
Skunk encounter this moring, and this time it was a lot closer. :eek: Cami was about 5ft. away from the thing, and I was pulling on the leash and moving my feet fast! LOL I was a little worried when the skunk turned sideways, but it went inot the culvert. :D
Today's workout was 4DS Kickbox, Legs & Abs. :cool:
Kim, Great results from the Insanity rotation! I agree there isn't a lot of variety, but they sure do take the endurance up a notch. What a milestone you have reached, and I agree that the last payment to daycare was nice for us to. The DD's are doing really well in there classes. The youngest passed her science class, and is doing really well in social studies right now. Oldest is getting a 101% in her World History. After today they only have 4 days left of summer school.
Partricia, Happy packing! :eek:
Have a wonderful day!
Morning Coolers
Got home last night (DH was out with DS for dinner and BB) and the packers had packed up all the kitchen, dishes everything. Luckily there were still dishes in the dishwasher. I thought I'd just have cereal for dinner and they had already packed that. I told DH why pack the cereal. What am I going to do for breakfast:confused: Anyhow, luckily there were leftovers in the fridge that I had instead. Already in packed boxes 2x to find something:confused: but not complaining. The house is about 80% packed and they're back today. I did manager to fit in Travel Fit last night. I hid the DVD and band in my dressers figuring all my weights, etc would be put away.
Laurie - whew on the close encounters. I guess you get those a lot with walking a dog:D:confused:
Kim - CONGRATS on your results. Now what do you have planned. I hear you on the daycare cheque. I thought DS would be in full-time SK this fall but it's still 2-3 full days so paying more than I thought I would be for the next year yet.
I probably will be in to work tomorrow but not sure if I'll get time to visit here. If you don't hear from me have a great weekend. The computer is suppose to be up and running Sat. a.m. so we will see if I get time to say hi!
Well the movers are at our house loading us up right now. Yeah!:D
I'm at work as I would just be in the way. My office is all boxed up so just trying to do some last minute things. I haven't started to change my mailing address yet so will start making the calls today.
Morning Coolers,
Today was Kristin McGee's Power Yoga. I am on a yoga challenge, so every Thursday morning will be yoga for me. Interesting that my injured leg isn't quite as strong as it should be. I noticed it during the Warrior 3 pose. This challenge will be very good for me.
Patricia, Very exciting that your house is getting all packed up. But you will be so busy getting everything unpacked. ;) Interesting how you had to hide things so they wouldn't get packed away. :eek: Way to get those workouts in though.
Have a great day!
I'm on holidays for 2 weeks!:p;):D
We were supposed to leave right after work to go camping but it's pouring rain. It's actually supposed to clear up this evening and be a beautiful weekend. We just decided to get up in the morning and go so we don't have to set up camp in the rain. It's only about a 75 minute drive and we'll be all packed. Nice to have a quiet evening at home before heading out.
Laurie, hopefully the yoga will help the leg! Do you still get pain in it?
Good luck with the move!
I started an album labelled "house", there is only 2 pictures in there. Not very exciting pics yet but will get more exciting:D As you can see we have neighbours across and beside us but it's going to be a large park behind us.
Morning Coolers,
We had some horrible storms again last night, and we where in the basement for a portion of the night. A funnel cloud was sighted in the area. In the Milwaukee are they had seven inches of rain in an hour, so lot's of flooding.
Today's workout was 4DS Bootcamp / Bi's and Tri's.
Kim, Very interesting pics. Do you have a basement? Our hole in the ground was so deep, so really interesting to see your hole in the ground being so shallow. Enjoy your camping, and you holiday.
Have a wonderful weekend,
