Afternoon Coolers

Going out to see Sherlock Holmes tonight. Not sure if I'll get a w/o in before that or not. If so, some sort of TB.

Laurie - the funny thing about where I live right now, a snow storm adds maybe 2 min. to my drive. Sooo not looking forward to moving back to the city and experiencing a drive like yours again:(

Oh Laurie, that's a long drive!! I would find that so frustrating! Not much snow here but COLD! Going to MINUS 40 tonight (and that's the same in Celsius and Fahrenheit). MMA Boxing was okay, I had the weighted gloves on and found it a good workout not super hard, but hard enough. DH found it on the easy side without weighted gloves. We both liked the ab section

Patrica, How was SHerlock Holmes? I wouldn't mind seeing that movie. I'm going to Step Moves tomorrow, I'm looking forward to trying it. Hopefully I don't get to frustrated, when I previewed it last weekend I didn't think it look it too bad. But it's different actually doing it.

I realized yesterday that I don't have Cardio Core Circuit, I think I was mixing it up with Circuit Blast and thinking it was the same workout. I emailed SNM and they're sending one out so hopefully by next Wednesday when it's in the rotation.

Have you seen the drama in the Ask Cathe forum??

Morning Coolers,

This morning I got in W5D3 of GW28K on the treadmill, I was not going to run in the 7 inches of snow that was on the ground. It was hard enough walking the dog in the drifts that we had. After work I do want to get Shred #2 in, since I had to fire up the computer to see if the girls had school. And yes they did, because our road crews are so good. :D

Patricia, So did you get to the movie, because I'm seriously thinking of going to see that one. I love Robert Downey Jr. as an actor, but dang is he looking OLD. Guess that is what all those years of hard living do to a body.

Kim, Took a look at that thread, and WOW! I'll just look and not comment though. :D Glad you are able to get that DVD. I think that is why I like those MMA workouts, they will have not dread factor for me like Kickmax does. I have not done that workout in years, just because I don't like all that high impact cardio in it. Well I know that I'm happy with our snow, since it is a tad warmer around here that it was last week. :D

Have a great day!

Good Friday Morning Coolers

Oh, my shoulders and back are sore from yesterday's w/o. I did Slim Series Mix it Up and feeling it today in a good way. I'm going to to do MMA Boxing tonight. It'll be my 1st time but since I"m sore in the shoulders won't try it with the gloves:p

We're going to T.O. tomorrow for the Boat Show so will be gone for the weekend.

Sherlock Holmes was GREAT. Very flashy photography, and fast moving. I think this one lends itself to watching it 2x. I think it was a good 2hrs too which is a bonus. Highly recommend it.

Kim - heck, I never noticed if any DVDs were missing from my package. I guess I better check that out tonight. I just came from the Cathe forum and Wow. I'm glad that Cathe responded to Kathryn the way she did as it is something I've often wondered.

Laurie - I just love RDJ too. Yeah, you can tell he is aging but not in a bad way. You should see is Upper Body! yum yum yum Worth the price of admission alone:D

Evening Coolers

Relaxing now after my w/o. Did MMA Kickboxing tonight and just loved it. The cardio length to me was just right. I skipped the core work as I've done core 2 days in a row already and just a little bit sore:D I have a feeling my PF will be talking to me tomorrow though. Lots of calf work in this on. Music was okay too.

We're of to T.O. tomorrow for the Boat Show. DH will take DS along with another friend of ours and his son then we will meet up for dinner. I'll have the afternoon all to myself to walk around the Eaton Centre. Must watch the wallet!

So tomorrow will be my rest day.

Have a great weekend Coolers

I did Step Moves and abs this morning. I stumbled my way through Step Moves and felt like I got a good workout. I think I'll try and watch some of the more complicated sections again this weekend. I think I"ll really enjoy this workout once I have the moves done.

Have fun shopping and a weekend off from exercise! DH and I are going to try and get to Sherlock Holmes this weekend.

I was glad that Cathe said something to Kathyrn as well. I don't know Kathyrn at all but see her posts on this website and the video fitness website and I was happy to see Cathe stand up for herself.

What are you up to this weekend Laurie??

Yesterday was a rest day but my hamstrings were so tight from disc 3 so I ended up doing the STS stretch which helped! DH and I did get to see Sherlock Holmes. The movie theatre was just crazy busy!! I enjoyed the movie! Now that ds is 12 yrs old we're letting him watch his sister for a couple of hours at a time, it's sure nice having that freedom.

This morning DH and I did disc 4 (Chest, Shoulders, Biceps) and then I decided to do Step moves again to try and get the choreography down. Yesterday I had rewatched some of the sections that I had trouble with. Today I did much better. No plans the rest of the day but will see what the kids want to do after lunch.

Morning Coolers,

This morning was 30 Day Shred #1, and JW Power Circuit Training: Total Body Circuit. Sunday I ran on the tm and got W6D1 of GW28k finished, and Saturday was NMTZ.

Patricia, So did your wallet survive the weekend? :D Thanks for the info on Sherlock Homes, maybe DH and I can get to that this weekend.

Kim, Well we had a busy weekend, after getting my workout done and DD to dance class. We went to a party. That was Saturday. Sunday was just busy getting some housework finished, and my exercise done during the football game. My poor team lost in OT. :( Enjoy the freedom, and after that you start wondering what it is like when there will be no children around. Our oldest only has one more year of school. Time goes so fast.

Have a great day!

Evening Coolers

Had a nice trip to T.O. Got to go over to friends for dinner and even a did a bit of outdoor skating. Got home later yesterday and did High Step Training Advanced and today did Hiit 40/20 along with Med Ball Abs. I liked 40/20. Just when you think you can't take anymore the w/o is over:D

Laurie - I was just not in the mood to open my wallet this weekend so my cc bill won't scare me after all.:p Hmm, saving it up for my trip to Florida next month.:p

Kim - freedom? what's that? LOL I'm so amazed how much they're paying attention to us. DS said the other day that when we move he wants to leave all his toys and that the t.v. will have to stay b/c it's too big to get out of the house. It just came out of nowhere so I can tell he is thinking about things on his own.

Morning Coolers,

This morning was W6D2 of GW28K on the treadmill. Would like to get 30 Day Shred #2, and probably some type of stretching done after work.

DH is leaving for a couple of days for work, so hopefully I will be able to get the DD's going for the next two mornings while still getting in a workout. ;)

Patricia, LOL about your DS and his moving ideas. :D Good for you on not using that cc, and saving the $ for you trip. Got to love a short but intense workout. ;)

Have a great day!

Morning Coolers

No w/o for me yesterday - just no energy. DS isn't sleeping the greatest so of course I'm not either:confused: Have hockey practice tonight and then I'll decide what w/o to do.

Did you see the new announcement about the 1st Cathe video for download - Step N Motion #1. I can't view the clips from work so will have to wait until I get home.

Laurie - how have your mornings gone? Did you get your w/os in?

How come ds wants to leave all his toys behind??

The schedule shows Cardio Core Circuit but that's the dvd I'm missing and it hasn't come yet so will trade in something else maybe the kickboxing, will decide later.

Lauire, I hope your dd's are being cooperative this morning! DH does the morning routine as well as I leave early for work, I get home earlier ad do supper. My dd can be a terror in the morning so I'm happy to leave her with her dad.

Morning Coolers,

Well I was able to get in NMTZ this morning. :D

Patricia, I don't know if I will be interested in Step-n-Motion #1, because I am not doing that much step anymore. :( I bet those outfits are interesting in that video though. :D Hope your DS starts to get in his sleep, so that you are able to sleep better also.

Kim, My DD's where very cooperative, and now it makes me sorry for DH having to deal with these two every morning. They sure do give him the business, and a lot of it is just because they want to be contrary!

Have a great day!

I watched the clip from Step N Motion #1, very cute!

I did the Kickboxing workout, it was good. Not too hard just a nice workout. I really liked the ab section at the end, some new moves.

I booked time in February to have laser surgery on my eyes. Has anyone had it done? I have very weak prescription glasses. For distance only so I don't wear them much. I really need new glasses and for the cost it doesn't cost that much more to have the surgery so might just do that instead. I have a free consult with the doctor the week before so will decide for sure then.

Morning Coolers,

This morning was doggy daycare day, so I have not gotten in my run. I did manage to do 30 Day Shred #2 and the last 3 circuits of BFBM. That was a nice way to get through circuit #6 in that workout. :D

DH is suppose to get home today, so I'm happy that I won't have to worry about the girls getting up for school. Wait until I tell him that the youngest got up a half hour earlier than she usually does.

Kim, I really liked all the ab work in those workouts too. I'm glad she did some different moves than she normally does. So far they have not advanced laser surgery enough for me to see better with having it done. ;) My eyes are horrible. They could correct some of my vision problems, but I would still have to wear glasses.

Have a great day!

Afternoon Coolers

Last night I did SS - Tone it Up (I think??) - anyhow a leg w/o. Tonight we have a Real Estage Agent coming by to talk to. We want to meet a couple b/4 we decide who to list with this spring.

Kim - I had laser done 2 years ago and it was a very good experience. You won't know until after your consult if you're a good candidate for it or not. I too had a fairly mild prescription for distance. My pupils are slightly bigger than average so they had to use a different computer program which isn't used as often so cost about $500 more. When I spoke to my eye dr afterwards (different from the guy doing the laser) he said I actually had the better treatment and if he did it he would actually request that program. So ask about that. The actual surgery took less than 10 min and you don't feel a thing. They'll tape clear protective lenses over your eyes that you keep on for 24hrs. At your followup appt the next day they take them off. I had to put them on at night for 2 weeks just as a preventative measure to not rub your eyes as a lot of people do out of habit when they wake up. The most annoying thing was the eye drops. My eyes seemed to be very dry so I had to continue those for like 8 months or more. At first every 2 hours or so then as time goes on you increase the time between drops. They'll prescribe antibiotic eye drops for the 1st week as a preventative measure. Also I think Tylenol 1 or 2s which I took right after the surgery but don't really think I needed them. It was a sunny day for the 1hr drive home so I sat in the back seat with a jacket over my head. Sunglasses were not enough. I do think my eyes are a bit more sensitve to the sun and get dry at night - say after 8 or 9. I really only notice this when I'm reading. They'll give you a list of what you can't do for 2 weeks up to the surgery. I only remember that you can't wear contacts for thse 2 weeks. You won't be able to swim in a pool for about a month afterwards and no sweaty excercising for about 2 weeks afterwards. I waited about 1 week then just wore a sweat ban. I think they're worried about the sweat getting into your eyes. Since my eye sight was that bad to begin with I didn't experience a "miraculous" sensation that I CAN SEE afterwards but it sure is nice not having to pack contacts & glasses etc.. Either at the consult or the day of the surgery they will show you a couple videos and run some tests and I found really warn you that this is still surgery. Almost made me back out! I've heard that some give valium, mine didn't and I didn't feel I needed it. If you're at all squeemish - don't watch any youtube videos of the surgery until after you have it done! Let me know if you have any more Q.

Laurie - might just channel JM tonight - if I can stand looking at her hip bones! Don't you find that annoying?

Thanks for all the info on the eye surgery Patricia, it was very helpful! I'm not squeamish at all as I work in an area with lots of terrible wounds but I still think I won't watch the video till after the surgery. The no working out thing will drive me crazy I'll have to schedule it for a rest week.:p

So this summer will be your big move! Back to Toronto??

Did you do a run this morning Laurie? Are you getting this nicer weather now?

Yesterday DH and I did disc 6, I'm finding the legs in mesocycle #1 so hard!! DH had to take a few breaks and was making a few remarks to the tv.

My CCC came yesterday!!! So I'm going to do that today. It looks like a harder workout, I'm going to appreciate my rest day tomorrow!

Morning Coolers,

This morning was NMTZ. :D

Patricia, Good luck with the agent! LOL! Jillian pulling up her pants bothers me more than the low cut of her drawers. :D But I think that she really should concider wearing pants that don't fall down all the time. I think in every DVD I have she pulls up her pants. She puts out effective workouts, so I just start to ignore those things. :D

Kim, Good luck with the surgery, just wish I could get that done. :( No I didn't get my run in, had to stop at the pet store last night to get food for Cami. After I lugged in that 40lb bag I just wanted to wait for DH to get home. :D It sure is nice to have him back.

DH and I are planning a weekend in California, with the girls. The southern Ren Faire starts the same weekend that DH is going to be in Vegas.

Have a great day!

Afternoon Coolers

No w/o for me last night. The Real Estate agent stayed too late. We're going to interview one or two more before we decide who to go with.

Kim - Yep, this is the year of the move. Your guess is as good as mine as we have not been told when to be back in T.O. I think the powers that be don't know as we're a bit slow right now. So we're just keeping our head down and not making any waves:D

Laurie - I sooo want to get to California sometime in my life. DH wanted to buy we the San Diego RD but I thought the time change for a weekend would just kill me. Plus if I went that far, I'm going for more than 2 days! I guess it's not too far of a drive from LV to CA?

Oh, a trip, I love travelling! When are you going Laurie??? What are you going to do, I need more details.

I did CCC, that was a hard workout. I think my legs were really tired from disc 6 so that didn't help. I liked this workout although I couldn't really do a couple of the moves:eek: I think you did this one already, Patricia?
