~~~~Coolers in February~~~~
How are you liking the floors Patricia??
Yesterday was a very short easy day in the courtroom. They dismissed us just before noon. Most of the jurors decided to go have lunch together.:confused: As they were encouraging me to go, I'm thinking are you crazy! They're very nice people and good to work with but we spend way,way too much time together. I went shopping! I went and did some fun house shopping, some decorative vases, night stand for dd etc.
By the time I got home, dd was still at school so I had full access to her room;);) She kept insisting that she would unpack the 6 boxes/2 suitcases in her room:rolleyes: but nothing had been touched since we moved in. So I unpack/organzied everything. She came home from school and was thrilled and spent the evening playing with all her unpacked toys:rolleyes: It was the first day that I actually felt I had the energy/time to really enjoy the new house and it was fun!
Hey Lauire, how did your dd's college visit go last weekend? Has she decided what she is doing next year?
Morning Coolers,
This morning was 4DS Kickboxing in it's entirety. I'm so happy that it is Friday! :D
Patricia, Tasteless is right! ;) It was the way it felt in my mouth. Blah!
Kim, Sounds like you had a good day. Isn't that funny how the kids love an organized room. LOL DD's college visit went really well, and she loved the campus. They indicated that she is probably going to be accepted with what her current grades where for this last term.
Have a great day!
Good morning! It's a beautiful sunny Sunday morning and I have a free schedule:D I might even try out my new workout area;) DH is going to try and get some of the curtains/pictures hung up.
My family came over for the evening last night. It was a nice evening but I have some cleaning to do today after my little nephews were over.
I posted some pictures of the new house and one picture of the old house to show the amount of snow we have!
I tried out my new workout space! I did the Viper workout from the Terminator dvd. It felt good to workout again and the space worked fine!
Happy Valentine's Day!
We are having some great weather this weekend! Saturday I did 30/30 and Sunday was Bob Harpers Yoga for the Warrior along with the ab routine that is on there. This morning was Disc 20 Legs.
Kim, Our snow was melting this weekend, and that was a lovely sound. :D Of course this warm spell isn't suppose to last that long, but we will sure enjoy it while it lasts. Oh how nice to be able to use your new workout space. The pics look great.
Have a wonderful day!
Morning Coolers
Busy, busy weekend with Trim going on the walls again this weekend. I think painters come on Wed. or Thursday. We won't be entirely ready for them but the biggest area will be. We're having a Daytona party on Sunday so the big push is on to get as much done.
I started up M2 on Saturday, so Ch/Tri/Sh and on Sun. day KickMax - the low impact pre-mix minus leg drills. Legs are tonight (if we don't end up doing anything special for Valentine's Day):D
Kim - saw your pics. It looks so organized already! Love the open concept and lots of light coming through.
Laurie - we're getting mild here so hopefully we will see some loss of snow. It was SOOO cold last week. I notice the weather more now that I'm standing outside waiting for trains & street cars:( I'm really enjoying M2 (yes, I just started it) More breaks and not so much weight changes.
Morning Coolers
DH surprised me with roses last night along with a g.c. for Mani/Pedi:D I got him a couple hershey kisses:). I did Disc 14 - legs last night.
Did you see the Road Trips are up now? Not going to the Glassboro one this year as its during DH's 40th and we're trying to plan a trip around that as it is. Still trying to figure out if we can do the Disney one though.
Morning Coolers,
Disc 36 Shoulders, Biceps & Triceps this morning.
Patricia, That was very nice of your DH to give you those nice presents. I just had some crabby children. :eek: I like the breaks in M2 also, seems the M1 workouts I have to pause the player to change my weights.
Have a great day!
Frustrating! Both yesterday and today I got ready, drove downtown, went through security, sat in the jury room for 1/2 hour and then we were dismissed for the day. I'm so anxious to get this thing done. Hopefully tomorrow we will hear closing statments, judge's address and then head into deliberations. We're taking suitcases with us tomorrow in case we do start deliberations so I may be MIA for awhile.
So much free time on my hands! Yesterday I went and rented a clarinet for dd as she's starting band then met DH for a Valentine's lunch. Later in the day we had workmen out from the builders as they were to finish some carpentry work in the downstairs bathroom and they discovered water!! They're not sure we're it's coming from but it's under the vanity and the wood on the vanity is already all warped! They're going to have to remove it, have a plumber in and then replace the vanity.
At the moment, there is another carpenter here that I didn't even know was coming, it's a good thing I had finished my workout already! He's finishing some trim work around the basement windows.
Just finished with Circuit Blast and the standing legs bonus off Lower Leg Blast.
SOunds like everyone is getting some milder weather! It's above zero here today!
I saw the road trip signups. I've decided against the Disney trip. We're going with extended family on a big Disney trip during the winter. I have a subscription to a website that I use when I help planning Disney trips and they have a statistician that takes all the info available (eg. conferences, hotel availiabilty etc) to predict how busy the Disney parks will be each day on a scale of 1-10. The parks that weekend are rated 10 out of 10. I usually plan our trips so we go when it's less than 4. The Disney parks will be super busy, probably will be super hot, and expensive time to travel as it's holiday season. I just don't see that it's worth it in the end.
Evening Coolers
Got home and DH had a brown bag dinner for me and DS dressed and at the door to take to swimming lessons. Didn't even get out of the car:) Tidied up around the house and just got my w/o done - Athletic Step. It's growing on me that one - tricky steps and not too hard on the heart:D
Boy, did I ever feel my legs today though. Walking around the job site, in heavy construction boots. Got in some good stretching tonight.
Kim - yuck on packing a bag. Hopefully it will be over soon and I guess it was opportune you had time to deal with house issues. Is the leak near an outside wall? Hopefully nothing coming in from outside. DH really doesn't want to go to Florida in the summer. He hates the heat so most likely I'll pass up on the RT this year. I'm not sure if I could swing the Chicago one as it's during year-end and they don't like to give us time off during that period.
Laurie - since you're doing some M3 w/os - are you using a spotter? I'm trying to figure out how to get DH to stay close by when I get to M3. Before he was just in the next room. Now he will either be down the hall on 2 floors below me during my workouts.
Morning Coolers,
Chest & Back for me this morning. All done with the prep work for my crown, so now I have a temp plastic tooth.
Kim, Oh how frustrating, especially when you want the whole thing done! That is nice that you are able to get some things on your to-do list done. Dang on the bathroom vanity, and the leak. Good that they are taking care of it though.
Patricia, WTG on the workout. That was very sweet of your DH to do that for you. No I am not using a spotter, I am not going as heavy as I probably could for those chest exercises. :( Hope those legs of yours start to feel normal. :eek:
Have a great day!
Morning Ladies,
This morning was Insanity Max Cardio Conditioning. Nothing else to speak of today, so will end it with that. :D
Morning Coolers,
This morning was Tabata Inferno from the Supreme 90 workouts. I just loved this workout. :D Might have to check out some more Tabata workouts online, since this one was so great.
Have a wonderful day!
Morning Coolers
Just super busy both at work and at home. Down to the crunch for this Nascar party tomorrow. We really need another week to get the basement done but it will do. No w/o Thurs or Fri as working in the basement and running errands.
Today thought I did M2 - Disc 16 C/S/T. We're suppose to have company arriving any minute from up north but they're delayed due to a highway closure. Called my parents and they have been with out power since 4am. So not sure if company will get here or not, however, it gives us some breathing room to get more stuff done today.
Laurie - I've seen some thread titles for Supreme 90 but not sure what it's all about. Who instructs it? Glad to hear that you loved it though:p Tabatha seems to be getting popular.
Kim - hope things are going well with you on your end.
Morning Coolers,
Kim, So glad that you are done with this trial. Sending you all the emotional support that I can, it can't be easy to have gone through all that you did. ;)
Patricia, The Supreme 90 workouts are instructed by Tom Holland. I'm actually wanting to just start a rotation with these workouts. :D I was very happy with the results of the Daytona 500, even though my driver got taken out in the biggest wreck. What a great kid that Trevor Bayne is.
This morning was Disc 22 Chest, Shoulders & Triceps. Saturday was Bodystrikes and Ultimate Ball from the Supreme 90 set. I liked this one too. Sunday was my rest day.
Have a great day!
Afternoon Coolers
So glad that the trial is over and hopefully you're taking the weekend to rest and regroup.
I'm soaking my feet here so figure a good time to get caught up. I've hardly had a moment to spare the whole weekend.
The Nascar party was a sucess even though my driver (#33) finished about the 19th. Jeff Gordon a poor 29th! It was nice to see a nice young driver win. Our friend Roy is pretty intense and when there was only about I guess laps to go he predicted there would be a crash and sure enough I think there were 2:p His 6yr old son won the pool! A whole $100!
Party started at noon and I didn't get to be until after 1. DH is astonished I drank a whole bottle of wine but I don't think its that bad over a period of 8hours:p I stopped drinking by 8 or so!
I'll take some pics and post when I can. The basement is about 80% finished and we will just whittle away at it when we can. Furniture was being moved down there 1/2hr b/4 the party, that's how tight it was!
Just finished Disc 17 - legs - Have to get some cardio in this week as I haven't done much lately.
Off to finish my pedicure.
I have to admit I was a bit of an emotional wreck earlier this weekend but now feeling almost back to normal. I got home really late Friday night and could not sleep (we announce the verdict at 9pm) so I still was really emotional on Saturday and overtired from lack of sleep. Didn't sleep well the 2 nights at the hotel either. It was difficult after being so focused on the trial during deliberations to come home and just stop thinking about it. I guess as soon as we were sequestered the media was allowed to lift the publication ban on a lot of background information so I felt the need to read it all and of course the newspaper had been doing a live twitter from the courthouse, the family a blog and I felt a need to read all of it. It took me a couple of days to distance myself from it all.
I felt the need to relive the night the verdict was read over and over in my head. The courtroom was standing room only even though it 9pm on a Friday off a long weekend. Even with that number of people it was so quiet that you could of heard a pin drop, I stared straight at the judge as I knew I would be overcome by emotions if I did. I was shaking like a leaf. I snuck one look at the gallery as I left and saw some with smiles and some with tears.
I heard on yesterday's news that the defence lawyer is already decided to appeal the verdict.
The other 11 jurors were amazing people and although we had some intense moments we left there as friends. We plan to get together for drinks one day soon.
Anyways I'm on holidays this week as it's the week I was supposed to have off for moving. I still had this week and another week to use before end of April so I might as well use it up. Since I see outpatients and they weren't expecting me back till next week I have no patients booked so works well and the housing company needed to do a few appointments to finish up some stuff. Might be a bit lonely with everyone at school/work but I have a few projects that will be nice to get done.
I'm thinking of doing CTX series this week and then looking at the March rotation next week. I was talking about what workouts to do this week last night and ds said "welcome back mom" He said I finally seemed back to normal.
Yesterday we had DH's family over for lunch and visit. It was nice to showoff the house and have some family time. My family and friends have been so supportive with the trial going on.
The party sounds like fun Patricia! I think a bottle of wine in that time period is just fine! Your trip must be coming up soon? That's great that you were able to get the basement finish in time to use it! How are you finding the commuting?
Thanks for the support Laurie! I'll sure be happy to be back to work next week and into a regular routine.
Morning Coolers,
Disc 23 Legs for me this morning. Legs feel toasty still. :D
Patricia, I love having those Nascar parties. We where not home for this race, and I blame my DH for this mistake. He isn't going to hear the end of this for a while. :eek: 80% finished on the basement is so great.
Kim, Funny how we can actually look forward to routine. I'm sure you are enjoying your new house at this time also. ;) Have you gotten everything organized? Or is that what you will be doing this week that you have off?
Have a great day!
