cool down

what is everyones cool down process like? and routine? I'm starting to take 20 minutes after the workout to just walk around slowly-sipping water then hop in the shower, grab a slice of wheat toast,vitamins and off to work.
 
Since I workout after work, I generally, finish cooking if I have to, sit and play with the computer etc until I am really cooled off, so I don't sweat after my shower. Then shower and eat. Sometimes I eat, then shower.
 
Like you I take about 20 minutes post workout to really let my body calm down. I feel like a million bucks when I'm done but usually look like I've been hit by a truck, I sweat buckets and get quite red in the face depending on what I'm doing. When I teach classes I tell my participants not to worry that I'm going to blow a gasket, it's just the way my body responds. My workouts are mostly VHS so I rewind and put all of my 'toys' (step/weights/balls..) away and then grab a quick snack (fruit or homemade muffin) and enjoy another tall glass of water. I like having my snack when I can feel my metabolism is still in high gear. My cool down is very much part of the ritual but boy oh!! if I've got to go out I can be out of the shower and dressed in that 20 minutes.
Oh yeah, sometimes I jump on line after a workout and see what's up with my fellow Catheites, like I did right now :D

I walk about, I'm never ready to stretch when Cathe is. She plays on, I ignore her, and because I work out in the late afternoon, I then start tidying up the table that has been deluged with mail, kids folders from school, homework, letters from teachers to read. Then I start cooking their dinner, and give the girls a deadline for dinner. Then if all that is in hand, then I rewind Cathe, stretch with her and add my own stretches, then shower after that. I like to just lie on the floor sometimes too and just listen to the sounds coming from the open dors and windows, trying to think of nothing at all, which is tough! I usually last aabout aminute of this, which is why I can never do yoga or stretch tapes. Can't do nothng for very long and the shower with all the different smells and body/face washes is also vvery relaxing, plus I usually have Prince or something booming at me while I shower which I love!

So "cooldown" is a mixture of the physical, the emotional, and the domestic!
