What? Where's the early bird, Lori? Don't tell me she's still SLEEPING!?!?! :p

I have no child this morning and STILL was up by 7am! What's up with that!? :rolleyes: Well I ended up opting out of the pocketbook party last night. I just wasn't in the mood for it. Instead, I stopped off on the way home from my MIL's and picked up my best male friend and we went out for dinner. We don't get to hang out/talk as much as we used to so it was a long over due hang out for us. Hopefully we can do it again after the holidays in January. :) We went to Chili's for dinner though. Not good. Now tonight I am going to my MIL's for dinner. Not good AGAIN! :confused: :eek:

Today's work out is X Legs and Back and if I have the time and energy I made add on a short cardio to help with the damage control! ;)

So PCC nearly killed me y'day! I swear the first circuit keeps getting easier while the second one keeps getting HARDER! WTH!?!?!?! :confused::eek::mad::rolleyes::eek:

Guess that's all for now...Breakfast is calling my name! Waffles! YUMMY! :D

Good Morning!:)

Two late nights in a row:eek: I don't know if I have ever done that before! You will always beat me to the punch MISS WENDY if Im not working:D We didn't get home on fri night until 4'ish. Wasn't to bad b/c for some reason I wasn't sleepy and then DH let me sleep in until 9:30. Actually, he probably would have let me sleep in later, it was DS who came into the room and started hauling me out of bed. Then last night I was up until 3:30 'ish but DS slept at his grandparents house and I got to sleep in until after 11!:eek: I was suprised b/c I thought for sure I would wake up early and not take advantage of what was going on. DS is gone to a christmas party now (our friend who has no kids signed him up for it) so I have a couple more hours of quiet before he blows in. I think I will take advantage of this and get my workout done!

So get a load of this one! I ran 30 kms yesterday! Thats the furthest I have ever ran. My friend who is training for a marathon wanted me to tag along b/c she finds it boring...like you would! She was suppose to do 32 kms and when I told DH he said "you can't run 32 kms" of course that kind of set the devil in me:) I wasn't going to do it b/c I really didnt have time for that yesterday but it wasn't that bad b/c our pace was alot slower. When we got to the 22 kms mark I thought...:" I only have 10 kms left to go...I can do this" So I did! My calorie burn was 1813! And it took us about 2:40 mins to do it. I am not sure what todays workout will be! If I didn't get so much sleep I would have taken a rest day, but i think I would like to do the GS. Scale was still 120.9 today...Im guessing even though I ate and drank, that run may have had something to do with it!

Wendy** So you didn't go to the party b/c of a BOY? Interesting!:eek: I think (actually) I know that I am in the best shape of my life but my body probably isn't better then it was when I was 16, before babies;) Thats when the stretch marks and saggy boobs come in! Three of us were having this conversation last night and one of the girls is really funny. She said "yeah, when you get older you ask for shorter boobs not bigger boobs!" LOL Socks with rocks, we call um!:D hahaha!

Diana** I don't think I will be going on and RT's unless I win the lottery! Its to expensive from here. It would probably cost me well over $2000 just for airfare and hotel. Of course, in a perfect life I would be the first one signed up! hehe! Is your back better today?

Jacque** Glad to hear your arm is getting better!!! Don't even get me started on "projects". My boss asked for another one of his stupid FAVOURS the other day. Thats the word he uses. A favour is something you do, and then get something in return isn't it? He only does payroll at the end of the month, but during that month, we can get as many advances as we want. I asked for one on Fri and didn't get it. He is the worst. So take your favours...and stick um. Nontheless, I still have to do it:eek: He wants me to go through EVERY CUSTOMER file from the last 3 YEARS!!! and wants it all done by the end of the month! I really don't know if there is enough time in the run of a day. Im guess I will have to tackle so many letters a day. I have been trying to wrap my head around how to do this the easiest way possible:confused:

O.k...Im gonna get my butt mov'in. Need to get a bite to eat and there are some dishes from last night that need to be done, then I think I will tackle the GS's UB!

Hi Ladies,

My back is still hurting! I may have to go to the Dr. if it doesn't start feeling better soon. Usually these types of injuries go away in a few days. I would love to do upper body wts today but I'm not sure about bending down to pick up the weights. Cardio may be a better choice. I enjoyed Shaun yesterday (except for a few moves) so may think about doing an insanity w/o.

I bought new phones at costco yesterday and they are all charged up this morning. The display for the Caller ID was basically gone and had been for quite a while. We have been contemplating getting rid of our land line but just haven't gotten there yet. We would have to be much more responsible with our cell phones, checking for missed calls, answering messages in a timely manner...etc. I'm terrible because my cell phone is usually in my purse, in an overhead cabinet at work. I'm in a lot of meeting so the whole day could go by and I wouldn't know I missed a call or had a message.

It is snowing...again. We are supposed to get 4-8 inches through tonight. It doesn't look too bad out there now. I'm sure the drive to work tomorrow will definitely suck.

Wendy-It sounds like Insanity/P90X is working out well for you. I was actually considering writing up a rotation through the end of the month...until I hurt my back. I'm still planning on doing another STS rotation starting in January.

Lori-I did the conversion (us u.s. folks need miles:) ) and it came out to just over 18 miles. Way to go!!!!! So you had a busy couple of days....today you relax a bit.

Glad to see I wasn't left to talk to myself this morning! :p Well my work out is done. I didn't do X L&B after all. I still worked legs and back but did this instead using BBC Butt & Legs and my pull up bar:

w/u
lunges
reverse grip chin ups
reverse lunges
close grip pull ups
squats
wide grip pull ups
plie squats
switch grip pull ups
dead lifts
reverse grip chin ups
calf raises
wide grip pull ups
lunges,reverse lunges,squats, plie squats, dead lifts all again
inner thigh leg lifts
power squat & jack combo
cool down/stretch

It took about 55 minutes from start to finish. My back shouldl be fine but my legs might be talkin' to me tmrw! ;) My original plan was to do B&L cardio as well but I opted to repeat the standing leg work instead. My heart rate was up for most of the work out anyway and the power squat & jack combo was a nice little touch of cardio effort at the end. :)

Tmrw is Pure Cardio/Cardio Abs or a rest day depending on my mood. :p

Lori:: Nah, I blew off the pocket book party cause I just didn't feel like goin'. Hanging with my friend was a plan that was made after the fact. Yeah, child birth is not kind to a woman's body but I seriously think I look better now (since I lost the weight after delivery my son!) then ever before in my life! I was thin in high school but that was it. No muscle tone or anything. The absolute BEST was after my original round of the X I think. My body fat was as at it's lowest then.

Diana:: So sorry your back is still hurting you. Yeah, get to the doc if it doesn't subside soon. How did you hurt it? Do you know? Yeah, for the most part I am enjoying the Insanity/X rotation I am doing. Having it be holiday time means it will be hard to judge how well it worked for me but I can just do it again at some point to find that out! :p I am starting to "flirt" with the idea of purchasing STS now...Anything you'd like to say that might help me decide?? :D

Wendy-your workout looked great today! Yeah, I know how I hurt my back. It was on Thurs, during my workout I reached down to get a drink of water...and hurt/pulled something. It didn't hurt too bad at the time but has progressively gotten worse. Each of the STS discs is a different workout. The first meso, the exercises are similar...but in a different order and with some new exercises thrown in..in each disc. Meso one is more endurance in nature. Meso 2 (my favorite) is more traditional weight training. Meso 3, (strength) was amazing for me. You add more weight (.5lbs and up) to your previous effort and will see the strength gains. At the end, I was doing barbell curls with a 52+ # barbell. Also, STS has 3 plyo leg discs that are pretty awesome IMO. You do 1 set of standing leg work such as alternating front lunges, rear lunges, squat etc, then you do one set of plyo legs using the step w/4 risers on each side..ala bbc. Jumping up on the step, alternating jumps etc. Unlike P90X, STS meso 3 will have you increasing your weight and decreasing your reps and you will definitely see an increase in strength. To get the best out of STS you really should do the 1RM test. It takes a long time and I know others who skipped this part. I did it and am glad I did. Also, I highly recommend you print out the worksheets so you can keep track of each exercise and the weight used. It may seem like a lot, but it's so worth it to see your gains on paper. How is that for enabling???;)
