computer monitor question--any techs out there?

hello--- looked at screen today and has numbers that won't go away (resolution ?) they say 1024 x 768/60hz...i restarted my computer and they are still there... i can navigate the net but still see the numbers ,,ideas please?

It sounds like they may be part of the display for the monitor itself. Somewhere on the monitor should be a menu button, with + and - buttons (or arrow buttons) to navigate the menu. Try playing around with it and see if you can turn off that display. Sorry I can't be more specific than that...most of these menus work a little differently.

LCD or tube?
Try toggling the power on the monitor itself

Windows?
Try control panel > Display> settings try changing the display settings and see if the monitor changes.

If you have the manula for the monitor or could go to the comapny's website and get the manual.

thank you--- played with plus and minus--- went away...yeah#!

that happened once before--wonder what causes that?

It's possible you bumped one of the buttons by accident. If I push the minus button on mine, contrast and brightness adjusters come up, if I push the plus it "auto-adjusts", whatever that is.
