I have 2 older computers and want to donate them to charity,but I need to wipe off the hard drive. Can anyone tell me how I might do this?

You can go to add/remove programs and erase them that way through the control panel. Thing really are not never erased, just scrambled...
I'm sure others will have better tips than mine!!

Well, there is a way to blow out the whole computer so that it is a blank page. I'll ask my hubby but I am not sure that I will know how to tell you. Have you looked it up online?

re-partition the drive with fdisk.

google will give you good instructions.

Hard drives are cheap, smash the drives with a sledge hammer, use them for rifle practice.

Good luck finding a non profit that will take them, there are a lot of used computers out there.
