Drill Max is done! I still have to go down on my knees for those crazy push ups at the end. . . and in the middle, and well, after the first set, lol.
What a crazy freakin' day! My building still does not have power. After the initial morning meetings, I really had to go to the ladies' room. I drank a ton of coffee, lol. Anyway, I had to wait for the teacher in the bathroom to come out. I asked her if she could see in there because there were no lights. She said it was dark, but she managed. I went in and it was PITCH BLACK. What does she have army night vision goggles or something? I had to get a flashlight, no joke, a FLASHLIGHT, from the main office to go to the bathroom. Then we had another set of meetings. 10:30 those meetings were over. I start to get my room in order when my principal walks by and announces that the faculty meeting has been moved up to 12 because we all have to leave the building by one so that LIPA can HOPEFULLY restore power. So I had a little over an hour to unpack my things, set up my desk, bulletin boards and posters, and then get to yet another meeting. Because the power is still out I have to go to Staples to make photocopies for my first day handouts, which is more money out of my pocket. Back to school is getting really expensive for me now. I usually average $200 on supplies that I get for my room, but now I have my own child's supplies and clothes to buy too. Anyway.. .if we do not have power on Tuesday, the first day of school will be delayed. INSANITY!!!
Despite the stress and feeling just unprepared with all this nonsense. . . I have to say I am in a good mood. I have been laughing about peeing with a flashlight all day to myself. What a way to start the year!
Belinda- I guess you can tell how my day was by reading the above, lol. I am still excited for the first day though

Banks taking their sweet-ass time. What a surprise!

Deb- the video made me want to go back too! Just a little less than 11 months to go,
Trish- if I could have put coffee in an IV, I would have, lol. Too cute about DD being a big buddy. Nikolas loved his last year! At the end of the year his big buddy gave him a card. It was so sweet.
Okay, I am going to chill out for the rest of the night.
Hello to Melissa, Iris, Amelia, Lori, Cookie, and Helene, Jessica, Alesia, and Cosmo's mom!
