Sorry I didn't make it back here yesterday! Im going to read yesterdays thread and catch up on what I missed.

Yesterdays workout ended up being a run by myself and b/c I was by myself I decided to run some hills. There is a hill near by but we don't run it b/c its not in our route, nor is it a "road" hill. I have only ever ran the hill once and I think I forgot how hard it actually was. It is a very steep hill and its more then one hill. The hill is probably 1 km in length and i think going down was worse then going up. When I got back I did my last STS workout. Im kinda glad thats over with now I am going to start with the GS series. I miss those workouts.

Todays workout is going to be another run with my running partner. We are suppose to be doing 18 kms but she as a bad back and it only acts up when she runs. Hopefully everything will be o.k. She already went to the dr last week. I was going to tell her about my friend "belinda";) but then I thought I might have to explain how I know her! LOL

Belinda** sorry to say but that HRM might be right:confused: I wore mine one time during HST and I only burned 200 and something cals. I was sooo mad. The only time I had a good calorie burn was when I would run 15 kms. My knee was good yesterday, no probs. I ran on the other side of the rd and all was good.

Ameila** Thats awesome about the weightloss! So last week was your first week of calorie staggering?? Keep up the good workout! Imagine in like 6 weeks or so you may have 20 lbs gone:eek: To bad you couldn't do the race yesterday!

Helene** Don't have to tell me about crying kids!:confused: I didn't find disney to bad. We went in April month and I only gained 2 lbs the whole time we were gone and we were gone for 10 days. If you aren't eating to badly, you will walk off your little treat anyway.

Deb** Ohhhh:eek::eek::eek: Thats a long time to be with one person!! Are you sick of him yet?? LOL I bet you had a good night with friends.

(I hate this computer...keeps hopping everywhere!)

Cookie** Good job with the workout yesterday. My race isn't until the 18th of Oct so I have a little bit of time yet.

Trish** Another weightloss girl! Thats awesome!!! What are your plans for the day?

O.k should motor before I beat up with computer and I need to get some oatmeal in me before I head out for a run!

Morning girls! Rotation calls for 40min UB workout...but i don't feel like lifting today:( yesterday's visit to the zoo really wiped me out:confused: I think i will do CCV4 on the treamill and do the weight WO tomorrow. Gotta do what makes you happy...right?;)

Lori-Great job with your running girl! I think this is the first time staggering cals at my BMR(1600) when i was doing myfitnesspal i was eating my BMR + cals burned...wasn't working. I think i will be ok as long as i don't go insane with my workouts...keep them around 45-60mins. What kind of oatmeal do you eat? I know i shouldn't eat the instant stuff but i just can't stand the taste of the slow cooked kind. Lately ive been buying quaker's 'Weight Control' and its soooooo delish.

Belinda-Enjoy your visit to the gym...what did you end up doing?

Good Morning Ladies

Well as it turns out, the chemo finally hit and hit pretty hard, but now she is starting to feel better and I think she's back on the upswing. Still no nausea, though, which we are all very happy about.

I was up real late last night, so I will save my run/KM leg drills for tonight when I get home. Yesterday did Cardio and Weights, and damn I sweat!! Was it just me or was it humid yesterday morning??????

Belinda- So sorry to hear about your back. :( I am so hoping everything goes back to normal for you soon! It does sound like you are taking this like a champ, though. You have such great spirit.

Amelia- Congrats on your weightloss. I"m sorry you missed the race, but I'm sure their will be other ones!! And yes.....do what you makes you happy ;)

Cookie- No dancing on Friday....I haven't been in weeks....I"m trying to cut back on spending (and drinking)....almost a month sober now...LOL I hope things calm down for you soon, and you won't feel so tired. You've definitely had a full plate lately!! That's awesome that they're honeymoon (or part of it) is in Holland. I was their when I was 18 and would love to go back!

Trish- Great job on your spin class!! That's awesome.... And that's good that your MIL won't be having chemo (even though radiation is no picnic either!)

Helene- Did you go to yoga in Saratoga today??? Where do they offer that? LOL @ "the whole 20 minutes". Have you ever been to it? This weekend I worked, and spent time with my family....today I have a concert at the Pruyn house on Old Niskayuna Rd. ( I play with the Colonie Brass Choir), and then go visit mom and come home and get my workout in!!

Iris-I continue to keep your mom in my thoughts...im glad there isn't any nausea yet!! Im sending you both hugs and positve vibes!

I decided to stay with my rotation and do PUB...my UB is fried:confused: i added in some late pull downs using my band and the pull-up bar. It was a good wokrout. Now off to get some groceries...have a good day :)
 
Hi girls,

We had a busy day today, I never made it on time to the gym (they closed when we got here) I was pissed! It’s was so cold outside, I didn’t feel like waking in the cold. So today is gonna be a rest day. I will go to the gym tomorrow, I have a few option on low impact cardio I can do. I can do the bike, walk, elliptical or I can use the TreadClimber. They all low impact. I was wondering (my mind is going,lol) if I can use the tubing/band instead of weights? Actually I wouldn’t be lifting, right? So I am not going against the doctor’s orders, right! I am just trying to find ways, I still can stay active.

I will be back with personals!

How quickly the weekends pass!

Belinda: I hadn't through of the tubing, but I bet that is a good idea. When do you see a physical therapist that you can run all this by? I think that anything that would put compression on the spine would be out, but I think tubing excercises don't do that in general. Sorry that the gym was closed already. Are you going to try to go again tomorrow?

Amelia: Nice UB workout. And I bet you got a good move at the zoo! We don't have a good one close by which is too bad because I always enjoy them and the kids too.

Lori: A 1km hill sounds painful. Will you be doing that again? I remember doing a mountain half marathon when I was younger (like 15 years ago LOL) and the end of the race was down this really steep street. It was awful on the knees at the end like that. Way to go on your workouts! Man that computer doesn't sound like fun that's for sure.

Iris: I'm sorry to hear that your mom is starting to feel the effects like this. I will keep her in my thoughts as well! I hope that she never gets the nausea part. I never did drive "the whole 20 minutes" today. I'll give it a try next Sunday. It's at Saratoga Springs yoga on Phila street at 11am on Sundays. It's a new class but I have taken classes with this teacher at another studio for a couple of years and I really enjoy them. They are a good workout and they move. It's vinyasa style yoga. He's a Jivamukti teacher which means you'll get the Jivamukti invocation at the begin and he usually weaves in the non harming (they are devout vegans usually) theme. It's a great class set to music and he's a dynamic teacher. If you already know yoga, you would enjoy it. Cardio and Weights is deceptive, it always looks easier and I always sweat buckets too. Nice workouts. It's probably good to help you relieve some stress as well. I have never been to Pryun house. Do you play an instrument or sing? You are involved in a lot of things. You really are going to deserve that Daytona vacation!

Hi to Trish, Cookie and Deb.

I got Jillian Michaels burn fat boost your metabolism from Netflix and previewed it this morning. I liked it so I ended up doing the workout and go a nice cal burn (~420). I enjoyed it and it required little choreography which is nice for a chane. Then I did STS disc 11 which I had skipped this week. I also got YogaFit: total core control from Netflix which I previewed (was it Cookie the enabler on that one?!). It looks interesting and I think I will give it a try. I don't have the ball but a 2lb dumbell will likely do the trick.
So Wolverine is in my living room (DH just came back with the halloween outfits and that's what DS chose). Then we are going to go to the pool at the Y because DS wants to go there instead of Six Flags (I'm not complaining since it's a lot closer 5 minutes versus 40).

Hi all! I'm back for a bit, I'm down at my parents and my aunt is visiting, so I snuck off to the computer! Mom is better today :) Still pain in her bones, but no exhaustion or nausea.

Amelia- great workout! I love PUB! And thank you for the positive vibes....you have no idea how much it's appreciated! (From everyone as well!)

Helene- If you really get spunky one of these sunday's I might just join you in Saratoga ;) I've really been into yoga lately (not that I know much about the different styles or anything), but that's the wonderful thing about it is that you don't HAVE to in order to be able to do it, you can just learn as you go. The Pruyn house is really nice! I've never been either until today. I play french horn ( i have a degree in music), and I havent' played in a few years now, so I decided to get back into it, one of the few things that really made me truly happy. It was a wonderful afternoon! I know I'm involved in a lot of things, but I'm single, not seeing anyone, no kids, one job, so I'm taking all the opportunites that I can! The next time I meet a guy, I'll have to pencil him in my planner!! lol

Back home now....just finished my workout...couch to 5k run, and then KM leg drills.....I'm glad I made myself get it in!:D
