Good morning'

Today I will take a walk and try to do some abs on the ball!

Thanks for all the kind words yesterday:D You girls rock! I know one thing, I have to keep my eats under control:rolleyes: I don't want to gain all that weight back that I have lost. Yesterday I really thought the doc. would tell me, get off your lazy butt and do what you have been doing. I already charged my ipod, I miss my CC's. My plan is to get back to normal soon.;)
I alos decited to get a 2nd opinion next week.

I will catch up later with personals, have nothing else to do:(

Good Morning Girls!

I am up earlier then I would like to be:confused: DS didn't go to bed until late but still woke up his normal time. Its a good thing I went to bed shortly after he did.

Today I was suppose to go for a long run with my running partner but Im not so sure I will. My knee was kinda acting up yesterday and during the longer runs is when it starts to feel weak. I should (by rights) take a rest day today and then go for a long one tomorrow. But we are have plans for tonight and I have a feeling I won't want to run very far tomorrow;)

Belinda** Not a swan hey? Well, thats to bad! LOL Keeping your eating under control is always hard when your not working out. When I am bored I roam around and look in the fridge. Just don't bring any bad stuff in your house and you should be o.k!

I will bbl!

Lori:)

'Morning!
Belinda, sorry to hear about your back. You must be so frustrated, especially since you've worked so hard. Does the gym have a aqua aerobics class? Generally, they are low impact and are fun. Believe it or not, I used to teach it years and years ago, and it was also good for muscle conditioning. BTW, I am not a swimmer either!
Amelia, did you go for the race? LOL at your sister and the wallet yesterday - are you sure we don't have relatives in common? MM is such a good wo.
Iris, so glad to hear you're booked with an oceanfront room. Now, I can't wait to hear about the trip and upcoming filming with you. Hope it is what you want it to be. Relieved to hear your Mom is handling chemo well. She's so fortunate to have you for a daughter. Did you go dancing last night?
Trish, today's your Y day. I play driver today for my DD, so I'll be thinking of you. How's your shoulder doing lately? Mine is driving me crazy. I think some of the yoga moves aggravate it, but I enjoy them too much to stop. Borrowed a book from the library which had some yoga ideas on how to stretch it out - we'll see. Used to play racquetball and tennis a lot, plus was in a couple of car accidents so it is pretty worn.
Lori, guess I should be happy my DH is not at all musical! Males just love attention. Often think photocopiers and other electronics are male - stop working so someone can fuss over them. That's annoying about your Insanity shipping. When's the race again?
Deb, how are the boys? I keep thinking of our weekend and how much fun I had. Can we do another one? One of my colleagues is always trying to get me to Zumba but it is on a night I usually have mtgs. She loves it. Does it get your HR up?
Helene, sounds like you have all or most of Cathe's dvds? Do you? Decided not to do RS on Thursday morning, but she called me to do KM - low impact timesaver. Don't think I ever did that premix or I don't remember it. Forgot it was only about 25 mins kicking and the rest was the leg drills. Good and just what I needed. Newlyweds went to United Kingdom and Netherlands. Lucky them. Hope I at least get a postcard.
Hope I didn't miss anyone.
Did Mark Blanchard's Power Yoga 1 on Thursday after work. Yesterday was LL, and think I'm going to try out KCM's new cardio. But then again if I don't get going, I'll run out of time. Lately I am so tired.

Morning girls..i decided to not do the race. TOM started yesterday morning and its really got me tuckered:( DH is home after not seeing himf or 5days...so im just not up to it.

But i do have GOOD NEWS....My WI was this morning:D Im down 4.2lbs since last sunday. Im sure its mostly water weight but im still so proud of myself, and the weightloss is so motivating. I wasn't really hungry this week either...and I thought i would be starving eating so little. I made sure i ate really healthy;)

Belinda-Why not listen to your CC's while walking? Or will that make you want to run? I can understand if it does...enjoy your walk and abb work!

Lori-Enjoy your run today!

Cookie-Let me know how you like KCM new cardio...ive heard alot of buzz about them(positve buzz). The Newlyweds trips sounds so romantic...always wanted to go to Europe, maybe one day:)

Well, today is a rest day. And its my higher calorie day...looking forward to that. Were suppose to take the kids to the zoo so i will be getting in alot of walking. Have a good day!

Morning Ladies,

Yesterday was kind of hectic so I had no chance to check in. I went to the gym and did a spin class yestserday. It was my first time and it was fun! I didn't get as drenched as I thought I would, but I wore my HRM and burned 408 cals in 45 mins (I got there 15 mins late). Thank goodness for CC because my poor co-worker was huffing and puffing and taking breaks from the beginning but I never needed one and my breathing was in check. The instructor couldn't believe it was my first time:rolleyes:

Belinda - So sorry to hear about your back. I felt EXACTLY the same way as you when I injured my shoulder and knees and was told lift nothing and and to do no cardio except walking. I wanted to cry. I KNEW I was going to gain back every last pound that I had lost, but, you know what, I didn't. I followed orders and after two weeks I was told I could do the elliptical and after about 6 weeks of PT I could begin to lift again. Hang in there, it will get better. During the whole time I may have gained back 5 lbs. Keep your eating in check as well as you can.

Amelia - Today is WI day for me as well. Fingers crossed that we both have good news from the scale ;) Also, MM ROCKS! The plie squats in this one are so tough! By the end my legs are like jello. What did you decide about the race? LOL about the wallet story story yesterday. Glad that it was returned.

Iris - Glad mom is handling chemo well. My MIL's doctor said no chemo but maybe radiation is needed. She has a follow up appt for next week for that.

Helene - Yup, now that I think about it...I have 3 gym memberships!! I bout a lifetime membership with Bally's 20 years ago and plus the Y. I guess my issue is with convenience...With this gym across the street from work, it's easy to get to. Just too hard for the others....or maybe it's the fact that this gym is only 5 months old and everything is sparkly:eek: I'm in the same boat as you with dropping the kiddies off. I have to make 3 'deliveries' before I park my car for the train each morning. RIDICULOUS! Enjoy your day!

Deb - Loved the first class at the gym. I'm hoping to try a weight class sometime next week. Hope the rain lets up today.

Lori - International shipping sucks! That is just too long to wait IMO. Hopefully, next week it will arrive instead of the 21st! How was KFC last night? Today is supposed to be a cheat day...hhhmmm....what's going to be? We'll see. Sounds like you better let that knee rest. Maybe you will feel up to a run tomorrow night.

Cookie - I have good days and bad days with my shoulder. All it takes is sleeping on it wrong and it's out of whack for the whole day. I find if I do my exercises I really don't have much trouble with it, but I'm too stubborn to do them twice a week:mad: I'd rather be doing Cathe! Nice wo's this week.

Well, today is a rest day, but there will be no rest for this mama! My activity marathon starts in about 1-1/2 hours and won't end until 4:30 this afternoon. Wish me luck!

BBL.

Amelia - The scale was very nice to you today:) Actually, it was all of your hard work and discipline! ^5! Just got on the scale and I'm down 1.4 lbs since last Saturday. Woohoo!! Have fun with the kiddies at the zoo.

Morning all,

I'm up with the kiddies and they are finally a little more quiet. Let's see if they give me a few minutes to complete this.

Belinda: It sounds like you are going to have to foccus on yourself quite a bit . Will all this time, you can track your food like a real pro if you weren't already. I do hope though that you can quickly recover.

Amelia: Oooh, I want your scale. WTG that's awesome! Mine has not budged which makes me very sad. But when I think about how I ate this week, I am actually VERY happy that it didn't budge. It always happens to me one week a month (...now there's a surprise) and it's always a good reminder of what I need to do. But I am in the same boat as you. I had lost a lot more weight. I was 10lbs from goal, now I'm 20 lbs from goal but feel a bit better because I am working out more. So I need to figure out the details and get away from this yearlong plateau.

Trish: 3 gym subscription!!!!! Now I really am impressed. That must have been some SHINY steel. And yes, work, kids, workout, eat well, keeping sane can be a hard balance to keep. I feel for you dropping kids off at 3 different places. I am hopping we'll have both at the same place sometime in October. That will be really nice for us. Well done on getting the scale to move.

Cookie: Enjoy your new cardio. Sounds like a nice honeymoon trip. They better send you at least a postcard! I might try the low impact KM timesaver today. I have to get disc 12 legs done, but I like to have a little bit of moving as well. This might be just what I need.

Deb: I see you are taking zumba often. I bet you are having a lot of fun doing that. I hope you have something good in store for the weekend.

Iris: What are you up to this weekend. I still haven't figured that part out. I might go to a yoga class in Saratoga tomorrow morning, but I am feeling lazy about driving there. LOL the whole 20 minutes.

Lori: I think maybe some lady at customs is trying out Insanity;)! But I would for sure check what you were charged for shipping. That's unbelievable. When did you actually put your order in?!

DH is up. I'm off to workout. Have a great day everyone. Did I mention yesterday turned out into another rest day ........

Helen

Good morning girls,

Big day for me today, we're going to Queens/Brooklyn, New York for a reunion with friends we grew up with since we were 12 yrs. old:). It's been 25 years since I have seen some of these people:eek: Alittle background my DH & I have been dating since I was 14 & he was 15yrs. old so they are both of our friends. One of my SIL's is organizing the get together. I'm very nervous this is like a HS reunion. My SIL told everyone I'm the only one who hasn't gained weight:mad: . . . I was only 95lbs. back then and have since put on 20lbs. No one will be calling me Little Debbie today:eek:

Trying to get a run in this morning:confused: There was a sub instructor for Zumba did not like yesterday's class.

Belinda - I think your smart for getting a 2nd opinion. I'm wouldn't worry about putting on weight, as long as you walk. When I had tubes tied I just walked and didn't put on weight, even though I stressed about it:).

Lori - Bummer about insanity, but your right you'll be busy training for the race. Is this the race you came in 1st place last time?

Cookie - Your probably still tired from the wedding festivities. I think you needed a honeymoon to recoup. I finally ordered a new mattress it comes next week.

Amelia - They'll be other races. Awesome job on the weight loss. Have fun at the zoo today.

Trish - LOL about your gyms. You choose which gym you want to go to like some people pick a DVD to do:p. I'm so glad you liked spin. The 1st time I did spin I was sore for a week.

Helene - Have fun with KM and the kiddies today:)

Have a great day everyone:)

Hi girls,

This morning I went for a long, slow walk (4 miles). I only burned 228 cal. WTH! Do you still think the HR is wrong? I am gonna cry. I also did Body Fusion Abs (had to modify a lot) the . I was wondering if I can do the UB in that one. No heavy lifting, she didn’t say I couldn’t use tubings/bands?

Iris, I am so happy to hear you mom is handling chemo ok! I am still keeping her in my thoughts and prayers! Make sure you get enough rest. Take it easy, ok! Woohoo, on getting an oceanfront room! You gonna be fine. Are you gonna share a room with someone?

Amelia, you always go to the next upcoming race! Enjoy your time with DH and rest day! WOO, Amelia! 4.2 down, you can do it! Great job with cardio x yesterday. If I use the elliptical, I still can’t do fast movements. The doc told me not to get crazy, because of my hip and spine!

Helene, I think my runs gonna be on hold for awhile! I miss my CC’s! Thanks for your advice! The gym doesn’t have ski machines, but they do have TreadClimbers! I wonna know if they low impact? I will find out. Oh, BTW! I am to afraid to swim! Glad you enjoyed IMAX1. Looks like you’re browsing
along with STS. Nice going. How did you like D12?

Debbie, that stinks having to go to work on your day off! Sorry you didn’t like Zumbo yesterday. Have fun at the reunion with friends. That’s great you still stay in touch! Do a CC for me, ok! Have fun with your run.

Trish, awesome job on the spin class and cal. burn yesterday. LOL, at your co worker. Thanks for your kind words! I am so afraid I will gain every pound back. I don’t want to think about, not able to do a run for weeks. The worst part is the eating, I eat junk when I am depressed. ^^^5’s on your weight loss, girl! Hope your shoulder feels better.

Cookie, Thanks for your kind words! Unfortunately we don’t have a aqua aerobics class here on post. Now I don’t feel bad about myself anymore. LOL! You are not a swimmer either! I also went to the library today to get some books on back problems. WTG, on your workouts this week. I hope at least they sent you a postcard.

Lori, you still don’t have insanity? You need to call them and find out if they charged you the full amount. Lori, if your knees hurt don’t run. I think your body is telling you to slow down. You don’t gonna end up like me, give your legs a brake Yeah, I am gonna try to keep my eats under control, last week I ate a box of chocolate. I was depressed!

I think I caught up with personals! I will try to be back later!

Amelia - The scale was very nice to you today:) Actually, it was all of your hard work and discipline! ^5! Just got on the scale and I'm down 1.4 lbs since last Saturday. Woohoo!! Have fun with the kiddies at the zoo.

WTG Trish!!! Thats great! I hope to get that much next week...

Debbie-so you only weigh 115lbs? Im sure you will still be referred to as little debbie:) Have a blast at the reunion...how exciting for you! And thats awesome that you and your dh have been together since you were 14/15...so cool.

Belinda-Yeah..after i suggested the elliptical i started thinking about the movement and i wouldn't try it either. 228 calories is great girl...

Helened-How much weight have you lost? I think i remember you telling me once:eek: Its been a while since ive buckled down on my eating and really tried hard to lose. Ive just had enough of the extra weight...

Hey to everyone

We made it back from the zoo! We had fun...it started getting hot so we left around 2ish. Im glad i packed my lunch..there wasn't anything healthy to eat at the resturaunt they had there!

Hey again,

Belinda: I liked Disk 12. The bonus I wasn't able to do all the way (hamstring rolls on the ball with one leg up, you'll have to excuse me but I don't have that kind of coordination/balance). The rest went well, but to tell you the truth, I can't wait for Meso 2 and a change of pace. I also read there are no pushups in Meso 2

Amelia: I kept my pregnancy weight for a good year and a half. Boy was I miserable. I wasn't working out very hard and I was going nowhere with the diet. Then my MIL got me to do a relatively low carb diet with her. I lost 40lbs on it in 6-8 months. But at the end, I really wanted to work out more and felt I needed to eat carbs (don't know if that's true or how many carbs you truly need when you workout a good amount). Now I am up ten from my lowest but still feel great. My goal is to be 130 at 5' 5" and don't forget 1/2" :D. So now I'm at 152-153 and that hasn't budged for months. But I am still working on being diligent with the eating. I'm having a blast working out in the meantime. It feels so nice. I love pushing myself and sweating buckets. I also love yoga, go figure....... Awesome that you took your lunch to the zoo. You've inspired me to be more careful and not give in.

Deb: Yeah, I would say that at 115 little Deb might still stick. That's awesome to have that kind of reunion. I think I'd like to go to one especially if I lose all the weight I still have ;). I got 20 years coming up next year. Have a great time. It's going to be a blast!

Well DD didn't take her nap. So guess who has been screaming for the past 30 minutes? She's quieted down now, but she was mad because we wouldn't give here ice cream (she didn't eat any of her veggies or meat). She still hasn't eaten, but at least now she's quiet :D

We ended up going to the YMCA and we signed up. It will be nice to go to the pool in the winter time. They also have a Basketball league that DS might be able to join. That should be fun for him.

Going on vacation to Disney in a couple weeks. I will use that as my rest week between Meso 1 and Meso 2. I am afraid of how to eat there though. Anybody got any good ideas? I'll be gone for 10 days and I am not even sure the hotel room has a fridge. It should be loads of fun, but I know I am going to stress about my eating........

Helene
