Hi and good morning,

I am getting the MRI results tomorrow:D hopefully it just confirms that all looks OK.I am going nuts:rolleyes:

Trish, TBS = Total Body Stretching! Glad you enjoyed your rest day Tuesday! What a surprise yesterday, you checking in early. Glad you enjoyed your workout.

Amelia, hope you enjoy Debbie’s rotations as much as I did! That girl knows what she is doing. Why are you cal. so cycled?
1600
1450
1600
1400 (I would be eating my foot, lol! That is way to low, my friend)
1550
1600
2000

Don’t take it the wrong way, but I think you are too strict on your diet. Try to eat sensible. I used to be like you and counting like crazy, but now I eat healthy and sensible. I still use my small plate, the eye eats too, lol! Glad you like my quote on my signature! Nice job with CCV5 yesterday.

Cookie, I know! I was lifting like a d….. a$$! My back was fine, which I don’t understand. I was running, when I noticed back pain? Wired! Great job on IMAX on Tuesday. How are your calves today? Let me know how you like the cookbooks. I went on Kelley M. website, her kickboxing looks like fun.

Helene, glad you enjoyed your rest day Tuesday. Don’t beat yourself up about cheat meals, I am having so many lately. I love CC V1, it’s only under 40 min. long. Love the music in that one!

Lori, how are you feeling today? (((HUGS))) LOL about your DH playing the guitar, he wanted to show off his talent. Fantastic job on Tuesday’s chest and back in the a.m and CC #6. I am jealous! I can’t wait to get the results tomorrow, at least I know what is causing my back pain. Maybe I just need a good workout, lol! BTW, Chu Chu likes to bark at everything too, he drives me nuts.

Debbie, on of those day’s I gonna have to take a spin class! Nice job yesterday.

I think that is it with personals! If I missed onebody, I am sorry:p

Today I will take my ipod, put on CCV1 and go for a nice longer walk. I will take it easy. I can't sit on my butt anymore, I think I need a good workout. Just kidding!

Have a great day and workout girls!

Hi girls,

I just got done with my walk; I decided to listen to CCV1! I burned a total of 124 cal, yeah. Felt good to get out and walk. I can’t wait until I get a really good workout run in again. I am bored out of my mind.:(

I will try to strech again today, will not go so deep!

Keep working hard, girls!

Take care,

'Morning!
Sorry I didn't get to check in last evening - I was exhausted by the time I got in.
Did a bit of work this morning and am now heading off to meet Cathe and gang. Think we're doing RS, but I'm tired already.
Will do personals later, but am relieved to hear Belinda's feeling better.
Cookie

Good Morning!

No workout for me yesterday. I decided to take a rest day:D Aren't you proud of me!?;) By the time I got home from the dentist and ate, it was 8 p.m. Then DD wanted to run out to get some headbands and we didn't get home until 9:30. Its o.k though, I don't mind taking a rest day...we need to. I probably should be taking more then I do actually.

The dentist told me that my tooth was fine...phew..but I do have a cavitity on top..the very last tooth. That should be fun getting filled. Its so hard when they are way in the back. Feels like my mouth is gonna split open:rolleyes: The problem that I am having with my other tooth is that the filling is higher then the tooth b/c of normal wear and tear, and when it clicks against the other teeth its a bit sensitive. When I go back in Oct I have to have a filling and my teeth polished. I also asked him about the missing tooth on top. The 3rd one from the back is gone and at first it wasn't a problem b/c you couldn't see it, my teeth have shifted some and i can notice it. Alot of people say they can't but I think they are just being nice. Anyway, my options are a bridge $2800:eek: or a implant $3000:eek::eek: I think I am going to go with the implant. Not now of course, gotsta save up some money for dat one!

Belinda** I think that is the longest post I have ever seen you write! LOL Good job with your workout. I bet you feel a lot better. Its amazing how some people don't ever workout isn't it? Can you imagine doing everyday like you have been doing the past 2 days? The friend that stays with us is on a diet but she doesn't move. Seriously, I don't even think she knows how to sweat! She as been gaining and losing the same lbs for a month now. And its also no good to tell her about her diet, she eats all carbs (doesn't so anything) and hardly any protein. Oh well...you can't help those who don't want it I guess. I told her the other day that she needed to start walk/running. She said that she needed to start walking first....I said..."you already know how to walk, what do you need to learn that for?" ugh!

Ameila** I don't have cc#5 never heard him say that before. Ive heard him say "now its time to burn off some ice cream" That always makes me smile b/c I forget about it until he says it. Does that mean we are suppose to eat ice cream before the workout?;) How is the calories going? It doesn't look to bad to me. I have read a million times not to go past 1200 cause thats when you body goes in starvation mode, so 1400 should be fine.

Helene** Yes...we always feel better when we get home! haha! Did you get your workout in last night?

Deb** Good job with that spin class yesterday morning. My friend picked up some protein bars for me when she was in the city so I can start eating them again now. They are sooo yummy!

I think I have caught up on personnals. I should get my backside in gear! Oh and still no Insanity yesterday:mad: beachbody said it should be here on the 4th ,canada post said it would be here on the 10th....lets hope they are right!

Lori:)

Good morning Lori and all who follows,

Glad you are taking a rest day, you deserve it. You been working out non stop, girl! I had my filling higher then the tooth a few years ago, that was painful. That’s a lot of money for an implant, you have to do it! LOL, on my long post! Well, I have nothing better to do, I usually stay very busy. You friend sounds like mine, she has every excuse in the book not to work out. I told her walk, for crying out loud. Guess what she told me, she is afraid to walk (she lives in a small town), no crime there. Then I told her to go to the gym, (BTW, I was so bored I found them on my PC), she tell me its to far away (WTH, 5 min drive?), I told her she can start running (of course slow), she tell me she has problems with her heart. I told her me too, lol! Then she told me, she can’t run because her side hurts when she runs. I told her we all went through it, you just have to suck it up. I can’t believe people like this, they make so many excuses it’s not even funny. Sorry, Insanity didn’t arrive yesterday. I know you been very excited, maybe they come today.

Take care,

Hey girls

Today ive got to do a fullbody endurance workout. I have to start it shortly after dropping off the kids because im meetting my sister this morning to watch missybusypants (my 17month old niece) I will have her until 7:30 this evening:confused:

Belinda-Awesome cal burn girl. Sounds like your friend has too many excuses;) About the calorie counting. Its been over two years now that ive messed around with calories...ive tried the higher cals for 8wks(1800-2200 average) and nothing would happen. And i feel that 8wks is long enough for something to happen. Ive danced around with cals for too long now...1400 is low for me,but at the same time,if i eat clean im not hungry. I can eat alot of clean food for 1400. Ive got to do something....im still in a size 14 and im not happy about it:( i workout to hard to be in that size! This is a strict diet, but i think thats what i have to do to get this weight off...my body is very stubburn. I plan on going three months at this range. When i first started losing wieght i was eating 1500 everyday and weighing over 278lbs...that was the only thing that worked. I promise i will be careful:) thanks for your concern:)

Hey to everyone..ive got to get off the computer if i plan on getting in my workout in about 30mins...i will bbl with more personls:)

Amelia, I thought you may be interested in this;) Trust me, I know what you mean, I been there.

Dealing With Weight-Loss Plateaus

Print E-mail

Q: How can I bust through a weight-loss plateau? I've been working really hard and have been having success; however, the scale hasn't budged for the past two and a half weeks.

expert_jillian_michaels_sq.jpg
A: Let me just tell you this, a weight-loss plateau is an integral part of weight loss. DO NOT BE DISCOURAGED! It is your body's way of protecting you for survival purposes. The weight-loss plateau occurs because your body thinks there is a famine and has slowed your metabolism in order to conserve calories. This will happen periodically throughout your weight-loss odyssey.
That said, a plateau will usually break on its own after about three weeks, but here are several ways to help get your metabolism back on track quickly!
Exercise Tips
1. Variety: Often we fall into an exercise routine — meaning that we do the same workout regimen for weeks at a time. Think of it like this: if you do 10 push-ups after not working out for months, you will be sore, but if you do 10 push-ups a day for 10 days in a row, you will no longer be sore. This is because your body adapts to your exercise program, and as it adapts, the workout becomes less challenging — and, unfortunately, less effective.

The solution is variety. You have to mix up your exercise routine in order to consistently shock your system. Here are a few different ways to mix up your workout:
  1. Alternate the weight — one week lift heavy, and the next week lift light.
  2. Change the number of repetitions. This usually goes hand in hand with the amount of weight you are lifting: one week heavy weights, low reps; the next week light weights, high reps.
  3. Change the exercise: One week do a chest press, the next week a chest fly, and the next week push-ups.
2. Intensity: The best way to speed up your metabolism is to boost the intensity of your training. By picking up the intensity, you'll burn more calories, challenge your body, and literally force your metabolism to burn a little brighter because of all the energy your body needs to complete your exercise regimen.

Food Tips
1. Eat more: Ninety percent of the time plateaus are caused by your body's survival mechanism of protecting against famine, which is triggered by calorie reduction. The best way to fix this quickly is to give your body a little more food so it feels secure. Varying your calorie intake is my best advice for keeping your body from plateauing: For the next three days vary your calorie intake between 1,800 and 2,400 calories. I know this may sound crazy, but trust me...I know what I'm doing. Then, after three days, drop back down to the calorie allowance that I have set for you through this program.

2. Reduce your sodium and DRINK LOTS OF WATER: Keep your sodium under 1,500 mg a day at most for as long as you can manage. You can achieve this in part by cutting all processed food out of your diet for two weeks.
I promise you that if you follow these tips to the letter, your plateau will be shattered by the end of week 2!

Great artical Belinda...i think Jillian knows her stuff. I will take it in consideration.:)

My workout is done. about 50mins of Maximum Intensity Strenght...tough workout.I burned 372. I didn't do the warmup, just did some jumping jacks and stretches for 3mins. Because of time,i didn't do abbs or all the leg/chest work either. Still had some good burns going, im still shaking.

Yesterday i had some baked salmon patties and butter beans and i was shocked as i measured the beans. I had two servings. Each serving is 35gs...70grams WASN'T VERY MUCH:eek: I was eating a whole bowl of these before i got my scale, thinking it was 'about' two servings...more like four:rolleyes:

Cookie-Are you working out with Cathe and gang for real:eek:(or are you 'meeting' them in your living room;)) AWESOME

Lori-Good for you for taking a rest day yesterday! I always grin when i hear comment from coach sean...i think thats in V4? Calories still going good:)

Hey to everyone that follows! I will bbl, if my niece lets me:eek:

Good morning girls,

Today I'm going to do a total body weight class at the gym. I also have work but I'm off tomorrow.

Belinda - Great article you posted. Lori's right you are posting longer, all that extra time;) hoping for good news for you tomorrow.

Lori - That does sound expensive for an implant. I wonder if it i painful?

Amelia - Good job on MIS. I went to Walmart yesterday and started looking for the food scale but of course was sidetracked. Which department would they sell that in?

Hi to Cookie, Trish, Iris & Helene:)

BBL, Have a great day everyone:)

Amelia, nice job with your workout:eek:

Debbie, I am bored out of my mind:rolleyes::( I have downloades some pic. into my profile! I will download some more:p

HELP! I posted soem pic. into my social groop, how do I delete them? I am an air head!

Hi Girls!

My day is zooming by quit nicely. I didn't get here until almost 10:) and now I am having a late lunch which will make the afternoon fly by as well. I usually eat around 12ish but now its 1:30. I had a protein bar @ 8:30 and not much since. Im surprised I wasn't hungry before now.

I am getting lots of work done today. I only have a couple of office duties and I can let it pile up for a bit so then I get a full day of work in. I just finished one pile and may move unto the next shortly....or I may leave it for another day. The beauty of my job:D

I had a awesome run earlier today. As soon as I went to go downstairs, DS woke up again:confused: So I woke DH up to watch him while I worked out. It was 7 anyway...time to get up! I did 6 miles in 52 mins. Hopefully tonight I will do disc 34.

As of lunch time there was no mail delivered to my house:( This is really, really starting to tick me off! Mostly b/c I paid for fast shipping and b/c the website isn't being updated. Nothing new since the 1st of the month...thats not cool!

Belinda** Sorry can't help you. Maybe you have it figured out by now. Don't get me started on lazy people...I could go on and on! DH called me one day at work and said " I don't know what kind of diet she is on b/c she just had 3 slices of toast with butter and cheese whiz" Then she will only eat a banana and yogurt for lunch and pretty much whatever I make for dinner. She eats hardly any meat, fills up on bread and doesn't move and faster then a turtle. She is also in her 40's and thats when everything slows down...(or so I have been told;))She has tons of time on her hands and I have all the gear for her to workout with but she doesn't care to. Now she SAYS that she is going to start but that never happens. AND she wears clothes that is to small for her. She isn't a BIG girl, she is only 5'2" (if that) and 120 something lbs. Her limbs and legs are tiny but its all around her middle, which is the worst place to gain it. Anyway, she wears shirts that are skin tight around the middle and EVERY single morning she will ask me if she as a muffin top while she is trying to stand up as straight as she possibly can. Im tired of lying to her:p Im still not sure how she manages to get herself into her jeans. She as been seeing a guy for 6 monthes now so I guess she got comfortable and gained some weight. Happens to the best of us. ( I wrote this extra long b/c you have nothing to do!) hehe! Also drives me when people say that they don't exercise b/c they don't want to wear out their knees. In other words " yeah, I know I am fat but I don't want to wear out my knees like you are doing" What exactly do you think that extra weight is doing to your knees?

Ameila** Good job with the workout! Enjoy your neice today. Thats a looong time to have a little one running around. You will be bear by the time you get home!

Deb** I can't imagine that a implant of any sort would be a peice of cake. I think it will hurt and I think it will be swollen! Enjoy your workout today!

O.k...enough with the jibber jabber...bbl!
Lori:)

Howdy Girls,

Never did get a chance to post again yesterday. DDs first (and second) day of school was pretty uneventful. I swear, she is such a go-with-the-flow kinda girl. I hope she stays this way all her life. My CC5 wo yesterday was great...burned something like 500 cals and complete 7+miles. Today's wo was B&G. Boy do I LOVE this wo. Burn, burn and more burn! Wasn't able to fit in abs so will do that tonight. Decided to wear my HRM - I burned 408 cals.

Well, I joined a gym yesterday. I really had no intentions, but went with two of my co-workers to check one out one block from the job and couldn't resist all that fabulous steel! So, next week, I'll start hitting the gym

Belinda - You poor thing...what I wouldn't give to have some 'boring' time right now:) Well, glad to have you being so chatty on the forum. Tomorrow's the big day, right? You'll hear the results?

Cookie - I think I'm doing RS this weekend. Tell Cathe and the girls I'll see them soon;)!

Lori - Good for you taking a rest day yesterday! Your body was probably confused but delighted:) I have a friend, too who is trying to lose weight. She has done it in the past so I know she can do it again (she had twins and was on bedrest for 5 months so you can imagine the extra weight you pick up from that!). She has hired a PT and we are scheduled to do a spin class on monday at her gym. I'm glad she is making the commitment. Now, on the other-hand, the woman in the office next to me complains about her weight EVERY day and owns everything you have ever seen on an infomercial since the early 90s, but uses none of it. When she begins talking about her weight I mentally turn off. Nice wo today!

Amelia - WTG on MIS! I say give what worked in the past a try. If you're not starving all the time AND it's working stick with it. If not, try something else. Jillian does offer good suggestions that I may try if my scale isn't moving soon. Have fun with missybusypants!

Deb - Enjoy your weight class at the gym. How do you like those btw? I'm thinking abou taking one next week.

Helene - What do you have planned for today? Yes, Olivia, is my youngest at 2YO. Your cheat the other sounds like a good one;) We have a YWCA (by way of before-care for 7YO DD) membership. That is where the girls are taking their swim lessons. I'm hoping to take full advantage of the membership since we are required to purchase it.

Iris - How are things going with your mom?
