<><><>clean-tidy-weekend<><><>

Good morning everyone,

Didn't sleep so well last night - girls were up a few times. Anna was crying and I would go in there and ask what was wrong and she would just say "I don't know." Ugh.

Girls got up early and Ryan got up with them and then came back about an hour later and got in bed and said he didn't feel good. I know this is horrible of me, but I swear - EVERY weekend (other than mostly the days when we have something big planned - like Disney), he says he doesn't feel good and is grouchy the majority of the day. I need to start keeping a journal because I honestly feel bad accusing him of not feeling well but it's really starting to get old. It's like he doesn't know what to do with himself on days that he doesn't go to work. He spends a good portion of the day reading or something and it seems the only way he wants to spend time with the girls is to watch TV with them. I don't know... I'm making him sound awful and he's really very wonderful. I just cringe every time I hear him say he doesn't feel well on a weekend. It's just so frustrating because it's such a consistent pattern. Sorry for rant... moving on.

Today we're supposed to go to church. We haven't been for like 2 months (the services are only the 2nd and 4th Sun) and my guess is we won't go. Hopefully he's upstairs sleeping again and will wake up feeling better.

I have a lot of house cleaning I want to get done today and I need to get my WO in at some point. I think today will be ME. I still have some pretty decent DOMS from Power Hour. My hams are always the sorest after a good weight WO. My biceps are also pretty sore from carrying kids around in Paris!!! :) Boy, was that a WO!

Anyway, going to go eat some bfast and get our day started. Seems like a lot of us are having FD this weekend! :(

BBL!

Hi ladies! Sorry, but this will be a me post since I am short on time. The family from both sides are over this weekend. My sister and family are here today then my bil is here for the rest of the long weekend. Eats were not good today needless to say. Well, at least dinner wasn't. I'm pretty pooped and exhausted. I was stressing over pooping issues with my baby and now I have a house full of guests plus chores. Eugh, glad when this is all over. I did get my backs/shoulders/bis wo in last night, but no wo today. Just a short stroll with the dog. I will try to get back on tomorrow sometime. I promise.

Lisa

bunch of fam is coming over for cake & ic for isabel's bday. havent decided if i want a piece.
wo is sts ub. i think chest/back.

I'll play!! I'll play!!

Whenever I need Chris to help me out with Collin or something around the house, he tells me (*TMI ALERT*) that he has to poop, and disappears into the bathroom for 30 minutes! It has NEVER taken me that long to go to the bathroom, there might be a medical issue going on there. And besides, I RARELY get to go to the bathroom ALONE!

I'm up, boys are still in bed. I'm picking up the house a bit before I head down for my run. All the food is made, just some last minute cleaning to do.

ha ha katrie - ikwym re cathroom never being alone time. now i take 2 into the bathroom and dh goes alone. great job with all the chores - have a fun run!

angie, hope dh feels better soon. have fun at church.

kate, i think about sneaking out with aidan at least twice a week. you kno w what happens, though? i end up going out with both boys:mad: ah well. gotta love the dh's. they have therir uses;) good stretching.

hi lisa - sorry for the stress. have you started foods with dd?

i had the greatest run this am. started off tired (me) and wet (raining). around mile 4 i woke up and the rain stopped and i ran 14 total! love the unexpected long runs. it will prep me for my family drama today. my mom called me last night to say my dh asked her if she'd come spend the night. so she is. well, he told her she was welcome to, as i have (she does not like to drive at night), but when she siad my dh asked her, she is trying to imply that i need her help so she feels better about being needy to me. i hate the manipulation!! and she will be really diruptive here with her dog. but, i can deal for a night. and all of tomorrow. if she says even once she wants my dad back, though, i am really going to lose it. i mean, why woiuld you want someone back who is having an open and obvious affair?

okay. rant over. sorrry:eek:

Morris, what an awesome run!! How long does 14 miles take? I would imagine you are not running a 7 min mile, but you are SuperWoman so who knows...

5.75 mile run done, now off to paint the front door, scrub the toilets, and vacuum the whole house!

Just finished mopping. Took me like 45 min (we have no carpet downstairs). I so rarely do it b/c I hate it so it just took forever. Then I went through the garage to come in the front door so the kitchen could dry and I whacked my head on the garage door and it REALLY hurts. Great end to so much fun!

Went to church (Ryan came) but then he went upstairs and napped. He's downstairs now but reading.

Hopefully will WO soon.

Morris, good luck with your fd! I hate manipulation more than anything! Great run!

Katie, great run! have fun with clean max.

Kate, what did you decide about the cake?

Lisa, enjoy your family time. Worry about WO and chores later!

BBL...

havent decided on cake. i guess if i really want a piece i'll have one. the real temptaton will be the leftovers sitting around....grrrrr

Morning!

Just got back from a grueling kettlebell class. I am wiped out! Of course he focused a lot on legs-I did Plyo Legs yesterday! I have to say STS must be working-I did two sets of 20 shoulder presses with 2 15# kbs-a pr for me. Going across the street for a bbq in a bit:) Gotta make a salad.

Angie, sorry for the dh issues. We all have them, trust me. As for the meds, I'm not on them, I just have the Xanax for when I really need it.

Katie, nice workout! Have a great time today!

Lisa, just relax and have a good time today.

Morris, sorry about the fd. Deep breaths! And great run:)

Kate, when I walked in the whole house smelled-like pancakes. Darrin made them for the girls. Glad I was gone. I did enough damage yesterday! Have fun today!

Hi Anne, Colleen, and Robin

Hi Everyone!

The picnic last night was nice but I had a burger instead of crabs. They are a lot of work to pull apart for just a little meat. It is a maryland thing and I grew up in pennsylvania so I never got the appreciation for crabs. I did do the Guantlet yesterday. I didn't think it was too bad when I was doing it but today I am sore. I did some CS after my PT exercises which were really hard after yesterday's workout. Today I am doing some cleaning, putting together my squat rack and some errands.

Klaudia, glad to hear you can see the results of kb's. Have fun at the bbq.
Kate, I hate having leftovers - too much temptation. A sliver of cake and a little ice cream won't do too much damage.
Angie, I hope Ryan feels better - maybe he isn't enjoying France and misses everyone.
Morris, ^5 on the run. Sorry about the FD. I hope your mom comes to her senses soon.
Katie, let me know how the limeade cake turned out.
Lisa, enjoy your family time. How often do you see them?

eats have been clean so far - had kashi with a banana for breakfast. Now I am trying to figure out what to eat for lunch.

klaudia, wtg on an awesome wo! esp after sts!
darrin is such a good daddy!
have fun atthe bbq!

colleen, i hate "working" for my food at the table!:p ribs included....or bone-in chicken.
glad the gauntlet worked!:D
yay squat rack!
hope you have a great day!

company in T-2o minutes!:p isabel is so excited!
i like colleens advice....small piece o' cake wont hurt!:D:eek:

Hi, everyone! Well, the 4 mile run I was supposed to do yesterday didn't happen. But I did it today! Actually, it was 3.97 miles, but close enough, right? I seriously can't remember when I've run that far. I was looking at my training plan and I'm supposed to run 3.5, 3.5 and 5 miles this week. So I think I'll try to do 4 again and then 5, then I'll be pretty close to caught up. We'll see how it goes...

Kate, no worries about the recital--it does start at 7:30. I'm in one act toward the beginning, but you'd be in plenty of time for the second one, that's not until the second half. But if you can't make it, I totally understand! Enjoy the bday celebration today.

Klaudia, how was the bowing alley yesterday? The kbell class sounds great. What kind of salad are you making for the BBQ?

Colleen, I don't get the crab thing, either. I'm allergic to shellfish, though, so it's a convenient excuse. Some people think it's a terrible tragedy for me, but little do they know I don't *like* shellfish! Or any fish. Nothing from the sea for me, thanks.

Angie, how was Paris? The pictures look great. Sorry about the Ryan stuff. I won't even get started about my DH lately....

Morris, great run this morning! I'm very jealous, but I'll get there one day, right? Actually, being able to finish the half marathon is my goal. We'll see how it goes. Sorry about your momdrama--if she says she wants to get back with your dad can you say to her, "Yeah, we've been over this." I tried that with my sister recently and it totally shut her up. (She goes on and on about the same things over and over again.)

Katie, how's that front door? What color did you paint it? Have fun at your party.

Lisa, do you enjoy the company? I have one BIL who would drive me nuts, but others I like a lot. I hope it's a good time for you.

Hi, Robin, how is your weekend going? Lots of family drama? We all seem to have plenty of that lately. Maybe it's a phase of the moon.

Getting stuff done around the house today. Yesterday we did nothing productive and it was so nice! We took a picnic lunch to a nearby park and walked trails in the woods for about 4 miles. Then we did a little shopping and came home and watched a movie. Very relaxing! Have a good Sunday, everyone.

anne

Going to bed. Didn't get a chance to WO today... but it's OK. Got a lot done otherwise. Tomorrow morning will get up early to do ME. Have french lessons so want to get it done early. Have a great rest of your weekend (well, I guess it continues tomorrow for you guys!)... I'll check in in the AM!
