[:[:[::::: clean / tidy weekend :::::]:]:]

^5 on getting STS 13 knocked out, Kate! I understand what you mean about meso one -- it's not the type of training that I love, that's for sure. But I didn't hate it. I REALLY hate total body workouts, but it seems I don't mind muscle endurance when it's done in splits. Super busy day for you tomorrow Kate, enjoy it!

good sunday morning!

katie, how did i not know you were such the chef, or baker should i say? what did you not like abut meso1? where did you find clothes yesterday?

kate, hope you got some rest last night and everything goes well today!

i got my outdoor run in - 9 miles of hills, but i love hills. when i got back at 6:15am aidan was up with dh. i got a dirty look, but it was worth it:p it felt cold to me, but i think i am still a bit under the weather.

anne, i don't mind sharing, and it is good for me to write out techniquies to remind myself. may ust take me a few days:D

robin, great purchases, and ita on walmart on saturdays.

klaudia, nice workout. what is on tap for you today?

gotta occupy my monkeys. bbl

Hey Morris, glad you got a run outside, sorry about the dirty look! I love to bake, but don't do much of it because I would totally eat every last bite of what I bake. Last year, I made my best friend's wedding cake, i'll post a picture...

All the clothes that I got for myself yesterday came from Gap. It's boring stuff -- a hoodie, a few tank tops. I love their clothes, but they are not cut for women shaped like me. I am very very petite and curvy (wide hips, big boobs) and I feel like their clothes are cut for differently shaped women! I got Collin a lot of spring clothes, though!

A quick hello from Birthday Central!
Birthday girl woke up to streamers galore and a few presents. We didnt get her much.....they are both getting American Girl dolls in Chicago and that is CRAZY EXPENSIVE!!!! Isabel's bday is in May so they understnd that Chicago is a big part of their bday celebrations.
We always do M&M pancakes for bdays....I had a small one with my regular Kashi fare. A little less Kashi tho. Not doing any other food than the cake/ic for the party so other than a small bday indulgnece I should be on track for the day.

Mornin' Katie! Whats up for you today? I still LOVE that cake you made!!!:D Do you flavor your fondant? I don't --- we just peel it off and chuck it! I know you can melt white choc into it but I've never tried it.

Morris, HOW EARLY DID YOU START!?!?!?! You're amazing! I had to wake up early to wrap Gina's presents - --- I forgot last night! oops!:p I would think DH would totally appreciate that you are hot stuff & take care of your body!

Happy Sunday!

I'm alone-again!!:) Darrin's up north and my parents kept the girls again so I could go out with my neighbor and a bunch of friends from PTO. We went to the local pub-I had 3 beers!! I'm going to pick up the girls after my coffee-my mom's making crepes:) When Darrin gets back I need to go to the store-we have NO food! What a great weekend this turned out to be:) Although Milla has a fever:( Not sure if I'll take her to urgent care-the last time this happened, it was a virus and she has the exact same symptoms. Oh, and I need to work legs-STS 12.

Katie, that wedding cake is awesome! I could never even begin to attempt that. I like the Gap, too, and Banana Republic and Old Navy:)

Morris, holy run! What time did you start? Why were you getting a dirty look from dh?

Happy Birthday to Gina!!:):) Have a great time today Kate!

Hi Anne, Robin, and Colleen:)

Kate, I made pancakes this morning for my boys and thought of you -- I just knew you were making m&m pancakes for Gina's birthday!

Klaudia, child-and-husband-free time AGAIN? Lucky girl! Three beers would put me on the floor, probably next to the toilet! But back in the good ole days, I could really put some beer away!

Time for groceryMAX -- in the rain:mad: I hate that more than anything. But Chris is going to one store, and I'm going to another with Collin so we can knock it out faster.

Anyone have an ideas on my 'recovery week' plan???

Hey everyone! I'm sorry I haven't checked in. My sister got her passport on Thursday at noon and an hour and a half later was at the airport waiting for her flight here. So I left the house at 5:15 on Friday morning to go pick her up and so Friday was a long day. Then yesterday we were at Disneyland... again! We left at 7 a.m. and didn't get home until 11:30 so another LONG day. And to boot, I'm still not feeling spectacular! UGH.

So, I haven't read all of the posts but my sis is leaving tomorrow AM so I'll catch up then. No WO since Monday and prob not for at least another day or two. The infection turned into a really nasty cold/cough and my ability to breathe is pretty much non-existent.

I miss you guys though... I'll be back tomorrow!
angie

Hi, Angie! No worries, we'll be here. I hope you feel better soon.

Katie, that cake is awesome! You are one multi-talented woman.

Morris, way to go on the 9 miles! You're an inspiration to me. I'm supposed to start my 10K training this week, we'll see if the weather cooperates. If not, I can postpone it another week without any problem. And thanks for being willing to share the ab workout--any time you send it is fine. I don't even check that account very often.

Kate, happy birthday to Gina! I hope you're all having a great day.

Klaudia, what a nice weekend! I'm glad you've had some time for yourself.

Robin, what are you up to today?

Hi, Colleen!

I had a lazy morning and stayed in bed reading until 11. Then I did the total body strength workout that came with my new stability ball. It wasn't Cathe intense by any means, but it was good. I'll see if I'm sore tomorrow. I'll do some Cathe later in the week to make up for it. And I LOVE my new ball! The old one was starting to lose air, even after I pumped it up, just a few days later it start to deflate again. Kate, do you want another stability ball? Not for you, but for the girls to play with? Or Klaudia? DH has mandated I get it out of the house. He doesn't care that I bought it, as long as I get rid of the old one. We're running out of space in our basement. If neither of you want it, I know a couple people at work who might be interested.

So, my friend who moved up north came down for the weekend to clean up her house here. She's trying to rent it to another friend and wanted to get it in shape. A third friend and I had lunch plans for Saturday, so she decided to come with us. Things are going well for her, but her life is very, very busy. She said it's a big adjustment for everybody and they're all still getting used to it. I've been really angry with her for a lot of reasons, but it all boils down to the fact that she doesn't do a good job of keeping in touch with me or keeping me in the loop on what's going on in her life. So, I asked if I could make a request. I asked her to start doing better at that. I told her I've been really angry with her and it boils down to not knowing what's happening in her life. She apologized and said she knows she's bad at that stuff and she has every intention of being better. So, we'll see. I feel better because I let her know how I feel. And it wasn't even awkward. I thought it would be, but we've been friends for so long that we feel like we're each other's family and nothing either of us says or does will change that. So, that's it in a nutshell!

I also cleaned out my closet today and found a bunch of stuff to take to Goodwill. I'm doing laundry right now and I'm going to watch a movie. Anybody see the original (1939) The Women? It's supposed to be really funny. I'll let you know.

anne

Oh, Kate, I forgot. The ground chicken worked just great in the soup recipe. In fact, I think I prefer it. I made it a little too spicy, but I'll just cut back on the cayenne and chili powder next time. I also put fresh cilantro in it when I served it. I love cilantro, but not everybody does. Okay, back to my movie.

anne

Mmmmm, cilantro! I love cilantro too!! And cayenne, I put it in literally EVERYTHING!

Anne, interesting about you and your friend, and GOOD FOR YOU for speaking your mind. I'm not sure I could ever do that  ^5 on the workout, let us know if you are sore.

Angie, sounds like a crazy but fun couple of days. What a total bummer that you are still somewhat sick, but be sure to rest up so whatever crud is ailing you will go away!

We got grocery-MAX done in the rain, then a *small* nap. I am fixing "refried beans" for dinner -- it's a recipe I found called "refried beans without the refry" where you cook the beans in the crockpot. Right now the whole house just smells like garlic, I hope they taste good! We will probably do bean tacos.

angie, i know how much it means to have your sis around!
sorry abt the nasty sickness tho:mad:

katie, i hate groceries in the rain too! not fun!
let us know how the beans turn out!
for recovery wk i just did cardio coach & cs. loved it!

anne, tx for the ball offer, but i have FOUR!!!!:eek: better not add to my collection!
glad the soup turned out so good! i'll have to try that. i loooove fresh cilantro!

klaudia, what a great wkemd!! did d have fun?
hugs to milla!!! im a def a wait-and-see w/ sicknesses type.

----------------
party was great...cake was yummy!
gina said she wants my "famous mashed potatoes" for dinner w/ her steak! i love her!:D

Well, all good things must come to an end-Milla has strep and my washing machine is leaking:( I still need to get to the grocery store and I haven't worked out yet. I did, however, eat my weight in homemade crepes. So, all is not lost.

Anne, thanks for the offer, but I have one, too. Give it to a work friend-it'll be easier and cheaper, too. I love the movie The Women-way better than the remake! I'm an old movie buff-love 'em:)

Angie, enjoy your time with your sister-workouts will be there when you're well and rested.

Katie, I think sticking to your running schedule and adding in some stretching is great-I'm going to do some Pilates and my running.

Kate, steak and mashed potatoes sounds fab! Great day to grill:) I think Darrin had a good time-he needed a break!

Okay, back from my run. I think I did about 2.8 miles, but mapmyrun.com is not cooperating with me right now. Anyway, it took me 31 minutes. Yes, I'm a slow poke. But it was the first run of the season, I'll get faster as I train more. With two workouts in today, I can take an extra day during the week, if need be. Plus, it's so pretty out! Not super warm, but sunny and it smells so good. I have windows open all over the house.

Klaudia, I'm sorry Milla is sick! And about your washing machine. That is a bummer ending to what sounds like a great weekend. Chin up and all that!

Kate, I'm drooling over your steak and mashed potatoes. Did I ever tell you guys my dad used to raise beef cattle? He can grill a mean steak, let me tell you! They're DH's favorite.

Katie, can you share your refried bean recipe? I always buy them in the can. I would love to know a crock pot way to make them.

Hi to Morris, Robin, Colleen and Angie!

I have to start dinner soon. Cheese scalloped potatoes, ham steak and broccoli. I know, cheese scalloped potatoes are bad, but oh are they yummy! Plus, was I was cleaning out my closet I tried on some old clothes I'm getting rid of, including a pair of pants I bought the summer I got married. They fit perfectly! I always think of that as my ideal weight, but I'm 12 pounds heavier than that now. But if those pants fit I must be about the same size, right? All this is to justify my cheese scalloped potatoes to you! I know, I don't have to, but it makes me feel better....

Have a good Sunday night, everyone!

anne

Hi Everyone!

I just sat down after running around all afternoon. We got home at 1 and then I did a workout, prepared a grocery list and had lunch and then off to the grocery store. We went later than usual and I guess I didn't eat enough for lunch because I ended up buying 4 boxes of gs cookies. Luckily I won't eat 2 of the 4 kinds I bought. Advantage of being a picky eater. Weekend was good but cold. We ran into our drama friends (the guy gets completely drunk everytime he goes out and then gets out of control - throwing things, destroying property, etc). This weekend after about 14 shots of Jack Daniels in 5 hours he laid down on a shuffleboard table while people were playing. They got pissed and threw him off the table and out the back door of the bar. We did our best to avoid them as much as possible over the weekend.

Kate, happy birthday to Gina. I thought about chocolate chip pancakes but went with egg beaters instead.
Katie, I had to go grocery shopping in the rain too. We usually go early but went late today because we were away. It was not fun.
Morris, that's great you got an outdoor run. I need to find a jacket so I can run outside when it is only 40 degrees. Maybe I can find something on clearance.
Klaudia, sorry your great weekend had to come to a terrible end. Hope the washer repair is not too expensive.
Angie, that's great your sister was able to visit. Glad you are having fun!
Anne, I have problems with mapmyrun.com too. Good job on getting in 2 workouts today.

Eats have been mostly clean except some butter on my ww toast this morning. We are having chop suey for dinner. Have a great evening everyone!

katie wow, what a cake! thanks for the bean recipe. i hope you enjoy your recovery week. if you really want to step one day, just do it! don't worry about your mileage too mcuh. you can do that race just fine, and varitety is good.

kl, so sorry about the sickness, and the washer. our washer died suddenly this fall - not fun:mad: hope it is easily fixed.

colleen, glad your weekend was fun and you could avoid drama friends. we all have friends like that. what wo did you do today? yeah on the clean eats. and i never met a gs cookie i didn't like...;)

anne, lol about the potatos and pants. enjoy em, that's all. glad you got in your run. i love a fleece for running - good for warmth, dryness, and wind.

kate, enjoy the family dinner. how was the cake? wish i was at your house.

angie, enjoy your time with your sis.

nice day here but i got kind of sick midday - tummy hurt, back hurt. dh blamed my lunch of broc, tofu, tomotoe soup. and truthfully, it was a build up of gas:eek: but honestly, i eat veggies all day every day, that was not unusual for me. but it did not agree. got some nice walks in with the family, some core and leg work. also a super clean eats weekend. bb tomorrow!
