////////// cLEAN & tidy thursday \\\\\\\\\\

Robin, Hope DS is better tomorrow. I am dreading tax time. I actually have all my stuff ready to go to the accountant tomorrow, but we did really well this year and I'm scared we're gonna owe big bucks! Have fun w/ your new vids!

Katie, PREGO on the board!!!! Just kidding. I'm scheduling Mike for a vasectomy soon. I don't want anymore scares and I think I'm pretty sure we're done. That would make our decision for us, huh?! Let us know how the wraps turn out.

My dinner was tidy - porions in check. 1 slice of french toast w/ a banana and a small portion of tidy hash browns in a non-stick skillet.

Hoping to do Cl. Str. tonight - we'll see. Paperworkmax for sure. bbl..

Hi Everyone!

Today has just been crazy. We are getting ready for a test migration next week and everything is exploding. I haven't finished work that I should have done earlier this week. Glad the weekend is coming :)

Robin, sorry about DS. Hope you don't catch it :) Got your email - Thanks! Make sure you preview Sweatfest first. She goes right into the moves in the second half of the combo.
Katie, congrats on the lost weight. It's strange how our weight changes day to day. I tried the southbeach wraps once and I thought they were just okay - but that was a couple years ago.
Kate, good job on dinner. Hope you get your Cl. Str in tonight. I need a good stretch.
Shirl, let me know how the blueberry pancakes turnout. They sound good.
Steph, sorry your boss is such a pain.

I have to run but I will think about my worst job.

Colleen

Hi,
Another night I'm exhausted. Probably b/c it's TTOM. My classes went well tonight. I don't have to work tomorrow and I'm so happy; no classes, no clients :)

Kate, Good job with dinner. :) Hope you get to do Classical Stretch.

Katie, How are you feeling tonight besides hungry?

Robin, I'm sorry DS is sick. Have you been able to get any rest?

Steph, Hope your spirits are up.

Colleen, Another busy day? Silly question, of course you were busy. I'm tired, hope you have a quiet evening.

Jenn, How are you doing this week?

Hi Colleen,

I missed your post. The blueberry pancakes were delicious. I added some mashed bananas too. I was going to make banana bread but changed my mind, so glad I did. They tasted like a dessert especially b/c of the warm maple syrup.

I can't wait to get my taxes done -- gimme my money! I should get a decent refund -- good thing, since I've got a wedding to pay for!

Shirl, I feel pretty good actually, thanks for asking! No classes or clients tomorrow -- what are you gonna do all day?? Do you ever take someone else's class?

Colleen, are they calling for bad weather up there?

Steph, sorry to hear about your rough day at work. Check in when you can -- we are worried about you!

Kate, I want some of your dinner!!

Katie,

Yes, I do take classes from other people, but not as often as I'd like. Maybe S&H will arrive tomorrow.

A friend in fitness,
Shirl

Colleen, One more day til the weekend. I hope you get to relax and not have to do paperwork.

Shirl, YAY! A day off tomorrow! When you eat maple syrup do you use the real stuff or the fake stuff? If fake, do you eat the light version? I buy real for DH, but the girls and I actually prefer the fake. I rarely use it - I like sliced bananas on top! But sometimes you just can't beat syrup!

Katie, I used to think it was a good thing to get a refund until my accoutant set me straight. He explained that when you get a refund its actually that the IRS has held onto little bits of your paychecks all year long and now you're just getting your own money back. He tries to keep us set up that we PAY around $500. That way, WE have had the IRS's money! Make sense? Hope you get your S&H soon.

Kate,
I use the real stuff; I love it and so do my children. Our accountant told us the same thing.

I think someone asked about foam rolling recently. I went to a training for foam rolling, so I do my own thing. I believe there are some foam rolling dvd's out there. I just don't know much about them. I love foam rolling. I have IT band issues and foam rolling helps. Ahhhh It hurts so good...literally.

Hi all,

Kate Atlantic City was fun but I didn't win anything.x( But I did buy myself some new Avia's. So all was good.

My favorite season is fall. I love the change of the colors and live in an area in upstate NY where we have lots of mountains and the colors are beautiful.

My worst job was a manager at facility for disabled adults. I loved my clients but my coworkers and superiors were very nasty. I didn't thrive in the enviroment I was in and was miserable.

Shirl my week has been not good. I've been lazy about getting up and working out in the morning. Then I get mad at myself for not getting up and its a pitiful cycle.

Robin I hope your DS feels better. I hate nursemaid duty. Luckily DH is good with when Shelby gets sick which lucky for us is not often. We start cookie sales this month. That's an awesome amount your troop raised. I think our girls are working towards a lock in a musuem or aquarium. They love lock ins.(sleep overs). They have one coming up at a rock climbing center. I might chaperone this one.

Katie I've never had South Beach wraps. I'm a Lean Cuisine girl. Love their pizza and just bought thier flatbreads to try.

Colleen sorry about your crazy day. Hope you have a great weekend. Did you order the new Tracey dvds?

Steph sorry about your work blues. Hope it all gets better.

Jenn

I like the fake syrup also. DH likes Aunt Jemina, DD likes Mrs. Butterworth. I like who ever is on sale. I have a house full of picky eaters. Maybe we will have pancakes for dinner. Once DH gets done working on his car. That could be all night.

Kate, I totally understand the logic behind the federal tax withholdings -- you are basically lending your money to the government, they make money on it and you don't.

I have only recently (since Collin was born) begun to get a big tax refund. I get the child tax credit, earned income credit (I make a very small salary:-( ), and I get loads back because of the $6K+ I pay each year for child care. I really like getting the big refund -- having a large chunk of money allows me to do things that I might not be able to otherwise. I could REALLY be better about saving money.

Anyone know of a savings account (something fairly liquid) with a good interest rate? I know e*trade and ING have some good rates sometimes.

My first year out of college, I screwed up and owed a LOT! Ever since, I have made sure I didn't have to do that again. In due time, the pendulum will settle back somewhere closer to the middle.

I am suddenly super super tired, may go to bed soon!

Katie, As far as a liquid savings account...

Edward Jones has a good money market account. I don't remember the current rate but its much higher than the banks! You can withdraw your $$ at any time without a fee. EJ is a national company - you should have one near you. An accoutant could also show you how to adjust your exemptions for your paychecks so you get more money each week instead of the lump sum at tax time. On the flip side, I've heard the point you made before. It's like a forced savings account if you're not disciplined about saving money. I, much to DH's dismay, am super disciplined. I have 20% of our income automatically taken out of our account. We have no retirement plan being self-employed and that scares the wind out of me. Hope this info helps. Oh - being that it is tax time someone at an H&R Block or something similar could easily (hopefully free!) show you how to adjust your exemptions. Good luck!

Holy smokes!
I'm so glad DH went out, and i can check in!!

I like fake syrup too!! Yay fake syrup.

Kate, i'm packing and coming to Michigan! I might have to move in with you for a while, i'm very clean, tidy non smoker, lol!

Robin, sorry about DS, you have to tell me all about S&H and sweatfest. I got to meet Tracey at the RT and she's awesome!

Shirl, day off! woooowhoooo!

Jenn, its the worst when the job is great, but the people suck. those poor patients probably suffered for it too.

Katie, i have an ING account. Dont know what else is offered in the US to help out more.

Well, i'm so depressed at work. My manager is very supportive, its not just me, he actually likes me the best, so you can imagine how my colleagues feel. She feels we are actually being abused, or its similar to an abusive relationship. We'll see what happens right. I love you guys, thanks for the support.

BBL!
Hopefully,
Steph

I'm back. DH and I went out to dinner to celebrate some new work he got. He will finally have a regular income which is something we have missed for the last 18 months. Also, I think he missed me because I have been so busy this week.

I get the lite fake syrup. In my quest to eat more natural stuff, I bought the real syrup but just didn't like it.

Katie, if you go to bankrate.com, they will tell you which savings/money market accounts have the best interest rate. Since DH is self-employed and we never know when the checks from his clients are going to arrive, we started it to have some cash to carry us over in those months when no one pays (like December - no one writes checks in December).
We are supposed to get some ice tomorrow but it will change over to rain so I probably won't get a snowday.

Steph, take care. It really sucks when you have to spend most of your time at a place that is not great.
Shirl - I am so jealous that you have a day with no clients or classes - Enjoy!

Worst job was working on as a contractor for a government agency on a project that couldn't get started because of the bureaucracy. I worked for a guy who was ALWAYS late for meetings and I had to take over for him. Also, he would go on vacation and not tell me. Very frustrating.

w/o was HISM 2 Circuit Mix, Parts Pilates and Abs
b: shredded wheat w/ almonds
l: chicken suiza bake
s: edamame, blueberries
d: salmon, seaweed salad, sweet potato fries

Have a good night!

Colleen

Colleen, you have the best menu!

What is chicken suiza bake?
Can you share your seaweed salad recipe? Looks fabulous.
I'm heading to bed, no TV! that was my plan and i stuck to it.
Have a great night everyone,
Steph

Steph, As much as I hated it when DH used to travel I loved having the house alone too! Will there be a big pow-wow at work to fix things or do they get swept under the rug?

Shirl, Awesome eats today! I'm curious about the seaweed salad too.

I just finished CS and I feel so good. Going to head to bed too...with a magazine. DH and I were NOT getting along doing work tonight so I stretched and he went to bed. Easier than fighting about it. So I have some quiet time too!

I also really want someting SWEET right now! I would love to get a nice bowl of cookie dough ice cream and drown it in hot fudge!!! But I won't.... (sigh)

Our snow has not started yet. Supposed to at midnight...1.5 hours from now. Hope we get dumped on and COMPLETELY snowed in! Hey, I've got 4-wheel drive and can get out if we need to. Wish us a snow day for Gina tomorrow!

Katie & Robin, Cathe posted the Feb rotation which I think you both would love. GymStyles and S&H. I noticed, Robin, that Cathe has S&H 3 days in a row - yowch!!!
