^^^^clean&tidy monday^^^^

Mmmmmmm, pumpkin soup, that sounds good. Did you make, Colleen? I hope you were able to warm up. I was freezing all day yesterday, I know how you feel.

Kate, what's wrong with having a cookie? Ha! Oh, and I'm the lil sis.

Morris, sorry your meeting did not go well. Did walking your dog help with your grump?

Angie, how's Ryan? Is he feeling any better?

Klaudia, how are your kiddos today?

Hi to Robin and Katie.

I went to Fazolis for lunch today, so that wasn't too bad. I'm not telling you what I ate over the weekend, let's just say there was both cake and ice cream (but Dad only turns 80 once, right?).

So, I need to follow a training program to get ready for the half marathon I agreed to do. For the past two summers I have promised myself I would do a 10K, but I haven't done it yet. I'm thinking I'll do an 8 week training program for a 10K race and then do a 12 week program for the half marathon. That means I'll need to start in two weeks. Does that sound reasonable? And what should I do for weights? Morris, I know you lift heavy for upper body combined with running, do you like that? I actually like lifting heavy for lower body, too, but I could forgo it for a while to see what results I get. I know running regularly does good things for my legs.

Let me know what you think. I'll be back in a bit.

lol angie!!!

the girls, all of them!, and i just got back from meijer - $115 baby!!! and that was with all of g&i's impulse buys!!
isabel picked out trail mix (aka evil bag of naughtiness!) .... i had a little bit, nowhere near a serving. will have some cut up peppers after nursings done.

anne, wish i could help on the training....a runner i will never be!

colleen, i hate being that cold! yuck!

morris, im sorry for the sucky mtg!! are you going to work in florida?
if you find some lotto tix, let me know! i bought one of my sisters some for her 18th bday - she won $100!!! im the cool sister!

Kate, I am so jealous! I spent almost $250 in groceries THIS WEEK ALONE, and I still have to buy food for Collin's party on Saturday. Cookies sound good -- I usually bake something on a snow day, but I really am not *craving* something bad so I better not...

Angie, what happened at the grocery store dear? How was your workout today?

Anne, that is a lot of school! I didn't realize that you vacation in the OBX. It is our favorite place on earth! In fact, we just booked our week at Nags Head. A 10K and a half? That's nuts!! Maybe one day...

Morris, (((hugs))) about the bad meeting. Was it your foot or something that it was bothering you when you run? How is that feeling? Does it hurt with any other cardio?

Colleen, glad you are having a productive day at home, menu looks good! Is your snow melting?

Robin, awwwww, I'm calling the STS police on you!;)

Klaudia, did you get it all done today? Was cardio HIIT?

Collin and I had a lazy morning around the house, then went outside to play in the snow. He wasn't acting all that interested, but I knew he needed to get some energy out. We did a little bit of sledding, then we walked across the street to Bishy's work (it's about 1/2 mile I would say). Well, I walked and pulled Collin in the sled. We visited for awhile, then we came home -- except I carried Collin on my back the whole way back because he was cold and tired. Have I ever mentioned that his weight is approximately 1/3 of my body weight? He is very tall and solid and HEAVY, especially when it is 30* out and you are walking thru several inches of snow:rolleyes: Oh well, bonus workout for me.

Speaking of workouts, I haven't done mine yet:eek: STS disk 7 is on tap for today. I guess I will do it when Chris gets home from work.

Eats have been clean today -- I really haven't eaten much but I am pretty hungry now. I think dinner will be spinach quiche and steamed broccoli.

katie, what a nice day!!
baking is evil - dont do it unless the sugar demons summon you!:p
i have carried isabel on my back more times than i can count. she was going to b my last and long/lean...easy to carry...its a wonder she actually can walk. im sure julia will never walk tho - oh how i love to hold her!:D
take heart on the groc bill - im sure ill go back at the end of the week...i can already think of some things:rolleyes:

With Chris eating healthier these days, the grocery bill is just getting higher and higher, it's awful. I'm glad that he is working on it, though!

I will go back to the store on Friday for party food (cheese, crackers, fruit, veggies) and we are also having a birthday dinner for Collin Friday night (lasagna, garlic toast, salad). I also purchased $50 in cake/cupcakes for his birthday:eek: I just don't have time to make it all myself, so my mom is bringing the cake/cupcakes from our favorite bakery in Richmond.

Morris, I got the DVD in the mail today, thank you!

I agree, Katie, a 10K and a half is nuts, we'll see how it goes. My knees and hips may not like it at all. I prefer triathlons since you do something different every day for training. But I don't have a place to swim these days since I gave up my gym membership. WTG on getting the cupcakes/cake from the bakery. I did that for my dad's party this weekend and everybody raved about the cake. One person asked if I made it and I said, "In the sense that I called the bakery and ordered it."

Angie, slaap lekker! (That's Flemish/Dutch for sleep well.)

Kate, you amaze me that you take all 3 kids to the grocery store. Good job!

Hi to everybody I missed. I'll catch up later tonight or tomorrow. I decided I'm going to do the Body Blast Timesaver work outs this week. They're pretty short, but that's all I have the time/energy for. And I'll go to at least 2 tap classes, maybe 3. So I should be all right. Maybe it's okay to step things down a bit before I start my running training. See you all soon.

anne

Angie, I forgot, did you get Pyramids? I love those work outs, but Slow and Heavy have a dread factor me. I've used them successfully, but I have to be in the right place mentally and able to focus. That's not me these days and I tried to do S&H in February and it didn't work. I could probably do Pyramids for several weeks, though, and not get bored. Those work outs just fly by for me. Enjoy them!

anne

LOL! Sorry Kate, but I must say, they are gooooooood! I ordered 36 for Collin's party on Saturday, plus 1/4 sheet cake for Friday night. LOTS-O-CAKE for Mommy!:p

I just finished up a quick 20 minute walk on the treadmill, cleaned up the kitchen and unloaded dishes, and now I am starting on STS7! After STS, I will try to wrestle Collin to sleep, then BachelorFinaleMAX:p

can i come to c's party????? please!!!? i'll bring a really cool present!!!
enjoy sts!! pull strong!!!

im taking a rest day. i didnt yday. my house is a pit....need to cleanmax. maybe ill ellipticize if i have time.

You guys are too funny. I did Timesaver workout #1. Does anybody else have this? The push ups in that workout are ridiculous. Nothing compared to STS, I guess, but I couldn't even do all of them on my knees. Of course, I still have a cold.

Okay, I have to pay bills and grab a bite to eat, then off to tap. Have a good night, everyone! Kate, if you go to Collin's party, I'm coming with you!

anne

plenty of rm in the durango anne!! klaudia, you comin' too? bring the girls!!

anne, wtg on the wo!!

morris, hows it going? stressmax over or still in full force?

hi kate - less stress now. it is amazing what snoeshoing in 14 inches will do for you;) enjoy the cupcakes:p

katie, you have your hands full for sure. good jopb ewith the walk and weights.

anne, that is a lot of training. i never did any formal training for a half, just woklred my mileage up till i could run 13 or 14. sorry no help. i agree, though, that tris are good for the variety and less stress on the body. i think you can still do lower body weight work, i just don't d/t time mainly. i do some lunges and runner specific stuff 2x's week. lol on cake sand icecream.

well, we still have powwer, and that is good. eats have been squeaky. i am just not in the mood to eat. good i guess, just a discouraging day. tomorrow will be great, though. home with my boys, and an am run. bath time!

Everyone is welcome at the party!! T-shirts and cupcakes for all!!

STS disk 7 done, clean dinner is done, Dove dark chocolate covered almonds....oops! Time for the Bachelor!

Morris, Goo djob on the snowshoeing! You're amazing!

Katie, Your chocolates are NUTHIN" compared to the cookie inhalation I pulled while cleaning the kitchen. By far,,,the worst cookie binge this board has seen.

Doing payroll stuff....hopefully after this week it will go smoother.
