Just got back from the doc and spending the afternoon at my grandma's. My appt. was at 10:50-I didn't get out til 12:30-with all 3 girls!! Got them McD's for being so well behaved. I had a grilled chix snack wrap and a McChicken minus 1/2 the bun-I was hungry! Still need to workout. You ladies have been busy today!

Anne, we are so planning a Midwest get together! It'll be easier to plan-and cheaper than a road trip
I'm sorry about the family stuff-my mom's only 53 and she's got major back pain-is on a lot of heavy meds, sleeps a lot, etc. She's having surgery in the nexth month or two-I pray it helps because her quality of life is nil. She's miserable and depressed. Makes me sad and angry-I want my old mom back! Your family is very lucky to have you-DH, too!
Angie, that game was good! I love college basketball and will watch pretty much any game-they're always so exciting! The Canary Islands sounds heavenly. We can meet in Michigan or Indiana this summer! That would be awesome!
Kate, hope you're feeling better-popsicles will definitely help! I'm the same way with my mom-told her to try acupuncture, the arthritis swim program at the YMCA, yoga, etc. She does nothing! And it just gets worse. She went to the emergency dentist last weekend-ended up with an abcess because she grinds her teeth-and doesn't wear her mouth guard! Come on! And she's on so much pain medicine that she didn't feel how truly bad it was til it wore off! It does make it hard to be sympathetic. And she's overweight! And what does she do when she comes over? Brings donuts and cookies!! Arrgh! But we love them! That story about Mike had me cracking up! Need to try that on D!
Morris, sending you love. I can't imagine what you go through having a husband who travels so much. You're a very strong woman. I would not be nearly as accomodating or understanding. Heck, I get resentful when Darrin's gone for a day or two doing snow! Glad your mood lifted-helping animals has to be so gratifying.

Ack! Super busy today! Can't catch my breath! But, DH decided he doesn't want to travel this weekend, so he had me call his sister and tell her he has the flu. I know, I feel bad for lying to her, but I'm SOOOOO happy I don't have to spend the ENTIRE weekend away. I'm still going to my folks tomorrow, but I have tonight and Sunday.
