Hi Woodie,

Obviously not Cathe!!!!! But I was intriqued by your question about CLA. I had never heard of it before. So, I did alittle research and I found some interesting facts about the ingredients that make up CLA..........

I just makes you wonder!!! :)

Just be careful what you put into your body! Most bodybuilders work at a 97% rate of performance and then add the supplements for the last 3%.....so why do we always run for the 3% when we should be performing at the 97%? Please don't take offense to any of these......we just have to look out for eachother! :) :) :)

I would agree with you, Marianne. I actually took CLA for a short period of time...I had difficulty finding much info about it and am always a bit afraid of...oh, say killing myself by accident  . Anyhow, I found that the studies that have been done have been mostly on animals with no adverse effects at the time I did my research. There had been some very limited human tests done, also with no negative results and very "hopeful" expectations. I felt comfortable at the time to try it since I couldn't find any reports of "DANGER". My experience was that it seemed to help me more easily keep off the weight I was losing, but didn't seem to increase my rate of fat loss very dramatically. It's somewhat costly, so eventually, I just stopped taking it. Since then, I've seen an article in Prevention Magazine (not sure what month; year '03 or '04) that was very positive. But since no long term studies on humans have been done in a reliable setting, I just feel better not taking it.

Hope this was helpful!
