What are your thoughts on CLA? I don't use any metabolism enhancers now and never have, but I want to lose 50-60 pounds by summer and I'm wondering if CLA is something I should try.

Thanks!

Lisa

I've used it for several months now because I've read good stuff about it, and I AM thinner, have lost a little weight, etc., but I don't know if I can credit the CLA. I started doing a lot of little things all at once & don't know what did the trick - probably a combination of calorie cutting, wearing a pedometer, pilates, drinking green tea, CLA - who knows? Anyway, I dropped 5 lbs. and my "test" shorts are fitting loose now.

I also do CLA and have for a few months now. I also dropped coffee and switched to green tea. It's killing me because I love that coffee - but David Kirsch sets forth the theory that the amount of caffeine in coffee causes a spike in cortisol which makes the body hang onto fat, esp. belly fat. I've never read this from anybody else, but I've been off of it for a few weeks now and do see a difference. I think the green tea and the CLA are a good combination.

I've seen this mentioned by many fitness experts, but I always end up going back. I enjoy coffee, it's curbs my sweet tooth and satifies my need to eat when I really don't need food, just comfort. I like green tea, but it just dosen't leave the same way.

I've read CLA can take several months to even show results. Then on the flip side there hasn't been enough studies to support the claims.

Lisa, a buddy of mine lost 9% body fat in 3 months with CLA! She looks amazing. She takes CLA and does weight training along w/ aerobic exercise. Her album is password protect but if you send me a pm I can give u the info w/ her permission. I'm going to try it as soon as I stop nursing. It's on my wish list :)
