Cathe,
Sometimes I have such a hard time learning the moves in step aerobics. I even re-play my DVD on slow-mo about 100 times (no exaggeration) for certain segments. But with moves that require me to turn/pivot with my back to the TV and I look over my shoulder to figure out what leg you are on during the middle of a jump/around the world move ("are you still mirroring me or are we on the same leg now that my back is turned?"), I get lost.
Perhaps you (or a crew member) could wear a band or ribbon on just one of your legs/upper thighs. That way I would see you wearing a marker on your left leg which means I should be doing it on my right leg. You could even embroider a little "C" on the back and front of the upper thigh or "Cathe" repeated in a circle around the thigh (who knows...you could then sell monogram Cathe Workout Wear)
It is easy to learn step when we face/mirror each other and do basic steps but when you turn your back and/or cross the step, it gets confusing.
