((((Chinups/Pullups And Stuff)))

May I join your chins group?

Yes, by all means join us. Check-ins are fun when there are more people!

I did Bootcamp (the original) this morning. I wanted to do KBs this morning, but my back is just too tight at this point. Funny thing, even though I don't get DOMS from KBs I certainly felt which muscles had been hit hard while doing BC. Those that were still worn out started burning quickly and wanted to give out. I went twice as heavy or more than Cathe on BC, workout was 1 hour and I burned 527 calories.

Catherine - I haven't decided on the STS yet. I need to look at it more and I am just not sure if I am ready for that big of a commitment.:p Will you be doing 3 months or 6?

Judi - Did you get the snow?

FINALLY!!! I got a workout in. I decided to go with Rhythmic Step because of the fun factor and I have a kb session with Katie tomorrow. My foot did ok. It didn't hurt but has a weird sensation in it. Really hard to describe.

Linda, I am siure that I will only do 3 months of STS. Whenever I get around to starting LOL!!

Catherine - Yeah! On the workout! That must feel great! As far as the foot goes I guess weird is better than pain.:p But I understand the weird thing, a week ago the inside/back (part near index finger) on my right thumb went numb and hasn't come back yet. So writing and things feel weird because I have no thumb. Maybe I'll join you when you start STS, three months would be the longest I could handle. Although there is a rotation in M&F Hers that I'd like to try.:D Decisions, decisions????:rolleyes::confused::rolleyes:

Those of you who have STS (not me) - have you got to the part where she has you chinning yet? Just curious how it all works in.

No chins for me until Tuesday - I do them 2X a week - that's enough!!

I honestly do not know when I will start STS. I am actually thinking maybe May. I have several more injections to go in the foot (every other week) and I still am working on correcting some lower body issues. I want to have that all out of the way before I start.

Cakebaker, Judy is the only one on this check actually doing STS right now LOL!! I think she'll tell ya that it's brutal :p I agree chins 2x per week is enough. Atlhough I haven't done any for 2 weeks due to illness and various issues :(

Woo Hoo!! I'm officially done with Meso1:D I am seriously re-thinking some of my 1 rep max numbers. How many times have I mentioned that:rolleyes:!! I'm already up to 73 lbs for BB rows and I can't imagine what the amount will be in Meso3. My troy lite bar is only supposed to hold 80:confused:

I did one set of 12 chins w/med band, 1 set of 5 w/light band + 7 more w/med band then 10 pullups w/med band. I still can only do a couple unassisted so I may need to do these more than 1 day/week.

Catherine- YAY! I bet it felt great to workout. Have fun with Katie tomorrow.

Linda- We got just under 7" of snow. My poor DD called up in tears because she couldn't make it up the hill and didn't know what to do. Luckily DS and his GF were here and pushed her car enough to get it moving. I didn't know if I could handle a long rotation either but after doing P90X, I find I really prefer the structure. Otherwise, it is guesswork and hit or miss for me.

Cakebaker- Welcome! With STS, you start chins/pulls right away in the back & bicep workouts. There are 2 sets of chins and 1 set of pulls...doing as many as you can for 30 seconds. I think 2x/week would be best but I don't always make the time to do them:eek:

Judi, BTW, I apoligize for constantly spelling your name wrong

No big deal;) Happens all the time. My mother wanted me to be "different" so she chose to spell my name with an I instead of the typical Y. So much for finding personalized coffee cups, key chains, notecards, etc...

It's funny because some days I get it right and others I don't. Then I'm like asking myself "uh, it is an "i" or a "y"?" Thanks for your patience :p

Judi - Congratulations on finishing Meso 1! Yeah! Not sure I am even going to bother with the 1 rep max test. Too many people seem to think they are off. Besides I know what I lift. I think I could do 3 months but not six. I like to change things too much. BTW, what bands did you end up getting??
