Hello ladies!!!! Well, it is supposed to freeze here tonight x( I won't complain because I know you ladies up North have it a bit worse.

I hope you all are doing well!!

I did 4DS Double cardio premix this morning. I did pullups too. My numbers continue to get better:

4/1,4/1,3/2,3/2 & 3/2 (first is unassisted, second number assisted with a light band) I got 2 more unassisted ones in today!! It's nice to see progress!!

Hey Chinsters,

Went to Chicago last weekend to visit family. It was so nice to see green grass and flowers blooming. Went running and did a kickbox class at the club. I belong to Balley's but I only seem to go when I am down in Chicago.

Did two chins when I got home. Had to make sure I could still pull my self up.

I need to loose about 7 pounds too. I gained it over the winter. My pants are all so tight. DH calls it my winter coat. It is mainly around my middle - ugh! I know I have to eat less and move more.

Good Afternoon Chinsters!

Today was Power Yoga for Happiness Daily Dose of Bliss and 4DS kickbox. I'm trying to get some extra cardio in to lose at least 5 pounds (but I really want to lose 10). No chinups today. Maybe tomorrow or Wednesday.

My house looked like a tornado hit it this weekend. I took apart my basement, threw away a lot of stuff and donated a lot of stuff. My closing is supposed to be 2 weeks from today but I still don't have an official closing date yet.x(

Did everyone see the Road Trip announcement? Anyone going? I'm going to try and convince DH that I have to go but it's not going to be easy. I think I'll just try and register and if worse comes to worse, I lose $100. If you go, which one are you going to try and register for?

Joanne - I also have the problem around the middle. No matter what I do it's always still there. I am trying to watch what I put in my mouth but maybe it's all the stress I'm under right now. Congrats on the 2 chins!

Catherine - Great work on the pullups!

Briee - You really have to behave in church:p I would guess sometime in June or July for STS. I have a lot of catching up to do between you and Catherine on the chins/pulls. Not total food deprivation - just donut deprivation! I have to do some ice cream deprivation.

I'm thinking August too. I am so excited, just don't know if I'll get to go for sure yet.

Didn't do 4DS upper body premix as planned. Struggled to make self do anything. Feel like crap but did own upper body. 2 exercises for body part 3 sets of 10-12. Glad I at least did something.

Tomorrow is cardio. May do BM2 step.

Hey Joanne, I am feeling better-thanks.

Did BM2 cardio blast premix this evening. But had to stop after the 1st power circuit because my neuroma (inflammed nerve in foot) was killing me x( I am scheduled to get it injected next week and hope that calms it down. I need to be able to do my cardio!!!!

Hello fellow chinners!! Who's been grabbing that bar??? Raise your hands. Come on,.....

I did legs and chinups this evening.

Chins were weighted 2.5# ankle wts: 6 sets of 5 (I did one one more set of 6 unweighted) Was super happy with these!!!

Legs
Squats: 95# 9, 10 & 10(up 5# and ^ 1 rep on last 2 sets)
RDLs: 70# 10; 80# 3 sets of 10 (dropped wt a bit and focused on form)
Lunges: 40#-10, 60#-8, 45# 2 sets of 10 (lets just say I suck on unilateral leg work)
GMs: 60# 3 sets of 10 (up5#)
Calf Raises: 125# 3 sets of 20

I haven't done any unilateral leg work in a while and I must work on this as I know Cathe has some in STS :eek:

Catherine....no Neekid chins here....too many kids around!! Too funny.

I'm so proud of myself...I haven't missed a workout day in 10 days!!! Never mind the chins.....I'M WORKING OUT!!!

The more amazing thing is...I'm in the middle of a fast right now and still able to do half decent workouts. I'm doing green drinks during the day and began on Monday so I'm on day 3 or so. It's just something I NEED to do. I'm sure I'll loose some muscle through all this, but like I said, "it's something I NEED to do".

I just don't know about the road trip - would be a BLAST though!!

Hey gang!! Today was a rest day for me and I needed it. My tushie was sore. I think from the lunges yesterday. I am gonna try and do those here and there. Oh and DH did a repeat performance the other day of his chinups :+

Briee, great job on your workouts. I have never done a fast. What exactly is your goal for the fast. Is it wt loss?

Oh forgot to tell you all- Bisquit, my youngest doggie tore her ACL and will be having surgery on 4/29 :( She had a knee problem already and I was planning surgery to correct it and now we have a more complicated procedure. I was waiting to see what was gonna happen with Muffie (with her bladder cancer) and now this has happened :(

It's raining today so instead of running, I did supersets and .....

Yes that wonderful exercise....CHINS.

I was thinking that I wouldn't have the energy to do chins/pulls since I have been fasting, but I got a burst and did 5 pulls, 5 chins, 5 pulls, 5 chins, 5 pulls - and they were probably the easiest I've done in a LONG time - I could have done several more in each set. I know I've lost a few pounds already - but somehow they were INFINITELY easier than in the past. Really weird huh!

To be honest, I'm fasting for spiritual reasons, but the physical benefits have amazed me. I'm on day 4 and my joint pain has GREATLY improved. The joint on my pinky finger which has been swollen with what I'm assuming is arthritis for the last 1 1/2 years is not even noticeable and absolutely NO PAIN anymore. I'm really thankful. I don't think I'll ever eat again. :7 The green shakes consist of organic romaine, or spring mix, or raw spinach packed in the blender with 1/2 an orange, 1/2 a banana and some water with a tad of orange juice. That's all I'm eating, except I did add a cup of lentil soup/broth before I did muscle endurance the other day, but now I'm weaned off of that and hope to continue this on green drinks alone. Not sure how long. I'd LOVE to go 40 days.

Thanks for asking and hope I didn't ramble too long...I'm just so excited about the joint pain disappearing (and the EASY pulls/chins)!!!

OMG, I am so excited!!! Not only did I do 5 pull ups this morning, but I did 2 sets of 5!! I have never done 5 pullups ***insert happy dance*** I did C&W step premix and did pullups between step segments. As follows: 5,5,4,4, & 4!!! I was so excited that I forgot to do my assisted ones!! So I did 5 assisted at the end with my lightest band.

Planning heavy upper body this evening.

Catherine...that is so AWESOME. Soosan would be proud of you too!!! (but she wouldn't tell you because she wouldn't be speaking to you).

You are just AMAZING!! Congrats and high 5's!!!!!.

Briee (I thought about it for some time and I think your dh likes to do them in the buff because he weighs less and therefore can get more reps - although i do see the logic behind this way of thinking - I do believe that you will ultimately get more reps out as you will have built more strength by the weight of your clothes/shoes etc. Could you tell your dh that if he does them in a park setting...he really should wear clothes as this can lead to arrest (and we're not talking heart arrest here:p ))
