***Chinups and more****

Hey ladies!!! Are ya out there? LOL!!!

I slacked earlier this week. Was supposed to do pullups on Sunday and skipped them :( Today I did P90X Legs and Back. I'll be honest, on my way home from work I was so not motivated to workout. It's a long story, but having issues with a sister who got divorced a few years ago and hasn't bounced back. She has alienated herself from family esp me. We used to be very close. Now she won't answer my calls or pick up when I call. It just hurts :( Today is her birthday. I sent her an e-card and I know she opened it (they send you a notice). She didn't even have the courtesy to acknowledge it with a simple thank you email. Is that asking too much? Sorry to rant. Anyway on to the workout that almost wasn't LOL! I mentally just wasn't into it and wasn't anticipating much. But figured do what you can. You know Tony's saying "do your best and forget the rest" So my chinups were 7,7,6,5,5,5,4,& 4 for a total of 43. I was suprised

I am so loving the new workouts BTW!!! Joanne, have you got yours yet??

Ok so who else is chinning out there??

Just running in to say hi!! Yesterday was a rest day for me. Today I hope to tackle 4DS upper body premix. It will be a frier. Last Friday I did the Back & Biceps premix with the Chest, Shoulders and Triceps premix and that was killer. Well, the upper body premix is longer  I hope to be able to type later :7

Catherine...I'm so sorry to hear about the troubles with your sister. Family can be such a hard thing. Keep sending her those emails and pray that she will pull through this. Maybe there are some other hurts that she just needs to work through and isn't verbalizing to you. Don't know, but I know it hurts.

I did Yoga #3 (power yoga) this morning and then heavy shoulders (I did heavy shoulders yesterday - but didn't feel anything today----so I'm trying again!!) Also did 6 chins and hope to do more later. Catherine...I can't believe your chin numbers - that is SO awesome. I'm hoping this will rub off on me to get back to these on a much more steady basis!!

Joanne - I'm checking into Cardio Coach. Our internet/email was out this week and FINALLY got repaired. This is the down side to living out in the boonies - but I can live with that!! Will let you know when I try one!! (have to figure out how to down load or wait for dh)

Briee

LOL at Briee repeating shoulders because she didn't feel anything!! Sounds like you are enjoying your Yoga ;) Thanks Briee for your kind words. I have been doing lots of praying and trying to lay back and let her work through this. Oh and thanks for the props on the chins. I have been working hard on the chins. Need to work harder on pullups

Well I did the upper body premix as I planned. I am typing, but   What a workout. I also later did HIS cardio. So good workouts for me today. Tomorrow will be heavy legs. I can not believe I am almost squatting 90#!!!!

Waving to Joanne and Sooooooooooooosan if you are around!!

Ya think it's the California air????

I know if the wind is blowing the wrong way...I have a bad pullup day!!x( x( .

Briee, again

Is still elated by Ms Joanne's chinup!!!!! Wonders if she has repeated??

Yesterday was heavy legs. It was harder this week for some reason. I think it's because I did that bleeping UB premix from 4DS the day before legs. It made it hard to hold that BB. I kept the wts the same. Squated 87.5#, RDLs 102.5 both 4 sets of 6, Bulgarian squats were (2) 20# DBs and did 4,6,6,6- not sure what happened on first set?? Calf raises 102.5 2 sets of 20. Of course those numbers don't count warm up sets. Legs are a little tight today :+

Today I did BC cardio followed by part of KB cardio this morning. This afternoon I did LIS cardio and abs and pullups. Pullups were 4,3,3,3,2,&3. I think I am done for the day :7

How's everyone else doing??

Catherine and Briee, you gals are so funny!

BUT, now I am confused. I left Cal today and this morning before I left I did one. When I got home I tried one on my bar and couldn't budge. Now, my brother's bar is higher and I have to reach up to get it. I am hanging, had two witnesses (my brother and my nephew) and they both said - yes - I did a chin up (I had to make sure as I couldn't believe it). So, my bar is lower at home, When I hang, I have to bend my knee's so I will be at a dead hang and I can't budge. What is up with that????? I thought I was going to cry. My hubby says because I am at such a different angle but I don't understand why I can't pull up. Would love to hear your thoughts on this.

Anyway, yes, I did get the new workouts and I did do all four as made before I left. Now, I want to try some of the premixes.

Joanne

Joanne, you just have to get a bar just like your brothers :+ It is different when you hang lower like that. At least it is for me anyway. I have to hop a little to get to my bar. I try to pause and reduce my momentum before I start. But never mind the semantics GIRL YOU CAN DO CHINUPS!!!!

Hey gang!! It's just me again. Today was PS legs (standing portion) and chinups. Did 7,7,6,5,5,5,4, & 4. Exactly the same as last week. That second set of 7 was hard. The last rep was done with 2 fingers on each hand- LOL grip gave out. I am pleasantly tired now.

Joanne, are ya still trying. How is it going with your bar. You know you can do it now!!!

Hey Briee, are ya hanging???

I'm here, hangin!!!!

I did a 4 mile walk/run today and am hoping for some weight work tonight. 2 chins on the swingset last night :7 :7 :7 while I was out playing frizbee with the kids!! (does that count for anything?)

Joanne..you CAN do one. Try stopping at a play ground and find a high bar like the one in CA and try again. Maybe it is the angle. What I REALLY like is pulling up with my palms facing each other...like on a monkey bars - then ya pull your head up through the bars. LOVE THAT HAND GRIP. I did two one arm pull ups when the youth group was here the other day (ya know these really aren't one armed - you grab your wrist with the other hand - we talked about that a while back didn't we:p :p ).

Have a great day ladies - Catherine, again...your numbers are amazing!! Your arms/back must be getting so buff!!

Briee

Briee, you are such a show off :p One armed pullups!!! I haven't even tried that yet. I'll also have to find me some monkey bars and do that palms facing each other grip one day!!

Joanne, I agree with Briee. It must be the angle you are at that makes a difference. But you are official and now there's no going back!!

I sure hope Soooooooooooosan is doing ok!!

Catherine-I bet you felt great doing those chins for your friend!

Briee-The next time I see a bar at the park, I am going to try it there.

I've been working on them at home and pulling up even though my feet are touching the floor. So, it is not as hard as in CA but .....

Have a good weekend chinsters-I'm leaving town again :D
