(((((((CHINTASTICA)))))))

Catherine - Nice job on the workout! Your Thanksgiving sounds hectic. We will be headed to DH's grandmother's with some of his family as this probbaly her last.

Judi - Whatcha doing?

Okay today was Plyo X had a blast even though my legs were tired and sore. Now get this according to my new HRM my workout was 1 hour and I burn..get this 824 calories!:eek: Come on, there is no way that is possible right? One thing I really love about my new HRM is the chest strap. I did not realize how poorly the Nike chest strap fit until putting this one on and it stays in place as I jump around.

Linda- What kind of HRM did you get? I WANT one like that!!;) I would assume you have all the correct settings for your age, sex etc.... It sounds more like the inflated numbers I get with my cardio machines which is usually double what my HRM shows.

Catherine- Welcome back. Glad you had a relaxing time at the spa.

Today was BBC cardio & legs. I'm on my last week and was planning to start a GS rotation until I read the post about the undulating rotation that Cathe posted using STS. It sounds interesting. I still plan to take next week off of weight training for recovery, doing cardio and yoga.

Any thoughts on the undulating rotation?

I got a Timex. Even if I don't believe the numbers it sure is fun to see!:) It does not allow you to input your age or or gender, but it is made for women so I am thinking they already took that into consideration that I am female.

Judi, I've read on several fitness/bodybuilding sites that undulating is the way to go. I guess it's trendy. Who knows but I like the idea of it. Give it a try and let us know how it goes ;)

Call me crazy but I did Imax 2 with 1 set of risers this evening-whoot!!! My foot bothered me some but not bad. But I loved the sweating!! I'm sure I didn't but I sure felt like I burned 800+ calories :D

Catherine - Nice job on Imax 2!!! How's the foot!

Today was Shoulders and Arms for me as well. I basically increased all of my weight by 1# or 2#. Had a great workout, then was off for a massage. Good news my massage therapist says I am not allowed to do all those up/down dogs in Yoga X tomorrow as he he really did a lot of work on my shoulders.:p

Some people will do anything to get out of Yoga X:rolleyes::p

My foot is a bit sore today, but it was totally worth it :D No workout today- tummy is bothering me :( Hopefully I'll get disc 6 in tomorrow before festivities begin!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING LADIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am still going to do Yoga X tomorrow, just not all those up & down dogs!:D

Sorry your tummy is bothering you today. Hope it's better for your Thanksgiving Dinner!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!

Catherine- Nice work on Imax2!! Glad your foot held up and didn't make you regret doing it:) Hope your tummy feels better tomorrow so you can get in your workout and enjoy your dinner.

Linda- There is still plenty left to do in YogaX even if you take out the up/down dogs:confused: Is it growing on you yet? Hope your shoulders feel better although I get pretty sore if the therapist really works them over.

Today was BBC cardio, chest and abs. Only 2 days left and I'm moving onto something else. I seriously might go insane if I have to listen to that music much longer. Pretty much the same awful soundtrack over and over and over........

BTW, DH got the OK to put down the crutches and has been walking the last few days. Tomorrow is his birthday, big 5-0, and luckily we will still be able to do the B&B on Friday.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!:D

Oh, my therapist has left my shoulders plenty sore.

WooHoo on DH being off the crutches!!! And a Happy Birthday as well. Wow, three for you to celebrate tomorrow!

I managed to do all 90 minutes of Yoga X. Yay me! I replaced up & down dog with Cobra and extended Child's Pose. Oh and I also got some blocks which help a lot. Today did not feel nearly as horrendous as the first day. I am referring to my dislike the first time, although 90 minutes still seemed like too long. Also don't know if I will be able to Tolerate doing the same yoga over and over again, might have to try and find a different yoga to swap out with it. Any recommendations?

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL!!!!!

Hey did P90X Legs & Back today. Pullup numbers sucked and I kept the leg work the same. I'll post the stats tomorrow.

Linda, I'm with you on not caring for yoga. I always feel better when I do it but dread doing it. Even shorter practices. I have used Eoin Finn's Yoga 4 Happiness in the place of YogaX. It's shorter, which is nice. Also it has premixes.

Judi, I hope your holiday weekend is going well!!

Well, as for me I tweaked my back Thursday morning doing disc 6  I finished about 30 minutes and couldn't continue. I know it's my SI joint. For the last two mornings I've had a hell of a time getting out of bed. Literally have to roll out and then try to straighten up to stand :( So I haven't worked out since then. I think I may go back to doing some kettlebells as they seem to not be so aggravating to my back.

Oh and Linda, how is you dad?

Catherine, Catherine, Catherine - What are we going to do with you? You are just falling apart! I sure hope your back feels better soon!

Hi, Judi! Did you survive Thanksgiving?

Today was Kenpo X and I love that workout. It amazes me how high I can get my heart rate although you are not moving all over the place.

And here are my Legs & Back stats from yesterday:

Reverse Grip Chinups - 5 unassisted, 7 assisted
Super Skaters - 25 each side

Single Leg Wall Squats - 1 minute total, 10 second holds each side alternating
Deadlift Squats - 20/side
Switch Grip Pullups - 10 sets w/band using all tube tensions

1 minute break

Three-Way Lunge w/kick - 5 each side going side, 45 degree, front

Switch Grip Pullups - 10 sets w/band using all tube tensions.

I survived Thanksgiving without too much damage food-wise but stayed at the B&B last night and drank way too much:confused: I basically cut out all booze when I started my weight loss rotation (LOL) so it really hit me hard...bed spins, nausea, etc. Felt like crap all day! Now I gotta detox and get back on track. I've lost 11 pounds with 4 more to reach my 1st goal then I'll decide if I want to try for 5 more.

Catherine- Oh No!! Sorry to hear about your back! Good lord girl you have been through the ringer lately:( Kettlebells sound like a good plan for right now. I thought Cathe went kinda fast in Meso 1 which increases the possibility of tweaking something.

Linda- I also have Eion Finn's PY4H and like it when I want a shorter workout. Another good one is Bryan Kest Power Yoga (energize, tone, sweat) each getting progressively harder. Also mentioned often on these forums is Shiva Rhea. If you do a search here for yoga recommendations, you will find many responses.

I finished 4 weeks of BBC and I'm going to take a recovery week with cardio and yoga. I still haven't decided if I'm going to do GS or the undulating rotation but am leaning toward GS since I need a break from STS.

Hey Everyone,

Well once again I am in major project mode. I just have some things that have to be done ASAP, especially with Christmas coming. I am burning the candle at both ends and in the middle and not getting enough sleep. Which not a good way to approach P90X. I am exhausted and am looking forward to recovery week. And I screwed up my right shoulder pretty good. Had a massage last Wednesday and it was feeling good then DH had me do some furniture moving, as in up and down from the basement. Then I have been painting for the last 3 days. The shoulder was down right crunchy during Dive Bomber Push-ups yesterday I had to just quit them.

This morning was Plyo X, had a good workout, but honestly just to darn tired. Workout was 58 minutes and I burned 773 calories. Have a new HRM on the way to.

Here are yesterday's stats:

First number on toes second on knees and for pullups I did as many as I could unassisted then switched to bands for the rest of the set trying to give my shoulder a rest.

Standard Pushups - 25/10
Wide Front Pullups - 4 unassisted/16 bands

Military Pushups - 12/8
Reverse Grip Chinups
- 4 unassisted/10 bands

Wide Flye Pushups - 15/10
Closed Grip Overhand Pullups - 3 unassisted/14 bands

Declined Pushups - 15 - used 4 rises and topper with High Step
Heavy Pants (double arm rows) - 30's/15 reps

Diamond Pushups - 15/5
Lawnmowers (one arm rows) - 30#/15 reps

Dive-Bomber Pushups - 12 reps
Back Flyes - 20's/15 reps

Then did all of this again but reverse:

Wide Front Pullups - 1 unassisted/14 bands
Standard Pushups - 20/10

Reverse Grip Chinups - 4 unassisted/10 bands
Military Pushups - 10/10 on toes

Closed Grip Overhand Pullups - 3 unassisted/14 bands
Wide Flye Pushups - 18/7

Heavy Pants (double arm rows) - 25's/14 reps
Declined Pushups - 18 on toes - used 4 rises and topper with High Step

Lawnmowers (one arm rows) - 30#/15 reps
Diamond Pushups - 10/10

Back Flyes - 20's/15 reps
Dive-Bomber Pushups - 8 reps ( quit this set as shoulder was crunching like mad :()

Linda, that sucks about your shoulder :( You just keep going and going like the energizer bunny though ;)

Judi, are you on the GS now? I can't keep up.

Well, I am out of commission for a while. My back was already tweaked and I slipped (didn't fall) in the shower and it is messed up  I haven't been to work all week. I'm going back tomorrow but will be moving slow. I am just tired of not being able to report a decent w/o to you ladies consistently without whining about something. But thank goodness I have you to keep me sane and motivate me when the time is right. Thanks for listening!!!!

I decided to take a recovery week from lifting so yesterday was Cardio Fusion and today was YogaX....all 90 minutes! OH, I also did CCPP on Sunday after I recovered from my hangover:eek: Got in 6.25 miles on the TM which I was happy with since I haven't run since the last PP workout.

Catherine- OMG...I feel so bad for you:( It seems like you've been hit with one thing after another. Not Fair!! Vent and whine all you want especially if it makes you feel better. Take it easy and hope your back feels better soon. HUGS!

BTW, I decided to do GS after my recovery week cuz I'm kinda burnt out on STS.

Linda- Nice workout and with an aching shoulder too! You are amazing. Hope your projects don't drive you crazy...this time of year is stressful enough with the holidays.
