(((((((CHINTASTICA)))))))

Linda, those are still impressive press numbers

My foot seems ok today, but I am still starving after breakfast and a snack

My recovery week started with CCV7 on the elliptical followed by a long stretch. I had forgotten how hard that one is. Challenge 2 with those ten sprints & hills are killer. Got in 65 minutes and burned 530 calories.

Linda- I heard about Zumba from Cathe-ite BelovedHeather. She takes classes from Shemane Nugent (Ted Nugents wife) who has a number of YouTube videos you can watch. The classes look really fun.

Catherine- WTG with imax2! Glad your foot held up and was only mildly sore. Good luck with curbing your appetite on STS. I could have eaten a horse:eek:

Judi, I don't think Vol 7 falls in the "recovery week" category  Nice job. That's a tough one!! Oh and it's PP this Saturday isn't it??

Oh and it's PP this Saturday isn't it??

OH NO...I have to do THAT second challenge from V7 AGAIN??

Actually I was planning on a tough workout that day because it will be my first cheat meal since I started this diet. Pizza, beer or wine (or both!) and maybe a piece of candy while I'm passing it out to the kids;)

This morning I Kimberly's Combat Surge but only doing the Med Ball and Kickbox segements (skipped bodybar). Workout was 50 minutes and I burned 400 calories.

Today was my second go round with Meso 1 disc 1. I think technically I was supposed to leave my wts the same but I did increase them a smidgen on some exercises. Remember those db curls where you do a full, three quarter, and half (that's one rep)? Well I had my w/o card from last week and the pages were mixed up and I looked at another exercise and it said 15 pounds. I thought to myself huh that sounds heavy for that exercise but went with it. I did 5 sets with the 15 pounds and dropped to 12 for the other 3. Well then I noticed I had looked at the wrong exercise and should have started with the 12s

Judi, how is your hubby doing?

Linda, you really get a good variety in with your workouts!!

Catherine - That's funny on the DB curls.:p I do stuff like that all the time. As far as the variety in my workouts, I guess I have been bored lately so I have been trying all kinds of new things.

I am so hungry right now I could eat my computer

LOL!! I remember that feeling:p I did Yoga X today and it went surprisingly well considering I haven't done yoga in quite awhile. Been running around all day and just got back from my 90 minute massage. It was my treat for finishing STS....apparently I had a few knots to work out:confused:

DH is still on crutches and cannot bear any weight on his leg. He has an appointment Friday with the Ortho so we are keeping fingers crossed that he gets the ok to start walking again. It has really been a PITA!

I did CCV3 on the stationary today. I didn't think about it just came home and did it. It felt good not to have that battle in my head :D

Judi, nice job with YogaX. That one really does good things for me but it has such a dread factor. **crossing my fingers for your dh**

Linda, how long is your TT rotation?

Ahhh, I am finally here. What a crazy day!

Judi - Hoping your DH gets a good report and can starting walking on the leg! Guess I will be finding out what Yogax is all about soon enough.

Catherine - Great job just getting it done! The whole TT rotation is 24 weeks, but i am only doing one 4 weeks segment while FitnessFreak finishes STS. Then it's on to P90X.

Today was TT again today, doing workout A.

Superset 1
1 Legged Squat
8/8/8 - 5's
Bench Press
6 - 115#
6/6 - 110# (could barely do 115# so went back down to 110#, the weight seemed heavier today maybe chest is still wore out from Monday)

Superset 2
Romanian Dead Lift
8 - #135 (this was a mistake, that I quickly corrected, apparently I can't do math early in the morning)
8/8 - 125#
Spiderman Pushups
10/10/10 - BW

Superset 3
DB Step Ups
10/10/10 27's
DB Rear Delt Raise

12/12/12 - 14's

Then I did 20 minutes of HIIT using Disc 26 Plyo Legs, using 8 rounds of the plyo exercises only with a minute rest. Workout was 58 minutes and I burned 432 calories.

No workout today other than taking the dog for a long walk. I was pretty sore after my massage. It was 90 minutes of deep tissue, hot stones and myofacial release:confused: Back on the wagon tomorrow with cardio then yoga again on Fri and CCPP on Sat.

Thanks for asking about DH. I'll let you know how his appt. goes.

Catherine- Nice job with CCV3. Are you doing PP on Sat? I sure hope your foot doesn't give you trouble. How has your stomach been? Did the Dr. rule out the gallbladder?

Linda- I'll be curious to hear how you like P90X. IMHO, the cardio was weak and the leg workout didn't do much for me either. In addition to the strength training, I liked yogaX, core synergistics, and plyo's (although not as tough as Cathe).

Do you think this is possibly the longest thread in the history of Cathe.com??:p

I went to bed finally kinda yucky last night and had a bad night so really did not want to workout this morning at all, but I did anyway. I did Amy's Kickbox Surge Combos & Surges 1-4, but I did not put a whole lot of energy into and modified the surges. And I really wanted to quit at the 30 minute mark my head was beginning to pound. Also didn't help that DH didn't get to bed til 2am so I had to be real quite. Workout was 58 minutes and I burned 390 calories.

Judi - Have to admit I am a bit nervous about all the pushups in P90X. Not one of my favorites.

Do you think this is possibly the longest thread in the history of Cathe.com??:p

LOL!! over 500 posts for 3 people....not bad;)

I did Imax Extreme this morning....now THAT is getting back on the wagon! Burned 583 calories and ended with a longer stretch.

Linda- I've got a ?? for you. I seem to be burning a higher # of calories with my workouts lately and it has me concerned that I may be over-doing things. My heart rate has been peaking over 170 during intervals which is high for me at age 48. Do you have any thoughts on that? I was under the impression that the more fit we are, the less calories we burn so I'm kinda confused on what is going on:confused:

Catherine- Whatcha got going on today?

Hey gals!! I took a rest day yesterday. I've come to the conclusion right now if I can work out 5 days per week that is good. I may get back to doing 6, but when I don't know. I was up most of the night with my tummy trouble. That's the first that's happened :( It's better today and despite the lack of sleep I did Meso 1 disc 3 legs. I upped the wts on some things and left it the same on some others. 1 more w/o to finish my 2 weeks of Meso 1 and then it's on to Meso 2

Linda, can you send some of your will power my way? I hope you are not still feeling yuky!

Judi, nice job on Imax Extreme. I have never even tried that one

Did you all see the Hiit 40/20 pics and description? Linda it looks right up your alley

Oh and Judi I think you asked about my US results etc. The US was negative and I am scheduled for an EGD (upper scope) next Thursday. It's just a precaution to make sure nothing more serious is going on. I am sure my issues are just due to high acid levels and reflux  Although my diet isn't terribly spicy or anything.

Catherine - I did see the 40/20 description, now I just want a shipping notice! Have you found an answer to your stomach issues or are they still trying to figure out was is going on?

Today was Workout B from Turbulance Training.

Superset 1
Pullovers
8/8/8 - 50#
DB Floor Press
8/8/6 - 40's (got more reps this time, but not all of them and last year at this point I did 46's and all the reps:mad::confused:)

Superset 2
Chin Ups
5/3, 5/3, 4/4 (first number unassisted, second assisted)
DB Incline Press
8/8/8 - 36's

Superset 3
Inverted Rows
15/14/12 - BW
Decline Pushups

12/12/12 - BW

Then did HIIT running suicides, doing eight rounds of 30 second work with 60 second rest. Workout was 55 minutes and I burned 401 calories.

Hey Ladies-

Well, not good news from the doctor. DH has another 4 weeks on crutches:( His knee is still swollen and she doesn't want him walking on it since the fracture is just under the knee. He had to cancel a trip to Vegas for a business convention and is really unhappy. There is way too much walking and smoozing and he just can't get around. His 50th birthday is on Thanksgiving and I booked a B&B for the next night and we will probably have to cancel since it is up three floors with no elevator:(:(

Anyhoo, I did YogaX again this morning then took the dog for an hour walk.

Catherine- I'm glad the US test came out negative. Good luck with the scope test....keep us posted.

Linda- Nice workout! 8 rounds of suicides?! Do your kids have their Halloween costumes? What did they pick?
