(((((((CHINTASTICA)))))))

This morning I did Amy's ITR Great NRG Mix. It included combos & intervals 1,3 & 4. Workout was 52 minutes and I burned 408 calories. My legs are really tired, must be those Plyo workouts.

My stupid HRM is still losing all the it's data since I changed the battery. Only difference now is it is happening more often.

Hey Ladies-

I did LIS/HIS double cardio this morning and am looking forward to finishing the last disc of STS tomorrow.

Linda- Those plyo workouts seem to affect whatever I do the next day:confused: OUCH!

Catherine- Whatcha been up to?

Hey ladies. Today was a rotten day. I had another headache while I was at work. I could tell it was gonna be bad so I popped a couple of excedrin and that did a number on my stomach  :( So today turned into a rest day for me. Tomorrow is another day :D Actually I am getting an ultrasound of my gallbladder tomorrow. But I fully intend to w/o after that ;)

Linda, I can not imagine that plyo legs would make your legs tired

Judi, how does it feel to almost be done with STS the second time around?

Judi - Wow, I can not believe you are finishing STS for the second time already!

Catherine
- Ultrasound on your gallbladder? Are you okay? Sorry about the headache again, hopefully is won't reoccur today!

Today was TT again today, doing the workout from Monday again (workout A).

Superset 1
1 Legged Squat
8/8/8 - 3's
Bench Press
6/6/6 - 105# ( this still seems easy)

Superset 2
Romanian Dead Lift
8/8/8 - 125#
Spiderman Pushups
10/10/10 - BW

Superset 3
DB Step Ups
10/10/10 26's
DB Rear Delt Raise

12/12/12 - 13's

Then I did 20 minutes of HIIT using Disc 35 Plyo Legs, using 8 rounds of the plyo exercises only with a minute rest. Workout was 55 minutes and I burned 453 calories.

(And yes, I even did those awful one legged squat thrusts:p)

Linda, nice job with the w/o. Are you like the plyo legs??

I am doing ok. Just getting these tummy issues checked out. It's an up and down thing. Sometimes I'm good other times I'm miserable with it. This explains my inconsistent workout patterns for the last month or so. The US tech said she didn't see any gallstones and everything else looked ok. Once the doc gets the official report we are supposed to schedule a scope to look at the stomach.

Catherine - Yes, as sick as it may seem, I love Plyo Legs, especially doing it as HIIT minus the weight work.:D Hope they figure out your tummy troubles. I have just been written off as having IBS, which is no answer, and you just learn to live with it!

Oh Judi, where are you?

Oh Judi, where are you?

HERE!!:D

I finished STS this morning and am looking forward to a recovery week. After that, I've decided to try out my Barry's Bootcamp series. I got it for Christmas last year and never used it:confused:

Linda- Can't say I love plyo legs except for when I'm finished:eek:

Catherine- Hope everything checks out OK with your gallbladder tests. So, is the doctor thinking something other than an ulcer? Sure hope you get an answer soon so you can start feeling better.

Linda, you are an animal :p

Judi, you'll have to let us know what you think of Barry. I saw an infomercial on BBC once and his voice was so annoying I don't know if I could tolerate it.

After sitting on my behind all day I finally got up and did STS disc 3 legs. I always feel better after doing it.

As far as the stomach issues go. I still think it's just gastric irritation or an ulcer. The scope is just to make sure it's nothing more serious. For some reason the surgeon that I saw wanted to check out my gallbladder first. Even though my pain is on the left and the GB is on the right  Oh and Linda, I have IBS as well. This is different- or I guess it could be a different variation. My IBS always acted up when my endometriosis was active. And I haven't had trouble with that in a while(thank goodness).

Judi - I have BBC I think somewhere along the lines I have done it once. Not a go to workout set for me.

Catherine - I'll keep you in my prayers that they find whats bothering yoru stomach. Way to go on getting a workout in!

Happy Saturday ladies!! I am happy to report that my workout is done!!!! STS disc 2 back and triceps. I was able to match most of my wts on the workout card. Went higher on some and had to go lower on some. I don't even want to talk about the chinups. I think I got out 3 on the first round and after that it was all band work :( But it's been over a month since I've done any.

BTW Linda, nice job on that bench press yesterday

Linda or Judi- did either one of you get the versagripps or whatever they are called? I am thinking of getting some but wanted to get some suggestions.

Catherine - Nice job on Disc 2. Yes, I have versagripps and love them! I have the classic.

Okay, I decided to try something different today, so I tried Zumba. It was fun, but only 342 minutes so I added 2 segments from 10 Minute Solutions Hip Hop something. The Zumba dvd was way better than the 10 minutes solution, as the 10 MS broke thing down way too much so it was hard to get your HR up. This is good for learning the moves but would really be a damper when you know it. Workout was 54 minutes and I burned 423 calories.

Happy Sunday- Well, I'm taking my recovery week to a new level as I have done NOTHING, except walk the dog, since Friday and it feels great! I plan to start back tomorrow with cardio M,W,F and yogaX T, Th. After that week, I will try out BBC and let you know what I think. I'm hoping it is similar to Cathe's 4DS with cardio then weights. Not normally my favorite way to workout but maybe it will shock my body into dropping some more weight.

Catherine- WTG on disc 2!! Yes, I also have a pair of the classic versagripps and they really came in handy during Meso 3. I believe in training the forearms but when the weight became so heavy that my forearms were giving out and affecting my ability lift, I used the versagripps. BTW, I like your new avatar!

Linda- What Zumba dvd do you have? I think it would be fun to try it. Surprisingly, dancing really can work up a sweat. I used to do DDR with my DD and it got me sweaty & winded sometimes:confused:

Judi, so how do you feel after doing STS the second time around? I think your rest week sounds perfect!!

Linda, your Zumba sounds interesting.

I am gonna repeat week 1 of STS Meso 1. I guess I'm thinking of doing a 6 month rotation but I am noncommittal :p

I went out on a limb today and did IMAX2 on the step with no risers. This one is surprisingly modifiable. I think because it's so intense the pace isn't as fast as some of her other step routines. Anyway the foot did ok. I admit it's a bit sensitive and sore. I am beginning to wonder if I just need to work through some discomfort to get it better if that makes any sense. I think I'll try adding in something different here and there and see how it goes.

Ok, I forgot how freaking hungry STS made me. It's Sunday night almost 10 and I am so hungry I could eat my lap top!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Catherine - How's the foot feeling today after IMAX 2? Good Luck controlling the appetite.

Judi - I think you rest week sounds great! Wish I could convince myself to do that! As a personal trainer people are always asking me if I have done Zumba or know anything about it, so I thought it was time I checked it out. So I had rented Zumba Fitness Power Rapido.

Today was Workout B from Turbulance Training. I am really starting to think the Pullovers in the first Superset are affecting my Chest Press numbers. You have an option to do Pull-ups or Pullovers, and a year ago I did the Pullups. However this time through I did not feel like doing Pullups, Chin-ups and Inverted Rows all in the same workout, so I choose the Pullovers and now my Press numbers are down (in this workout anyway) In the other one my Press numbers are great!:confused:

Superset 1
Pullovers
8/8/8 - 48#
DB Floor Press
8/8/6 - 40's (got more reps this time, but not all of them and last year at this point I did 42's and all the reps:mad::confused:)

Superset 2
Chin Ups
5/3, 4/4, 4/4 (first number unassisted, second assisted)
DB Incline Press
8/8/8 - 36's (Last year I did 40's at this point, tried them but wasn't happening:mad::confused:)

Superset 3
Inverted Rows
14/12/12 - BW
Decline Pushups

12/12/12 - BW

Then did HIIT cardio using Disc 29 Plyo Legs, do eight rounds of 30 second work with 60 second rest. Workout was 55 minutes and I burned 431 calories.
