Oh, I didn't doubt you for a minute. But I do have to question Cathe on having someone trying to lift 60% by the end. Either they will be hurt trying or frustrated and depressed when they fail. Me I just tried to choose a weight that would challenge me for the required number of reps based on how I was feeling at that point. Because I did not and will not do 1RM calculations.

I agree Linda. I learned to resolve myself that as the workout went on that my load would have to lighten a bit. Or I'd do drop sets. Start with one weights and quickly drop down to the next if I couldn't finished.

Ending up doing that a couple of times this morning myself, when I thought I was tougher than I actually am. :p

But I was shaking during the stretch, so I know everything was worked well.
 
I did STS disc 3 legs. Modified of course ;) Oh my, I am feeling it in my backside already. It's gonna be interesting tomorrow :eek:

Going to stay at the shore tonight and spend the day at the beach boardwalk with the family. Loaded some cardio coaches in case I get inspired to run in the morning.

Chins after a week off

No chins last week, but did 8(3)/4(4)/3(2) unassisted followed by assisted w/ Iron Woody thinnest band. Then did a set of 6 incline chins on Total Gym. In 2 weeks I want my first & best set of unassisted to be 10!

Will be doing pushups later with Perfect Pushups handles.

Nice job!!! Nice goal too- you are almost there.

I am embarresed to say I can not remember when's the last time I did a chinup or pullup :eek:
 
I did BM2 double upper body premix :eek: I forgot how tough that one is. My shoulders suck :confused:

I plan on doing something on the stationary bike tomorrow. So far the foot seems to be better after the injection. But I haven't done anything that should aggravate it either. This weekend I'll do something like Low Max and see how it goes.
 
Back from a mini one day vacation. DH took the day off work so we slept at his grandmother's beach house Monday night and rode the boardwalk on our bikes yesterday morning and spent the rest of the day at the beach.

Did however manage to run on the beach yesterday morning using CC2 revised. And let me tell you I am not a runner. Workout as 50 minutes and I burned 522 calories.

Linda, I got a chuckle out of "pullups were impossible at this point" IIRC at that point I grabbed the bar and went no where :confused: So it was all assisted for me that first week. I did work up to doing a couple unassisted later :D
 
Catherine - It was humbling to just do 2. But hey, on the bright side Cathe was doing inverted rows at that point not pullups.:D Does STS reuse the same footage from disc to disc when the exercise repeats?

Yes, there is a fair bit of recycled footage within the Mesocycles with STS. They do a really good job puttiing it all together seamlessly though.

I did CCV1 this evening and added an extra sprint challenge.
 
I wokeup this morning with DOMS in every inch of my back from Disc 2 yesterday.:D

This morning was cardio and I did 4 DS HIS/LIS cardio. Workout was 1:01 and I burned 461 calories!
 
They don't change outfits. They wore the same outfit each week for the entire mesocycle.


Oh, because all the clips I watched for Disc 1 they were wearing pink, then on all the clips for Disc 2 they are wearing blue. So on Disc 2 where they are doing Straddle Pushups just like in Disc 1, it is the clip from Disc 1 with them in pink.

I'll have to check when I get home. But IIRC those clips even though they are on the Disc 1 card aren't necessarily form disc 1 or Meso 1. The reused footage is practically undetectable except that you will notice the same comment or look etc. So I am pretty sure their outfits don't change either. Either that or I am less observant than I thought :eek:
