Just thought I'd start a new thread. The other one was getting a bit long. I may repeat myself a bit. I did a few pullups today 5 sets of 2. I really need to work on these regularly. When I was doing pulls more my chin numbers where better.

Have you all seen the new blog pictures   }( }(

Hello ladies!

I'm back. Yesterday I did Super Callanetics. Was a little sore so I tacked on Stretch Max 2. Love those stretches over the ball.

Today I finally did Upper Body Plus. I loved this workout! A little bit more of an endurance workout. I liked that he incorporated balance work in this. The shoulder blaster and everything shoulders really fried my shoulders. I also liked the frog pushups. I did 2 pullups and one chinup today. I feel like I came a long way with my pullups with this rotation. I've now done all the plus workouts except for Total Body.

I'll be here tomorrow but then might not check in for a few days. I'm going in search of my new house. Wish me luck!

Catherine - It was only 11 degrees this morning. I can't wait for a warmer climate. I also can't imagine doing all the upper body work fron P90X. I'd never finish!

Joanne - I just took one lesson. It was a girls outing from the office. I don't know how many regular classes I'll take but I do plan on getting a few bellydance DVDs (like I don't have enough DVDs in my collection).

Briee - Great leg workout. You won't catch me getting a squat rack anytime soon. I'm one of those who likes ballet/barre type workouts. Heavy leg workouts really bulk my legs.

Marcy

Marcy, good luck with your house hunt!! And good job with pullups! I agree that X+ upper body is more endurance, but it's a good change of pace. I like the way Tony alternates his exercises!!

Hi Briee and Joanne!!

I just finished heavy upper body and I am ready for bed LOL!!
We are getting snow and ice tonight :( Not happy about the ice!!

Cathernie-hope you are feeling better. Does it snow there very often? I am thinking that it doesn't.

Marcy-good luck house hunting. Are you moving far or staying in the area (sorry if I missed that)?

Briee-looks like you are going to get more snow. It keeps missing us-seems to stay to the south.

Oh yea-chins-I did do one today.

I've been doing the 4 day split upper body - I love it (I didn't think I would ever say that about working out with weights). I've been mixing up my cardio. I can't wait to start running and biking outside. It is just too cold to go running.

Joanne

Joanne, we don't get snow here very often at all. So any little bit is disabling lol!! My tummy was just a temporary problem yesterday, thank goodness. I think it was related to some high dose vit C that I took to try and ward of DH's flu!!

I love 4ds upper body!! It really is tough, but good!!

Looks like you gals up north are staying cooooooooold!!!

Joanne, I am running out of clever title names so any suggestions would be great ;)

Briee, snowboarding still? No more head injuries I hope!!

Marcy, how's the house hunting??

Yesterday I did SP&J step combos x2. Today I did PS Legs-standing portion and chinups. I did 4 sets of 5 chinups. Finally, consistently doing sets of 5 again. I looked back and on Dec 27th I did a set of 7 and then it was down hill from there!!! Oh well, no use dwelling on the past huh?

Hey Chinsters-

Today, I did Cardio & Weights (cardio and leg premix). I also did two chins (not in a row).

Catherine-you are doing great with those chins :D

Joanne

Calf Raises 140#: 15, 15, 10 (up 10# and additional set of 10)
Bulgarian Squats (2)10# DBs: 12, 10, & 8 (had to go lighter on these legs were fried }( )

OK, my legs are screaming from yesterday's w/o }( Cardio the day after heavy legs is probably not ideal :+ But I did it anyway :7 I did IMAX2 intervals 1-8 and did pullups after the blast recovery. I did 2 sets of 3, 2 sets of 2 and 5 single sets to total 15 pullups. I really need to keep at this twice a week thing either chins or pullups. I think it really helps me get my numbers up better.

So Ladies,....anyone else doing anything exciting????

Hey you guys!!!! Okay, before I do anything..I better go check out that blog that you mentioned a million times up there - must be REALLY exciting!

Have been doing well with workouts and yes lots of snowboarding. Went again last night and am going tomorrow night as well. I'm having more and more fun all the time. LET IT SNOW LET IT SNOW LET IT SNOW. (and it is;) ;) ) I will be gone for 4 days so will be a while before I get back here. Have a great week ladies.

Briee

I'm telling! The blog looks to good to be true. I can soon quit raving about the P90X and possibly get back to being a Cathe monogomist. "I can't wait" is an understatement.

Briee

Catherine-you are so funny. I do agree, it is nice to have some new "friends" to work out with-WOW!

Briee-How can you go out and play in this freezing cold weather? I tried to take a walk the other day and turned around after about 10 minutes.

Joanne

Hi Ladies!

I'm back from house hunting in GA. We found a really nice one. It's a 4 bed/2.5 bath brick home with a level fenced yard (which is very hard to find in GA - it's very hilly). I will finally have my own workout room (the biggest bedroom besides the master is 10 x 13.5 which I think should be enough room). I was driving my DH crazy asking him to measure each bedroom we were in (and it was a lot of bedrooms since we saw over 30 homes). We're just negotiating the contracts right now. If everything goes well, we'll be down there sometime in April. We hated to come back to NY (it was sunny and 65 this weekend near Atl).

I'm very excited about STS (especially the guys and the pullups!) I haven't pre-ordered yet. I'm one of those waiting for the last possible second before the price changes.

I did Total Body + today for the first time and I really liked it. All of the plus workouts were great. I did 6 chinups today. I thought Total Body was a little light on the biceps. I'm actually feeling some DOMS in my glutes right now. Also, I was really feeling the sumo squats into chair. I like that this was mostly bodyweight stuff. It felt good not to drag out endless weights and keep changing them.

Marcy

Marcy-that is so neat that you will have your own workout room! I was looking on the web yesterday re Savanah GA. Is that anywhere by you? It looks like a really cool place.
