Yes we have two threads going on because I just couldn't let the other rest. You know how hard it is to kill a good chinup thread.

Or maybe it's because I'm behind on chinups from Monday and need to do two days worth.

Or maybe it's because people can't get enough of chinups!! Yep, I'm sure that's the reason.

I'm going to be doing those...gulp...chinup negatives in a couple of hours. But I don't have any donuts and can't remember the last time I did - oh my - therein lies my problem (along with long skinny arms).:+
 
You can do "donut visualization techniques". Actually these are the much lower calorie version. I do them all the time. You don't think that I eat donuts everyday do you?? (true confessions). I just make you think that I do.:p :p :p

You DO have long lean arms girl! But I guess anyone who is 6'5 and 105 pounds would have long, lean arms!! :7 :7 :7

Let's set the record straight - 5'7" 115# (or 5'8" I forget) and if I flex, I actually have shape (biceps and triceps) in those arms.

And don't try to pull the donut visualization foo-foo over my eyes; I know there's nothing like the real thing. I, bless my heart, need to gain a little.}( But funny thing is a few years ago I did become overweight and had to work hard to lose it and now my body has reverted to the high metabolism I previously had. Yeah, nobody wants to hear it.:p
 
Honeybunch...I just noticed your response to Toasty. I continue to believe that Chest and Back P90X has give me the most results of any other workout (at least in the chest and back area). Pullups, pushups, pullups, pushups. Just do it!

I think we should go back to every Chin-Up Check-In thread that was ever started and post in each one so they'll continuously be at the top of the OD forum.

There are probably endless other ways we could wreak havoc on this board.:p :p }(
 
Baawwhaaaahaaaaa, sabotage the site with chinup check-ins. We'll have groupies coming out from under rocks.

I'm done. As I sit here crying from bicep tremors, shoulders twitches, and pulsing lat muscles I report: negatives - set #1-10 ct. down, #2-8 ct down (those 2 were after warm up before weights), then after back before shoulders set #3-8 ct. down #4-5 ct.down.

After completing GS/BSB I considered another attempt, but when I looked up at that bar my biceps just laughed, no REALLY, I HEARD my biceps laughing at my thought. However, I did a couple sets of lat pulldowns instead.

I just finished P90X chest and back.

Chinup wise: sets of 11, 10, 4, 5,
4 wide front pullups, 5 close grip pullups, 2 close grip pullups, 1 neg. wide pullup - 10# - 8 sec, 1 neg chinup 10#, 10 sec....I should be sore tomorrow night!

Wide front pullups are evil, I don't know how Lauramax can do 3 sets of 10 - in my dreams maybe.

I love chinups, I love chinups, I love chinups ....AFTER THEY ARE DONE.

Briee, great job!! Ya know on the wide front pullups my DH tried them with a thumbless grip and said they were easier. (ya know keep the thumb on the same side as the fingers). I watched Tony doing his and sure enough that 's what he was doing. Not that that is gonna help me or anything with those x(
