Where are you people?

OMG, just saw the steel donuts in 04/16 thread. Briee will have to go to the dentist after trying to bite into those.:7

I will be back to the negatives this afternoon. Hope everyone has a "strong" day.

Ya know, X posted that this morning and I didn't even pay attention to the fact that she put 4/16. So I just assumed it was today's check-in.

I am on my recovery week, but I am sure that I will do a few chinups with you ladies. Goal is to hit three by the end of the week!!

Melody, good luck on your negatives today!!

Oh, sorry about staring 2nd thread. I just thought X's 04/16 was from Sunday. Will be more alert next time, at least, I'll try.:7

Hello Hello,

I'm going to work on them later today. Just wanted to say that I am so happy for this check in. My bar was installed about a year ago. Until this check in, I hardly used it.

Joanne

I needed this check in just like you Joanne. Really helps me to be accountable.

X...maybe if you put sprinkles on those steel donuts??

I worked out Sunday morning and did chin's 10 1/2 (just couldn't get that last one all the way up), 6, 7, 7, and then did negatives with 10# weight added and then a couple with no weight. I did these throughout Chest, shoulders, and tri's P90X, I'm super sore today, but I think it's due to the fact that I didn't drink my normal recovery shake post workout. I was late for church and zipped out and didn't eat for another 2-3 hours. I CAN'T believe how sore I am today. Not sure if I'll do more tonight. We'll see. Keep that protein goin through the days girls!!!!

Thanks for starting the thread Melody!!!

Briee

I thought X's post was from today as well. Donuts (especially steel ones) can be very distracting.

We just got back from a rainy, somewhat chilly day at Busch Gardens. They have a new promotion for VA residents called a "Fun Pass." The cost is one full-price admission and can be used until September 4th, so it's like a season's pass only half the price. The Easter Bunny was much more generous than usual this year and brought the whole family Fun Passes, so a rainy day wasn't a total wash-out (no pun intended).

With the busy Easter weekend, I haven't worked out in three days! I'm doing PLB tomorrow and chin-ups/PUB on Wed - maybe I'll have come back stronger.

No chin-ups or pull-ups for me today...my back is still sore from yesterday. Tomorrow is another day though!

Hey ladies. It was YogaX for me tonight. Before that though I gave my bar the good ole collage try. I did 3- well sort of. I know the die-hards won't count the last rep, and I shouldn't but I'll take it as improvement. What I did was 2 and then at the bottom of the move of the 2nd I adjusted my hand grip, but I ever so briefly rested my feet on the chinup bars that are incorporated into my power tower. Then from a dead hang did my third.

Soooooooooooosan, sorry your day was rainy :(

Briee, I sooooo agree those negatives are hard!! Your's are even harder with that additional wt. WTG on your progress!!! I also agree with you that this check-in has kept me so motivated.

Oh Melody, where are you hun? I just know that new bar is calling you :+ :+

Catherine

Here I am, Catherine, to report my pitiful but attemptful afternoon. In my defense I will say I did my negatives AFTER completing GS chest/tri - 4x with negative 6 count, 1x with negative 4 count. Previously I was doing negative 8 count, but that's ok.

I will attempt again on back day which is Thursday, I think (can't quite remember by new rotation). Hey, I did CM segment 1 also, does that count for something?

Briee, negatives with a 10# weight?! I'm not speaking to you.:p

Good work ladies. I'll check on you tomorrow.:)

Melody, I am impressed doing those after C&T. My arms are usually quivering after that one }( }( So You go Girl!!

I think my long, skinny arms are just too ignorant to know not to attempt those after GS C&T. And believe me, my arms are still quivering.

Catherine, I would definitely count that third chin-up! It's not like you rested for 30 seconds. I see nothing wrong with adjusting your grip in between. If you were doing a set of 8 reps of bicep curls and took a second to adjust your grip on the last rep, would you count the set as having had 7 reps? Anyway, it sure didn't take you long to get to 3!!!:) :) :)

Melody, I never attempt these after an UB workout because my arms would give out on the first try. I'm impressed too!:)

That kitty should be our mascott!!!! How cute!!!

Soooooooooooosan, I take it you aren't speaking to your pet squirrel Rocky :+

Catherine

I guess just to you, Joanne and myself.:p (I forget if X can do one.)
