Chia Gel

Just got a Camel Back belt for longer runs and I have a couple little bottles for gels. I know some people make their own gels using chia and the only thing I can find online is just chia and water.... bleah! Does anyone make their own gels using something with a little more flavor? Maybe that water with a little fruit flavor in it?
 
I'm experimenting with lemon & lime juice and some agave nectar to taste--pretty good, plus it's light & refreshing.

Before I got a gel bottle, I tried putting a small amount of chia in my water bottle. Yeah, big mistake. I thought the seeds would be small enough to not get clogged--nope.:eek:
 
I make a pre-workout/pre-race smoothie that would convert nicely to a gel if made in smaller quantity with more chia (as-is, it does thicken if I let it sit for too long before finishing it):
frozen banana
coconut water
goji berries
chia seeds
sometimes also a scoop of Vega Sport Performance Optimizer


I've also drink chia in water with a squeeze of lime (which I prefer to lemon) and a bit of stevia. Stir and let sit a few minutes, then stir again.
