:::: CHEETAHS :::: Wednesday

Back one more time today Cheetahs!

I just did Power Max! Oldie but goodie I must say! Gotta love it!

Gayle - How was your oldie but goodie today? Hope you enjoyed it!

Cathy - Thanks for my picture trail comments! I knew you ladies would love to see the Hawaiian paradise that I just visited a few weeks ago! I missed you ladies while I was gone for those 2 weeks!
Cathy - Love that classroom! What date to you start? We go back after Labor Day!

Maria - How is your DH's b-day going so far? I am sure the cake came out wonderfully! Enjoy it with your family! :)

Kristi - How is DS enjoying school? I bet he is happy and loves his teachers and new friends! How are you holding up as a mom? :) Someday I will know how this feels!

Shelly - You are hardcore - running and then doing the workout DVD! Love it! I should try this. I think I will do premixes of Cathe after I do a run. That would be one great workout! Good luck!

Jess - It is good to have you back! I noticed you were off for a bit. Glad you are doing well! Check out my new Picture Trail that I just posted this week (so proud of myself! pathetic, but I am no good at technology!) if you get a chance! Hope your girls are well!

Laura - chocolate and red wine - every girl's dream food I would say (or at least mine!) ha ha
How is your 20th wedding anniversary going? Putting on that wedding dress yet? Wow! I just had mine preserved. I never see that fitting onto my body again! ha ha!

Take care all, will be in touch later after work.

Have a great Hump Day and great workout!

Amy :)

Jackie- This is the first summer since 1999 that I have not played in a tennis league. But in the indoor season we just rent a court for the season and play doubles. Six women share the court so we play 3 weeks out of four.

Laura- you put on your wedding gown every anniversary? HOW SWEET!

Jess- hope the internet situation improves. I noticed your absence, but with 3 kids... it is expected

Cathy- Your classroom looks quite comfy :)

Shelly- Your workouts are amazing!

This morning was a 6 mile run. I pushed the pace for quite a distance, and took two 1 minute walks on some steep hills. DS just called and signed us up for a 12:40 t-time. I guess I'm golfing instead of cleaning this afternoon!

Hey gang - We are some busy Cheetahs this morning! ;-)

Both DS and DH were still sleeping this morning so I hope the birthday is going good.

I have decided to leave at lunch today (maybe earlier) and get out of here. I am in serious need of some R & R.......I can't stand coming to work here anymore so that must mean I need a break (even for an afternoon). I'm going to go home and finish getting ready for a rummage sale I'm co-hosting this weekend and then get a haircut and go out for DH birthday. I need this that's for sure. Oh, I'm also hoping to get a good hike in, too, maybe getting back to nature and some fresh air will help clear away all my frustrations.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Marcia.

Good morning ladies,
You guys are a chatty bunch. I feel pretty rested today and am finally feel I have my house back in order. I have a chiro appointment this morning and then I am doing Circuit Max. I am really excited about seeing my dad tomorrow and the girls can hardly contain themselves.

Cathy, the girls LOVED their poodle purses. They have named them and have put their fake lip gloss in them. Great job on the classroom. It makes all the difference having it look the way you want. As a parent I have always loved the effort that some teachers put into their class. Enjoy PUB and your run!!!

Marcia, have fun at dinner. I have a hard time being a good girl at restaurants. I would love to put a face to a name, so post a pic with your new do
:)

Kristi, I used to LOVE Dr. Pepper. After many years of drinking that and rootbeer, I gave it all up and now just drink ice tea, green tea and water. It is boring, but I feel a lot better. Enjoy L&B.

Christine, have a good run! BTW, my girls and I would LOVE to meet Jimmy as you mentioned in a earlier post. It would be fun to visit with my cheetah friend too:) Someday we will have to plan that.

Jess, Yes, I am trying to get my girls ready for school as well. They start on the 28th. I just have to get them a few more items to wear and then new shoes. I am really excited for them, especially my little one going to Kindergarden. It will also be nice to have some quiet time.

Shelly, that is quite a workout you have planned. I can still picture you with a big smile on your face and ready for more after Cathe's classes:)

Gayle, I have not done step fit in years. I do still do step works though and I find it tough!

Carole, Have fun with Muscle Max upper body and your run. I did MM last night and it can be pretty tough. I definitley go heavier with the shoulder work. I am going to start my walk/run workouts on Monday. I need to get fitted for shoes first. I will be a true cheetah again,YAY!!!! I will never be able to catch you and shelly though;-)

Laura, welcome to the forum. That is funny that you put your wedding dress on every year. The last time I put mine on it fit everywhere but the back. It is all those upright rows and lat raises. Have fun with Muscle max.

Amy. ooh, powermax is a fun one. I don't think I would ever have the patience to be a teacher. I am in awe of you and Cathy for picking that as your profession.

Jackie, Yes, I am ready to start running again. My ITB is doing well and the back is good, so I will introduce running next week. I will definitley ease back into though.

Hello to all that follow. I am off to the chiro and then I am taking the kids swimming most of the afternoon. It is finally warm here again.

Cheers!

Susan

Well, it’s official. I signed both DH and myself up for the Rock N Roll Half. Found out a lot of my friends are doing it, so it should be a really fun time. Carole – if you want to sign up, use the code “SWEET” and you’ll get an additional $20 off the cost.

Jess – sorry to hear about your Internet Issues! I hate losing connectivity. Round 2 of P90X? Wow!

Gayle – I love Wild Hogs. My DD14 is a huge John Travolta fan, but I adore William H Macy, especially in that role. Have fun with Step Fit and Core Max 3!

Carole – Scrapple *shudders*. You do not even want to KNOW what’s in that stuff. There’s a reason it’s called “SCRAPple”… It’s mushy and grainy and oh my, I don’t know how people eat that stuff. My apologies to any who actually DO like it. Enjoy MM UB and your run! Sounds like a good one!

Laura – Happy 20th Anniversary! What an accomplishment! I’m in awe that your wedding dress still fits after 20 years. Nice testament to your dedication to stay in shape. Yeah, we are not built like teenagers any longer – thank goodness! By the way – WELCOME! I’m an “old” member, but I’ve been absent lately. Now that I’m running again, I’m here for encouragement! And I love both Cardio Coach and the iTrains. The iTrains are like nothing else for running!

Amy - I’ve heard good things about Power Max. How’d you enjoy it? Glad you were able to sleep in.

Jackie – Jimmy enjoyed his run as always. He was a bit of a pain this morning, but he simply has to get used to running. He was all bright-eyed again. Then he promptly fell asleep (he was in Doggie Day Camp all day yesterday). A tired dog is a good dog! :p How was iTread 21? Great job doing ARX (aka Hip Flexor H*ll) after a run! Happy Hump Day to you, too. So glad it’s not Monday or Tuesday!

Marcia – I swear, you are the busiest lady I know! Do you ever actually sit down? LOL. Enjoy your day!

Judy – I did your PP/SS Upper Body Blast and went heavy. Oh my! I was soo sore the next day. Thanks! Enjoy golfing!

Susan – name the time and place and we’ll all get together. Maybe we could meet at Santa Row for some decadent dessert of some kind? You’re also always welcome to my place. I would love to meet your girls and even your DH. My DH is always up for socializing. Enjoy the Chiro – I LOVE Circuit Max. I mix that one all up with other workouts.

Well, I guess I should go pretend to have a job! Good to be back ladies. I’m feeling really good after my runs. Nothing like an early morning run to get the endorphins flowing, even though GS Legs Floorwork did kick my booty.

Jackie- Great job on your run. What is ARX?

Marcia- I hope you enjoy your dinner with your DH. Make them embarrass him and sing ‘Happy Birthday”:)

Susan- I put my dress on, and sure enough the back is where it is snug. I’m afraid it’s fat not muscle. I’m happy it zipped and I was still able to breathe and walk around though:). I might need to rethink the chocolate dessert at our dinner tonight however.

Judy- Have a great golf game!

Christine- I am anxious to learn more about itrain. I got the website and am going to read the information.

How do you all put a picture of yourselves in an avatar? I am pretty computer challenged and can’t seem to figure it out. Also how does picture trail work?
I promise I will stop asking so many questions… well pretty soon anyway:)

Laura

Laura -

Picturetrail is a free web hosting service. You can create and account my going to www.picturetrail.com. It's pretty easy to do so.

To have an avatar, go to the forums page (the one that lists all the forums) and click on "user menu". Then click on "profiles". You can add a link to an avatar there. The photo must be hosted (meaning that it has to be on the internet). You can create a picturetrail and host it there, or you can go to www.imageshack.us and upload an image, then copy the link at the bottom and paste it into the profiles avatar section. Does that make sense?

No worries about questions - that's how we learn!

Marcia - Hope you enjoy the afternoon off work. Still sounds like you have a busy afternoon ahead of you.

Susan - Enjoy your time with your dad. How long will he visit? Glad to hear you're ready for a good run. I'll share some of this heat with you. Supposed to be 106 today.

Judy - My sis is a tennis fanatic. She will be playing in a tournament (outside) when I visit her next month. Good run today. Hope you enjoyed your golf game.

Christine - The HM should be fun running with DH. Good deal to save $20. Can you believe the fee for the Road Race Series I signed up for is only $65 for 10 races? Thought it was a bargain. Glad Jimmy got to take a nap, poor baby. I didn't actually do iTread 21. Just wanted to see what Grace had in store for me. Sounds like a real butt kicker and will probably do it next week for my speed work.

Laura - ARX is Ab Ripper X. It's a tough ab workout from P90X with Tony Horton as the instructor. Ask any question necessary. Everyone here is so helpful.

Sunny - Where are you? Missing your posts.

Have a good afternoon everyone.

Jackie

Hi all.

I have exactly 5 minutes before I have to head out the door to go to work for the SECOND time today! UGH! I worked the morning shift and am now going to be covering for a night shift person. YUCK! lol

I did ISculpt #8 today. The exercises were great but the cueing stunk which made the work out hard to follow and therefore not one I'm going to want to be reaching for all that often. x( Hopefully #6 is better. I'll find out next week!

Okay...I'm outta here...I hope to get back here after work to catch up on personals before I hit the hay!

Have a great evening all!

Hola, cheetahs… :) :) :)

Wow. Four pages of posts. We’ve been busy here today!

Kristi :: when I did the X, I found that my weight fluctuated throughout…in the end, I don’t recall how many lbs. I lost (not many ~ but I’d have to look it up), but I do know I lost inches and saw changes in the progress pics. So don’t freak out if you think it’s not working at first…When is your birthday?

Marcia :: I just feel so bad that they had to move all my stuff under those conditions!…hope the time away from the office helped you unwind & recharge.

Christine :: *lol* no more naps under the desk ala George Costanza!…great workout today…very cool that you’ve got a group to the the RnR Half…that always makes a race more fun…ITA about scrapple. Ick…Glad the running is going well…this lower body rotation I’ve been doing calls for leg work on some running days, and it sure does spank ya…but I love it. I will probably go for a third round of it…BTW, we are really glad to have you back!! It’s just not the same without you.

Jess :: sorry your computer’s been down. That’s never fun.

Carole :: I think Saturday and Sunday during the RT were low-humidity days…I’m sure we have some more scorchers in store…you know, the kind of day where the scrapple (road kill) fries itself right on the road…From what I understand, the original publisher opted not to go with the OJ book, but a new publisher working in tandem with the Goldman family is going through with it. It’s just insane…hope you enjoyed MM + your run.

Laura :: I teach 8th grade language arts…I am already thinking my project for next summer will be to repaint the putrid pale yellow walls!…That’s fantastic that you can still wear your wedding dress…I peeked at your picture trail ~ what a photogenic family you have. We oughta rename this thread “Cheetah Hotties” ~ ha ha.

Amy :: We start the day after Labor Day, too, and have two days without the kids…So do you do a pullout reading program?

Jackie :: *lol* about the kids being tempted to nap. They know better!…I have committee work next week, so I’ll go back in then…Great workout (as usual)!

Judy :: big calorie burn today!

Susan :: glad the girls enjoyed their gifts…thanks for the kind words re: teaching. I had a chiro adjustment today, too…she thinks she may have worked my cervical spine a bit too hard on Monday and that set off the migraine, but she also suggested my caffeine consumption may be the trigger. If that were truly the case, then I would have them all the time the way I guzzle the stuff. Would you believe she wants me to be completely caffeine-free by next summer??? Hello. Not in this lifetime.

Wendy :: oh no! A double shift! Yuck. I was wondering where you were today. Whoever you covered for owes you bigtime!

Well, I think that catches me up. Hope I didn't skip anyone. Oh, BTW, I opted for PUB up only + abs this evening. Have a great night!

Well work was as lame as could be! I made lousy tips and had only a few kids. B-O-R-I-N-G!!! Thank god I worked with someone I could have a decent conversation with. I had to be alone for the last hour though and spent the last 30 minutes with NO KIDS! The plus is that if no kids are in the place at 15 minutes of closing then we can leave early so I bolted at 8:45! :)

I'm not gonna do personals tonight. I am about to hit the bed. I'll catch up in the morning since I'm not working.

Night all!:D
