:::CHEETAHS::: Wednesday

cathy- i was born in jersey and we moved away due to my dad being in the military. we moved back when i was 17 and was there up until 3 years ago. would you believe in all that time i never knew cathe's gym was in nj:( . the workout is by jeanette jenkins. i will be doing that workout today because i missed my classes:) ...long story.

judy- so sorry to hear about dd misbehaving. however it seems as though you and dh are awesome parents and are handling the situation. i kinda dread my boys becoming teenagers.

amy- great run today!! so when are you going to get a garmin?}(

susan- you are an awesome person and such a wonderful friend!

i truly wish i was going on the RT to be able to meet all of you wonderful ladies...sigh

I whole heartedly agree Amy. I want to go on the Roadtrip to meet up with the cheetahs too! We will have to live vicariously through their cheetah pictures. Meeting this great group of ladies would have been the highlight of the roadtrip for me. Meeting Cathe would be a bonus. Maybe we should consider one of the ideas Cathy mentioned earlier this year about planning a cheetah get together somewhere in the middle, maybe Chicago. How nice would that be if everyone could make it? Just a thought.

As you might notice I have a lot of downtime at work right now and I'm very bored. Well my boss just showed up. I'll check back when he leaves again. That should be in about 20 minutes. LOL

Hey Ladies!

Odd of me to check in for the first time so late but I was feeling a tad anti-social this morning. Must've been the "first day back to work after vacation blues" thing going on. :-(

I just finished my work out though so I am feeling better. I did Cardio Sculpt Express and 6 Minute Abs. I felt like a bit of a slacker not choosing a tougher upper body work out for today but I have a feeling training for the HM is gonna take it's toll on me so I don't want to push TOO hard too fast and end up quitting. If I go too hard on the weights I'll be too tired to do my run/walk work outs 3-4 days per week! Besides, I upped the weights used so I made it more "Cathe-like"!;) }( :D

I have to go get myself either a protein shake or a cup of java and then I will come back for personals.

Sunny: Yes, I read your post about the PIT work out but I am still confused as to what kind of work out it actually is. Is it kickboxing??

Amy: Which HP book are you reading? I am forever reading #4. I feel like I'll NEVER get to the end at this point! LOL

Jackie: I did 6 minute abs too. It's a tough little ab work out! I wish I could discipline myself to get all of my work outs done early but I know that is not gonna happen! LOL

Susan: Yowzas you have to get up early!!! I won't see you until Saturday evening but have fun meeting the Cheetahs in the meantime!

Judy: Glad your DD is wanting to behave. I hope she sees it through.

Kristi: I will keep my fingers crossed that your DH comes home early!!

I was the same as you with the Harry Potter. 4 took me forever but now I am reading book 5 after seeing the movie with DH who is a huge fan of HP!!!!

I have not read Harry Potter in about 3 years. I am trying to get back into it because it is interesting!

Just a quick pop-in to wish Carole, Shelly, and Susan smooth flights. Will see you at the airport tomorrow evening. I'll be double-checking with the airport to verify arrival time, and you have my cell # if you need to reach me. We can decide on where to go for dinner after you get checked in and settled in. Everything's right within just a few minutes.

Absolute K'boxing (premix #3) done. First time I did this one I had to use a broom (my 18 lb. body bar was WAY overshooting it) and enjoyed the workout but didn't feel it like I did today. I'm sorry I waited all these months to try it again, but you know how that goes when you have too many w/outs to choose from. Today I used an unloaded barbell, and I'm pretty sure my core will be feelin' it tomorrow. For anyone who likes k'boxing but hasn't tried Spreen before, this is a good one. She's friendly, her cueing and form are excellent, and the moves are fresh, esp. those using the weighted bar. I went to get a sip of water at one point and my hands were shaking. The only thing I don't *love* is the chaptering...it's fine enough but it doesn't quite make as much sense to me as the way Cathe does it. All in all, though, a great w/out.

I promise I will catch up with personals in the AM.
