::Cheetahs::Wednesday::7/25::

christine- YAY!! so nice to hear from you. glad you are back:) :D :7 . thanks for the info re: the shoes. i definitely felt the difference today using my spin shoes! i am with you, i get bored doing the same stuff over and over. it's fun to switch things up.
how is jimmy doing?

Hey Sunny - glad you're enjoying the shoes! Jimmy is fine. He was attacked by a dog in our puppy training class Monday night - so I was afraid he would become dog fearful, but he was happy as a lark at Doggie Day Camp yesterday (yes, he's a spoiled guy). He's just exhausted. So, he's at home right now, fast asleep according to my DD14. :p

Hey cheetahs-

Just ate lunch and am relaxing for a bit...KM will follow shortly. I want to use my Garmin to calculate the calories, but I have to figure out how to configure it for non-running activity.

Carole :: enjoy your workout & tonight’s dinner. Will you be hosting the big party this weekend?

Jess :: poor Hannah…sounds like a call for ice cream!…That’s exactly why I picked up You on a Diet…I’ve always been fascinated by the human body and how things work…and plus some of the recipes in the back looked pretty good, too.

Jackie :: *lol* about the rain dance…it reminded me of how my dad (who’s an avid gardener) used to do a rain dance on top of the picnic table when we were kids. *lol* Oh yeah, he’s a character. But oddly enough, it always worked…I am feeling back to normal today, thanks! :D Those iStrengths do sound interesting…I have managed to avoid returning to that site for now.

Gayle :: holy hell! Leg presses with 47 lbs.??? That is unreal!…I purchased Eat Clean Diet a few months ago and promptly returned it to the bookstore as it contained the same exact info as the Oxygen Clean Eating special issue, which is just plain shady. I no longer read the magazine, either -- I find it to be one big advertisement for itself.

Sunny :: oh, man – that hold pattern is pure EVIL! I need to take your class! :) I'm weird in that I really like getting hollered at.

Christine :: Great to see you post!…see my above post to Gayle for my comments on Eat Clean Diet...Go ahead and nap – install yourself a little alarm clock down there and you’re set.

Good morning ladies,
I am chugging green tea this morning. I sometimes wish that I was a coffee drinker so I could get a caffeine rush. But, I can't stand the taste of it(LOL)!

We had fun at the movies. They have free movie Tuesday and we saw Over the Hedge. It was really cute and the kids really enjoyed it.

Today, I am getting a massage and I will have her work on the ITB area. I did all of BM2 and I did have to put on the ITB strap about 20 minutes into it. It's funny, I always thought that running would be the only thing to aggravate it, but it is anything that involves a knee lift. I am going to just keep foam rolling it and stretching. I have no more glute pain or sciatica though, thanks to my wonderful chiro:)

We are going to spend the day at the pool today. There is nothing better than being in the pool with my girls. They are just like puppies in there.

I will be doing Muscle Max upper body only and 40 minutes on the elliptical.

Hello to all my cheetah friends and I will try to get back here this afternoon. The kids get very antsy when I am on the computer a lot;-)

Have a great day!

Susan

Good Afternoon Ladies!

I am going to post personals while I mull over which work out to do and then I need to hop to it cause I have to start packing after that!

Shelly: I've never taken a work out dvd on vacation before b/c we usually stay in hotels and such where this is no dvd player as well as no room to do the darned work out anyway! LOL Since we are bringing the portable dvd player for DS I figure I should jump on the chance to bring them just incase. They may even have a player in the condo-who knows!? Don't worry...I'm packing all summer clothes so they are light! Don't need big muscles for that!;)

Sunny: Yikes about almost having to bust your new spin shoes! That stinks! I am still pondering buying a pair...Now that I want to quit the free membership thingy I won't need to take a weekly class so I don't know that they are worth it as I probably won't take 'em with the regularity if I know me. When are you going to test out your new garmin?

Cathy: Is there a CF close enough to warrant a visit during the RT!? }( Speaking of which...we need to coordinate for that when I get back! It's the very next weekend after I return from vacation! It sure came up fast!:7

Carole: Have fun with B&B. I always had a tough time with that work out. It KILLED my biceps! YEOW! Hope you can make it to dinner tonight. What kind of food are you in the mood for?

Jackie: You go with the multiple vacations per year! Wish I could do that!}( Glad you enjoyed the IStrength work out.

Christine: Thanks re my running progress. My farthest run to date is still only 6 miles but I am going to work on that!}( Glad you are enjoying spinning. You are a Cheetah of many talents I see! I like spinning but it's sooo tough for me. It's gotten a tad easier since I had been going to classes once a week for about 3 months straight but that is about to change again...oh well!

Susan: Have fun at the pool!:)

Later babes!:7

KM Low-Impact K'box is done (I inadvertently referred to it as the KM TS earlier). Evidently, you can't track calories through the HRM indoors. Or at least I haven't figured it out! Oh well.

Susan :: enjoy the massage - hope the ITB feels good afterward.

Wendy :: yes, there is a CF not too far...I would say it is about 15 minutes from your hotel...it is just up the road from a pretty nice mall...wow, I am not ready for August yet! Is it almost here already?

I'm back and I ended up doing MIS upper body and abs. WHAT WAS I THINKING!?!? :p Holy yeowers that was painful! LOL I tried like heck to keep up with Cathe's weight selections but usually ended up not doing as many reps or lowering the weight selection part way through the set. Atleast I made the attempt though, right? ;) That ab section is a real burner as well! I think I see some DOMS in my future!}(

I am trying to decide what work outs to take with me on vaca aside from my ITrains. I was going to take 2 kickboxes but I think I want to vary it more so I'll take KPC and something different. I have P90 Masters UML in front of me now. I *think* that's all body weight exercises if I remember correctly. Anyone know for sure? I could take Barry's Bootcamp full body...I know that is all body weight but I won't have a step with me. Hmmmm...what do you ladies think??

Cathy: Oooh the call of CF...and you know they carry Corona there too, right? What a perfect match! LOL }( Yes...it's almost August. Crazy, aina'? I don't know where the time goes...heck, at this rate, I am going to blink and Joey is going to be a friggin' teenager! AAAAHHHHH!

BBL!

I had a few minutes. Thought I would see what you lovely Cheetah ladies were up to.

Jess - Hope Hannah feels better. Poor baby. Cute about your step being used as a runway.

Gayle - Great job on the 47 pounds for PLB! You go!

Sunny - iStrength #14 didn't have sprints. He alternated between weight work and cardio drills. One of the drills was walking sideways on the treadmill. I'll have to look for the one with the sprints.

Christine - Great workout! You should be tired. :) I need to change things up occasionally too. iStrength 14 uses free weights and a barbell. Easy to do at home. Glad Jimmy didn't let the attack scare him.

Susan - Hope you enjoyed the massage and your workout.

Cathy - I tried using my Garmin for non-running activities too but couldn't figure it out. I figured I needed the shoe pod. Your dad does sound like a character. :) That's good he makes you laugh.

Wendy - Are you ready for some fun? Get that packing done girl! It's easy to go on vacation when I only have to worry about me. One of the perks of getting older. Glad you enjoyed your workout. I don't own that one. If you decide to take BBC, just modify where you can.

Have a good evening everyone!

Jackie

Wendy :: *lol* on the Corona & cheesecake! Whatta combo! :D...Oh yeah, the word "August" has the power to strike terror in a teacher's heart!

Jackie :: I guess it can't intercept satellite signals indoors and that's why it won't work? Too bad. But I still have my Polar F5, so it's all good w/ me...Yeah, my dad's a pretty funny guy...I'm lucky in that I am close to both parents.

Jackie: I've decided to take both BBC Full Body *and* UML so problem solved!;-) I'm also taking KPC. FUN!}(

Cathy: Oh my, I forgot about the teacher thing! YIKES, I understand completely! Just like June strikes fear in the heart of the parent of a school-age child!:p

Wendy :: Ha...:D...you know, it's not that I don't want to see the kids (although I admit I do welcome -- and need -- a break in June)...I am just getting nervous that there is so much planning to do before September and time is moving quickly!
