Cathlete
Good morning, cheetahs! :D

Am up early to beat the heat. Today'll be PUB (I think I'll do an up-only premix ~ I'm on a premix kick!) and a run. Last night, I wound up making a spur-of-the-moment workout switchup - did the KM drills + a Squeeze lower body mishmosh; BC has been moved to later in the week. The new cross-trainers felt great.

Carole:: sorry the tooth is giving you some sinus issues: :( ...take it as easy as you can.

Wendy :: I meant to tell you ~ I am going to train as though I'm doing the half and will see where I am/how I feel in a month. My next rotation (which starts on Monday) will continue to work lower body pretty hard, but it also is an increase in mileage, which I wanted to do, anyway, so it works out well.

Marcia :: I just recently added CTX to my library, and though I haven't done any of the step workouts, I have to say I was seriously impressed with how tough those short workouts are!

Have a great day, everyone! BBL~

Good morning all - a quick check in before I head to the basement for some step and kickboxing.

Cathy - I just can't wait until we start the rotation on Monday. I was able to keep the rotation just about like it originally was, there wasn't many of the workouts I didn't have. I did sneak Squeeze and more running in, though, too. ;-)

It is AGAIN so humid that my windows are fogged up and I stuck my head out and WOW I could barely breathe - YUCK! I wish it would just rain, we need it so bad anyway.

Well, off to workout in the cool basement ;-)

Marcia.

Good Morning Ladies!:)

Let's just say that I can feel every single muscle in my lower body this morning!!!}( B&G must've really worked!;)

Today is X chest and back and ARX so by tomorrow I may not be able to move!:p :7

Cathy: I have the same plan that you do. I am going to give myself about a month of training to be sure about the half since we have until the beginning of September before the price goes up again. :)

Marcia: Have fun with your next rotation! :)

Hey All:) Slept like x( last night, doing some mental chewing and stewing...hard to turn the head off sometimes. Anyhoo, I've had good runs (8K) and good rides (30K) this week. Today I think I'll grab CardioFusion and do some B&G ball abs. I gave my notice at the clinic which went...okay...it's awkward as I'll be working with the chiro that left the clinic last month. I'll see my bookings through until the end of the month.

(((Carole))), I was cringing reading about your dental woes, I feel for you and am hoping that you get through it with minimal discomfort.

Cathy, you make me laugh:) You sound like me, I have to see which way the wind is blowing before I can make up my mind about a workout. We don't need no stinkin' plan }( :+ Enjoy PUB.

Marcia, sounds like you've had a long run of yukky weather, enjoy that cool basement.

Wendy, so which training schedule have you decided on. Sorry to be late and asking questions you've already answered but where's the half? So B&G did the trick on the lower body hey?!}( I love that workout!!

I'd better caffeine up and get down with Cathe:)

Take Care
Laurie

Good morning lovely east coast cheetahs, Cathy,Wendy,Marcia well,
Marcia isn't on the coast, but you're in the Eastern half of the country anyway;-) I'm wrapping up a night at work, not too frantic:)
I'll be doing a BBC treadmill workout when I get home, probably the one from Chest&Abs. After my nap I'll get in the Arms&Abs+Cardio.
Maybe I'll get in another BBC TM workout in the evening... we'll see how the old stamina holds up.

Cathy- So, you're also contemplating, maybe possibly a HM? You can totally do this girl! Think how impressed your students will be when they hear you've completed a half marathon!!! Glad you got some new crosstrainers that work for you.

Marcia- It always makes it so much more fun to do a rotation with somebody. You and Cathy have picked a good one!

Wendy- Going for the total body DOMS????? }( }(

Susan- Great to hear from you!!!! That is great news about being pain free yesterday (with regards to the ITBS) I think that's a very encouraging sign that the healing has begun!! You'll be stepping with the rest of us at the RT:7 :7

Carole- Here's hoping that you have a more comfortable day!
I've been told by a few dentists and technicians that gum disease is
definitely a genetic trait.... not very fair when you're already doing all that you canx(

Hi Jackie,SunnyD, Laurie, Kristi, and any other fabulous cheetah that pops in today.

Hopefully I'll have time to check in later!

It was so muggy out there, I opted to run first…glad I did...put in 3 sopping wet miles…and am thinking of just taking a shower now and doing PUB in the PM. Why not? Then I don't have to rush to get my chiro appt.

Marcia :: that’s great that you don't need to sub too much!..Besides not having all the DVDs and wanting to run more, this time around, I was looking for some more variety, too.

Wendy :: enjoy C&B and ARX -- and your DOMS. You leave for vaca tomorrow, right?

Laurie :: *lol*…Cheech!…yeah, I do like to deviate from the plan at times…glad you have the notice behind you…hoping the next two weeks pass quickly!

Shelly :: enjoy your many workouts today!…I have run a half before, so I know I *can* -- just don’t know if I am up for it right now. :) Try to impress 8th graders?? I wouldn't even try! *lol* But I will say my students seem to be most fascinated by my skydiving experience. They always ask a ton of questions and want to see the video.

BBL!

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...I have been finding premixes fun too. Enjoy PUB. Glad the crosstrainers are feeling good. Today is much better as far as pain for me.. I just look like a chipmunk on one side...:)

Marcia...I have spent a lot of time in that dentists chair, and I must say in comparison an Oral Surgeon is way speedy, besides he will put me under and before I know it, it will be over. Enjoy your step and kickboxing.

Wendy...B&G does seem to bring on the DOMS. Have fun with P90X C&B and ARX.

Laurie...Sorry about your sleepless night. Job changes can do that. I think yesterday was the worst. I have not taken any pain pills since yesterday, just keeping up on the antibiotics. I am just a bit swollen on that side but the pain is minimal. Enjoy CF and B&G abs.

Shelly...my Dad did have gum disease and had dentures by the time he was 57. I have not had any gum problems as I am diligent about that but these other weird things?...today will be much better. I am swollen but there is not much pain...:)...Enjoy your BBC arm and TM workout.

I am doing P90X B&B and a very easy run. I slept great last night and today woke up to rain!!! The cool weather is a blessing...:)

Have a great day...

Good morning everyone!

Sunny - I like iTread 20 60 min. It wasn't too much different from some of the others. She starts with a warm up and then gradually increases the speed in phase 1. Phase 2, she does some hills. Phase 3 she gets into sprints and Phase 4 is just a steady state. Depending on what I feel like I'm usually between the jogger and runners pace. Hope you enjoy your Garmin. You go girl on training for that tri and HM.

Shelly - Glad you got to sleep in yesterday. Wish we could get some of your rainfall here. We desperately need it. iTread 20 is the newest. I'm following Hal Higdon's training schedule for a half and he has speed drills or a tempo run once a week. I'm following half of the half schedule right now. In August, I'll start the real training for my half in November. Hope you enjoy your Garmin too. DBF even wants one now and he only walks. Did you have a good workout today?

Wendy - Hope you can get out of the required class for your gym. I don't think it's an unreasonable request at all. Will you download the iTread Walking workout? Your schedule looks good. DOMS is good!

Susan - Yay for you and no pain with the step! They have a short segment in Shape's August issue about foam rolling.

Cathy - The roller did feel good on the bums. I have a tennis ball here at work too. I'll sit on that sucker and roll around on it. I have to be careful because if someone walks by, they'll wonder what in the world is she doing. :7 My bum is still sore from All Body Attack. Glad you like your new CXT.

Carole - I do the Sonicare, flossing and 6 month cleanings too. The most pain I've ever had is when my wisdom teeth were trying to grow in and couldn't quite make it. Had 3 of them taken out. Glad you're feeling better. Thanks for the encouragement on the Road Race Series. I figure if I put it out there, then I will have to be accountable.

Laurie - Enjoy CF. I guess when all this running is over, I'll get back to some of my neglected workouts. Hope things aren't too awkward at work for the last few days.

I did a 5 minute warm up on the elliptical. Then, I did speed drills and got in 5 miles. I did about 20 minutes of iStretch #10. I think Grace moves too fast through some of the yoga poses. So, I skipped to the last 10 minutes of the workout and it was much better. One day I'll do the whole workout to see what the middle is like.

Happy Hump Day!

J.

hey ladies,

quick check-in today, i did a 4 mile run this morning.

no time for personals. will try to check back in later.

have an awesome day cheetahs!

Quick, but 'silly' question, eating clean will give me more energy, right? Isn't that one benefit? :)

Thanks, Marcia.
;-)

Okay, my anal-retentive attitude about my work outs is starting to kick in! I didn't worked out today cause I am just sooo sore from B&G yesterday so it zapped me of any motivation and energy for today's work out. Only problem is now that I am pretty much OFFICIALLY out of time to exercise, I am freaking out about how to get all of my work outs in now that I have thrown my schedule all off track.

I'm such a loser!:p

I COULD do the work out tonight after dinner but I know that I won't want to...

marcia- it definitely does for me;)

wendy- you are crazy:p . glad things are under control. ok, i think i've narrowed it down to the hal higdon intermediate HM program (THANKS JACKIE!)i am going to use. i just found out our local fleet feet is going to hold a HM training starting next month. i am going to look into that also.

gotta go...
