Happy hump day, cheetahs :)

I feel kinda groggy this morning...I stayed up later than usual to watch ABC's special report on the VT shootings. So heartwrenching and disturbing.

Today will be Core Syn.

Susan :: (((HUGS))) I'm so sorry to hear about Mary's news...let's hope for the best, that it's in its early stages and she'll be able to beat this thing.

Heather :: I find that sometimes if I'm coming down with a bug, I feel a little fatigued. Hope you can nip this one in the bud. Good job on the healthy eating. That's such a big part of the battle!

Enjoy your workouts today, cheetahs!
~Cathy :)

Good morning,

I have circuit class tonight, can't wait I'm gonna work em' hard and get back on track }( I suppose I should warn them all huh??

Otherwise, not much........walk at lunch, too.

Take care,
Marcia.

Good Morning :)

Cathy- We have been watching and listening to everything about VT too. I keep thinkg it could have been any campus and it gives me the chills. There are stories within in the big story that tug at my heart, like the 76 year old professor who barricaded the door to save his class and lost his own life. Being a parent of college age kids...this just sickens me.

Susan- I will keep your friend in my prayers. Hopefully she will have a decent prognosis. You are a dear friend. My friend Michele, over i the haters thread, also has a freind recently diagnosed wih BC.

Heather- I applaud your healthy eating! keep it up girl!

Wendy- Judging by your pictures, I have to say the X really works for you!!!!

Hi to Carole, Jmarba, Linda, Shelly , Christine, Marcia, and Kristi :)

Today I will do the ankle weight section of L&G and a 4 mile (not interval after yesterday's Cardio coach) run on the TM This is my 4th week of Gym Style upper body. I am unsrue of what to do next week. We have next week and then a week in the carribean. I think I need a break form GS but don't know if I should do endurance weights or circuits for a week and then recover (but still run) on vacation. Any suggestions? (I am still trying to hit my legs endurance/light weights style 3-4 times per week)

If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail.

Good Morning Cheetah-Babes!:)

Cathy, I only watched a little of the VT news coverage. It makes me sick to my stomach. What *REALLY* pisses me off about these types of things is that the gunman kills innocent people and then himself! If you are that unhappy, just kill yourself and leave the rest of us alone! If they kill themselves afterwards out of fear and cowardice of facing what they've done and having to suffer the consequences then that burns me up even more! UGH! Sorry...that's been bothering me since Columbine!;(

Marcia, Have fun kickin' their butts in class tonight!}(

Judy, Have a good TM run today. Do you listen to music when you aren't using CC? I know some people watch tv. I couldn't do just that...I don't like TV enough. It wouldn't keep my interest. I listen to my ipod for music or workouts at the gym and then the tv just serves as something for me to rest my eyes on. :)

My plan for today is a run, ARX and Chest and Abs weight work. I am working the first shift this morning so I'll have time to run right after work is over. I'll do ARX and C&B once DS is down for his nap.

Thanks to all for the compliments regarding my X results! It's so nice to know that I am not imagining the results! LOL ;) :p :7

Have a great morning...I'll be back!;)

Good morning Cheetahs! Today will be a great day. (If I keep telling myself that then it will happen.) My office manager finally comes back from vacation. YEAH!! The end of last week, the weekend, and the past two days have been so difficult, but now it seems to be settling down. Yesterday the ENT doctor was able to fit Annamarie into his schedule. Luckily her eardrum was not ruptured. She has a really bad ear infection. During the night it got even worse than the day before when I took her to the pediatrician. Anyway, the doctor suctioned out as much of the infection as he could. The inner ear could not be seen due to the infection totally blocking it. In any case, it is not completely gone, but he did say she should heal faster now. I'm so relieved it was not something more serious. When I picked her up from daycare she had blood all on her shirt, even though they were constantly cleaning the ear.

Today will be a 4 miler. I haven't exercised since Sunday's run. It is so hard to believe that next week will be a really easy week before my HM next Saturday. It is quickly approaching.

Here are a few personals:

Susan - I'm so sorry to hear about your friend having breast cancer. She is very fortunate to have a wonderful friend stand by her through this horrible ordeal. I'm sure she realizes what a gem she has in you. ((HUGS)) to you and your friend.

Wendy - Your pics are so inspiring. Great job with P90X.

Marcia - Your HM is this Saturday, isn't it?

Hi to all Cheetahs! I should have a little more time this afternoon to pop back in and write more personals.

BBL!

Good morning cheetahfriends:) It was a tiring day yesterday and I ony did one workout:eek: Took all my "kids" to the vet, did the laundry,
caught up on bills and managed to squeeze in a nap before work.

Susan- From your initial description of your friends problem I was afraid it likely was Ca. However, it sounds like it is the localized pretty much to the ductal area which makes for a pretty good prognosis, especially if it is in an early stage. The cure rates in these cases ( and I said CURE,not just remission) is pretty dang high... about 75%, so your friend (and you) have good reason for hope. Kudos to you for being there for her:) Glad you are progressing well with your running!

Cathy- Have a great Core Syn day:eek: I remember coming back from my long run on Monday am feeling so high and then hearing the news about the Vtech massacre.... pretty much shot my good feelings. It's just so incomprehensible. I wonder if there will be alot of increased security now for you and others who work in a school environment.

Marcia- Oh, your poor circuit class  they are in for a world of hurt...... but the good kind!;-)

Judy- How's the weather for you now? I hope winter is starting to lose it's grip for you finally! I'd say switching to more endurance based leg workouts would be a good choice for you... I'm thinking along the lines of B&G.

Wendy- I got to chime in with the others here on your pics... you are one buff babe... great job! You have a busy workout day planned!
BBC Chest & Abs is another challenging one.

Today will be a 30-40 minute interval run when I get home. This afternoon will be a total body endurance type w/o, maybe PH?

Have a great day everyone!

Kristi- Hi there! Glad to here your DD is out of the woods so to speak and that you'll finally be getting a break from work. The HM is approaching!!!!!! You've been putting in some great training and I know you'll do well:)

Hi All –

Tired Cheetah again. It was DD18’s birthday yesterday (she turned 18), so we all went out for way too much Indian food. Then with all the comings and going of her and her friends – they kept waking up Jimmy who was curious about everything. So not much sleeping for me. Oh well. One of these days. Tonight will be a nice relaxing one – just Jimmy and me – DH is out to a business dinner and DD18 is working. Not sure what I’m doing today – probably a circuit workout.

Susan – so sorry to hear about your friend! I’m so glad she has such a caring friend. You’re right, Susan – life can be very unfair. After reading what Shelly said – I’m praying for a thorough cure.

Cathy – It is heart wrenching and disturbing. I do feel horrible for the families that lost their loved ones so senselessly. I’m with Wendy – why not just kill yourself? Why take everyone with you? So needless. Enjoy Core Syn!

Shelly – I stopped taking vitamins as I heard that it’s better to get them from foods and that we’re all really fooling ourselves by taking supplements when we really do not know how those supplements really work and interact with all of the other drugs. It made sense, but, I guess the proof is in the pudding as they say…. PH eh? Hmmm…. I’m too tired for a tough cardio – maybe PH would fit the bill…

Marcia – Nah, don’t warn them – let them find out the hard way!! *grins evilly*

Judy – it could have been anywhere. I hate that our kids have to deal with such uncertainty in their lives. College should be fun and relaxing. My DD18 goes off next year. I’m worried, too.

Wendy – you hot mama you!!! Those X pictures show wonderful results! Thanks for finally freeing them. And believe me – you look great.

Kristi – I’m sooo glad you’re finally getting some relief. Poor little Annamarie! Glad her ear drum didn’t rupture, but I’m sorry she has such a bad infection. It must simply kill you to HAVE to be in the office when your sweet little DD is hurting.

Well, I am no longing fighting off an energy crazed puppy (he was jumping all over me). He’s now asleep at my feet. Love that those bursts of energy are short lived. DD14 is really enjoying her trip – they visited the Apollo Theater yesterday and saw The Color Purple. She thinks New York is a very interesting city. But she’s having a blast. Me? I can’t wait for her to be home. I miss her!
Enjoy your day Cheetahs!

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...I watched the 48 hour special on the VT shooting. I can only imagine how scary it would have been to be there. I feel so sad about the ones killed. Your post yesterday is exactly how I felt watching John and his team mates. One of his teammates was going after to ball before it went out of bounds, and he was flying down the court...he tried to turn away and tipped his chair right into the stands at my sisters feet. Thankfully he was okay just a very sore arm. I heard one of the other players "Van" (I think he is like the coach) telling him that his determination was great but considering the score (they were ahead) and that it was coming to the end of a period it was not worth getting yourself hurt. But they seem to get so into the game...amazing.

Judy...I would do some endurance work after GS. And if you do circuits most of the weight segments are endurance based.

Wendy....thanks for sharing your pics! You got some great results and yes, more definition! I am with you on the VT shooter...why in the world did he have to take so many innocent lives. Enjoy your BBC workout, ARX and the run.

Christine...sounds like your DD18 had a nice B-day, I bet you do miss your other DD14, but good to know she is having fun! Enjoy your relaxing evening. I posted a pic of John on yesterdays thread and have a few more on Picturetrail if you would like to see some...:)

Kristi..you have alot going on! I hope your DD's ears get better soon. Good job on the 10 miles!

Susan...I am very proud of John. And of all these guys. It was so amazing to watch and see how well the teams works together...I am glad your back is getting better! 4 miles!! Way to go....that BM2 upper is a tough workout. I am sorry about Mary's cancer. As others have said early detection is a positive thing. She is in my prayers.

Shelly...way to go on that 14 miler! Negative splits make you feel so accomplished. Thanks! John is quite buff in the upper body. And for this sport you do need strength in that area. Good idea to lighten up on the workouts before Sat's race. Enjoy your interval run and maybe PH...:)

Heather..great job on the clean eating. I hope you get thru this bug soon..

Laura...thats for the compliment on John. He is a cutie...:)

I am doing GS C&T, abs and a 4 mile run. Floor legs if I have time. Have a good day...:)

Good morning ladies!

Carole - Hope John will stick with it and build up some callouses too. He is a handsome guy. Enjoy your workout.

Kristi - How's dd feeling today? Sorry you're having a hard time getting to spend the time needed with her. Good job on the 10 miles!

Shelly - Glad to hear you were happy with the 14 mile run! Wonder if I will ever want to run that long. Don't think it was fair of dh to ride while you ran though. LOL!! How are the legs?

Susan - It's so nice to hear that your back is feeling so good. How many times a week do you see chiro? Good job on that run! So sorry to hear the results for your friend. I know you will provide as much support as you can. I will continue to lift her up in prayer.

Marcia - Sorry you're having a hard time right now. Maybe you need a change of pace. I liked the Lean Rotation when I did it. It was some grueling work though.

Wendy - Like the BBC rotation? Your pictures look great. I can definitely see the changes. ITA about the VT tragedy.

Cathe - You mean your students don't think you are one hot teacher? How are your students dealing with the VT tragedy? Such a horrible thing to happen to so many of our young.

Heather - Glad you slept better. I can't make it without 3 meals and 3 snacks a day and I still feel hungry at times.

Judy - I thought the coverage they gave the professor was good too. It was really courageous of him. Hope you have a good workout. I vote for endurance workouts.

Christine - Happy BD to dd!! Hope she had a great one.

I did iTread #15 for 7 miles. It should have been a tempo run but this one worked just fine. It was an endurance run with some sprints and hills. Think I needed that extra push from Grace too. I finished up with the bonus stretch from SuperCharged Sculpting.

Have a Happy Hump Day!

Jackie

*slaps forehead* Carole! I saw that photo yesterday and meant to tell you that I LOVE the photo. He's such a handsome man! I would have enjoyed watching that game. Good for him! How's he doing?

Jackie - the iTreads are tough, aren't they? Good job on getting it done!!

I ended up doing Judy's PP/SS Upper Body Blast and I feel great. Of course I did some of it with a nose in my ear and quite a few cocked heads, but that's okay. He's discovering that if we leave him for a bit we will NOT disappear forever, so he doesn't whine all the time, which is great. He's in the garage with Kimo right now. I actually get to take a shower solo today! YEAH!

I sooo needed the workout today. I feel human again. I guess I should actually pretend that I'm still working at my company for three more days!! I need to spend today getting everything cleaned up, PO's printed and files exchanged. I'm soo excited! And I'm feeling more confident about leaving the pup alone for a few hours at a time, so I'm not as worried. He did well - no whining at all according to our neighbor - last night when we went to dinner. He just HATES being locked up - he's fine if he's free, so we're leaving him free with Kimo in a puppy-proofed area.

Maybe, I'll even be able to do a puppy-less post! Wouldn't that be amazing? :p

Enjoy your days Cheetahs!!!
