Hello again fabulous cheetahs! I finished the bootcamp lowerbody premix.... awesome workout!! I also tacked on the calves workout from LIS.
Wendy- Wow, you are turning into a racing maniac there cutie pie!!
That Turkey Day race sounds fun to me!!! Okay, what my idea of fun is you can take with a huge grain of salt;-) But seriously, I think you are more than up to this and it will add a whole new dimension to your running. Yes, in general, trail running is harder... but alot more interesting and fun too! Also, you are still just aiming to finish so don't sweat it! I knew a lady at my recent Man against Horse race (25 miles up and down a mountain trail)
who had no real running background at all but was in good shape. She competed and walked the whole way and had a great time!!! It will NOT be too much for you I'm quite certain!! My thoughts for what they are worth.
Lori- Wow, that former running partner of yours sure is persistant!!
That's a shame she is putting a stress on your running lately and I sure hope she gets the picture soon and figures out you want to run by yourself for now. I'm with Wendy re: food and running. I very rarely run or work out on an empty stomach, even if it's only a little bit. It's especially important for runs lasting over an hour.
I think your 80+ minute run is stretching it a tad to not have any fuel source on board so to speak, but if you're feeling good I guess it works for ya! Great job on that run BTW! Oh yes, a marathon is 26.2 miles to be exact. So our Wendy's recent fabulous performance on the half marathon was 13.1 miles!
Kristi- so glad your DD is better today! Hope you got in a good run. Those olympic marathoners are awe inspiring aren't they??
Christine- What!! You don't like my all time fav DM????
I just love those straight out athletic nondancy drills}( I think Cathe really takes it to an art form with the 4DS bootcamp!! You'll love it!
Wendi- Great job with the DB Leg workout today. I think that's a great workout to get in a few days before your race... great prep!
I so look forward to hearing about your race!! Crossing my fingers for a nice rainy day for you!
Carole- Wow, JC let the vet shave her belly??? That is one MELLOW kitty you have!! I really loved the BC lower body circuit today!
I'm loving how heavy Cathe is going on this new series. I have to admit I do use the #30 dbs on the triceps extensions, but I certainly have no plans on going any heavier!! The KB cardio workout is nice but definitely too short. The really intense part only lasts about 2o minutes or so, but it will make a great part of a mish mosh!
Judy- I know this photo shoot is for future brochures, ads, etc and the thought of seeing my pic on these in the future is frankly making me nauseous! I know my boss is asking me to do this thinking it is a reward, but for me it is more like punishment!
BTW, on the low pulse lunges, Cathe does not say what weight she is using but I looked closely at the vid today since I was doing them and she is using #10 lb dbs which is what I used.... still quite challenging!
Lorie- Wow, another challenging double Barry day! I am VERY impressed! Hope you have a fun getaway!!
SunnyD- Hiya! Haven't done IMAX2 in quite a while! It's a classic!
I think I've babbled on enough here! Hope y'all have a fantastic remainder of the day!
