:::::CHEETAHS TGIF 1.4.08

Judy...I have done a few circuits using my EXT instead of the cardio in the circuit.

Jackie...LOL at butt freezing in the squeeze position...good workout for you...:)

Shelly..good job troubleshooting the iPod. So glad you declined the work offer. Not sure about long run this sunday although hip has been feeling good since focusing more on the correct Chi form. I might soon be the only cheetah without a Bosu!! let us know what else you get..:)...awesome workout today.

Linda...I am tolerating DH....nice when I am home and he is at work...:)

Christine...I have not done Pinky's version of LM yet...maybe later today! I thought for sure your work would be 15 min away??...:D...Glad you have Jimmy. I really did not want to leave Sadie, but luckily my one client canceled so I could stay here. It is really nasty out and DH said there were many trees down. I am truly surprised we still have power...hoping the wind will die down later.

Wendy...sounds like a fast run without Grace!! Enjoy your nap...

Well I only did 40 min on my EXT this morning, as I thought we would loose power so I didn't want to get started on anything with the TV. But so far so good and I did not have to go to work as my one client canceled. Might do 4DS legs or something lower body like in a bit.

Hi there friends,

I'll be back later for more personals but I wanted to check-in to say DD and I will NOT be driving home today in this mess...whew. Just as well anyway as a tree has come down on our road at home with powerlines and no power=no heat, no flush etc etc so poor ol DH is stuck at home taking care of business. I was only going to race home today since DD17 was supposed to be at work today @ 3:30 p.m. but I called in for her. I spoke with the store manager and he sounded kinda funny so I hope he isn't upset with my DD. I mean the kid has been a stellar employee since June and this is the first she has ever called in! She works at the "Martha Stewart Emporium"...KMART....lol I dunno, maybe just my imagination so we'll see but I'm not risking our lives just to get her home for a 4 hour shift....

Ok enough babbling....We're going to venture out locally to get some groceries for dinner tonight; yippee another night with DSister and the posh accomodations...lol much better than freezing at home with no electricity....I'll come back later to see what ya'll are up to and post personals,..

Have a great day Cheetah friends!!

Thomasina

Afternoon Cheetahs!

Famous last words: "I am going to do some kind of run today but nothing else"...um, well...YEAH RIGHT! :7 :p :7 I got myself a good 15 minute nap which revived me and then I got antsy sooooo....

I just finished Tracey's Parts Series: Strictly Upper Body and I loved it! :)

Tomorrow I plan on trying the Glute Camp work out from his dvd. }(

Now I have to motivate my butt into that shower cause I have to leave in an hour to head to mom's for a visit and dinner. :9

BBL Girls!
Happy Friday! :)

Linda – I hope you’re not getting sick either! I’m feeling okay, just tired, now. Oh well – this too shall pass! I really did enjoy getting all that snow in Tahoe when I was up there. It’s such a pretty place anyway, and to add the snow on top? Amazing…

Wendy – you’re too funny… Great job on the run and your other workouts that you weren’t going to do!

Carole – RFLMBO! Actually work is about 5 minutes away! It used to be 15, then it went to 45, now it’s 5. I like 5 the best. :+ It IS nasty! I took DD15 and BF to Fresh Choice and I thought my little Mini was going to drown! Scared me! We lost power just as I was leaving. I ended up taking our Envoy to take the kids out – I was scared to drive them with the Mini! We have power again, but for how long? I guess this storm is supposed to die down around 4ish… I hope so!

Thomasina – I don’t blame you for not driving home! It’s crazy out there! And the power – ours is going on and off. At work it’s staying steady (bummer!). Enjoy being pampered! Hope your DH is safe and gets power soon! I’m with you about the job and I hope the manager doesn’t give her any grief for calling in.

I went home to pick up the kids, and the wind knocked a tree into our fence and it took the fence down. We have fences down all over the place (anything not made of heavy duty materials and sunk deeply is down). There is standing water everywhere – the storm drains get filled with leaves and flood the roads. I almost swamped my Mini accidently. I’m a wet, rumpled mess (I gave up trying to look cute!). I am ready to go home, make a nice soup and hunker down.

Hi again, cheetah babes!!!

Judy :: will keep your DSis in thought and prayer. Hope all goes well with the surgery and she can turn her health around. Maybe that will motivate your other sister, too…I am smaller than my sister right now, and she HATES it (because the reverse was true most of our lives). On the cruise, she told me I am her inspiration: “If YOU can do it, I can do it.” She has been working like a BEAST now to drop the excess weight. If it sounds like I am gloating, well, OK, I am—just a little bit. It’s not flat-out schadenfreude, but just karma, I think, for someone who used to call me “thunder thighs” when we were growing up…Great job on your tempo run today.

Lorie :: I don’t believe there is a huge variety of BOSU-specific DVDs available…I did like BOSU Blast…thought it was slightly repetitive for a bit and then WHAM! – the routine got a little complicated at one point and lost me for a bit. But overall, I thought it to be a good workout that gets ya sweatin'.

Lori :: ACK! -19? All complainin’ rights go to you.

Christine :: hope you’re not coming down with something…I’ve been über-tired myself these days. 10 feet of snow!?? WOW! Frightening pics. Sorry about the fence. :( Fingers are crossed our California buds stay safe…I go for Thai once in a blue moon, but I have never tried anything with THAT kind of kick! Whoo! I truly cried from it. *lol* about the buffet lunch with DS and BF. So all is right with those two again?…Helluva LM mish-mosh!

Wendy :: boo on the bad sleep last night…glad you enjoyed TS Parts…I feel some indirect enabling happening here. :) Had fun at mom’s?

Carole :: *lol* about Eion being the “ice cream guy.” I laughed at the end because he goes around to the other female yogis and gives them a hug and then sits himself down on a mat. Then they all come over to him and have a giant hug orgy. He’s sort of a character…I guess it’s good your client cancelled today – who wants to be out in that mess?

Jackie :: the buzz has calmed down somewhat with the new girl…she does seem a little overwhelmed…*lol*…but I’d say, the kids were revved-up today, in general…ITA about the BOSU being fun. I try to use it as much as possible. It's like a piece of furniture.

Shelly :: glad you got that iPod going! Do you have the iTrain resolutions package? I think I’m gonna go for that. So glad you get to enjoy a nice, long stretch! What are they—nuts—calling you to come in??? Hope you had fun target shooting and scored your BOSU today!!! BTW, the BOSU Blast w/out is part of CIA 2604 Double Cardio.

Linda :: glad you, too, are enjoying some well-deserved time off…I decided to do nothing (well, sleep), and I thoroughly enjoyed it! *lol* I don’t have Imax 2, but I am finding that most step workouts can be done on the BOSU with some modifications…IA, it’s not too late to learn to ski. I just started three years ago (at 30)…still learning but it’s a lot of fun and a KILLER calorie burn.

Thomasina :: Posh Cheetah! Glad you’re staying put. Your post reminded me of my college days when I worked retail and called out in a snowstorm. Manager wasn’t pleased, but my rationale was the same as yours…I’m going to risk cracking up my car for a 4-hour shift that wouldn’t even come close to covering my deductible?? No thanks! And who in hell is going to go clothes shopping in a snowstorm, anyway?

Well, given how my week has been going, I don't think I'll shock anyone when I say I opted for, er, umm...a two-hour nap after work today. http://s228.photobucket.com/albums/ee296/runninteach/th_Sheepish.gif OK, I find all this sleeping business a bit odd myself, but hey, post-holidays/post-vaca/lingering cold?...I guess it makes sense. I'm goin' with that theory.

I'll be starting up a Sloth thread soon. :p :7

Have a great night, all! Thinking of our West Coast cheetahs and hope the storm passes quickly.

Shelly - Glad you took advantage of sleeping in. Glad you got the ipod to work and you got in a good workout. Don't blame you for declining the offer to work. Are they crazy? Did you get that Bosu?

Linda - So, when do you go back to work? Sounds like a fun workout for you today.

Christine - Pinky's version of Low Max looks tough. Bet your HR was fine. Wow! What a terrible storm your way. Glad you're all safe and sound. Think we might get some rain tomorrow.

Wendy - Good time on your run today! Enjoy dinner at your mom's.

Carole - You need to jump on the Bosu wagon. :)

Thomasina - Glad you and DD decided not to drive. Sis is probably glad to have you around a little longer.

Cathy - I had iTrain Resolutions package. I thought it would automatically renew but not! I'm doing a la carte for the time being. I want to see if they will offer the package for less. If not, I'll renew. Maybe your bod has to get use to the normal routine again. It's not like you were sitting around doing nothing during the holidays. I can't take those kinds of naps and sleep at night. It would be nice.

Okay, it's time for bed. Sleep well.

Jackie
