Cathlete
i am getting us started. i was so busy, i didn't have time to visit the forums yesterday. :-( x( :-( x(

i am going to try and catch up on what's been happening with all of you. hopefully, i will have time to play today! miss you!

Good morning ladies!

Lorie, we miss you, too, but we know that we'll "see" you when you get the chance. Take care!

Christine, so glad to hear that DH is feeling better and should be home soon!

My fly by for the day.... Today is a scheduled rest day although Haymax is on tap for around 8:30 this morning (so I guess you could say that I've got UB on the schedule ;) ). I have a loooooooooooong day at work ahead of me with an equally long riding list. On top of that, we have to do all the show prep for a horse show on Sunday (I think I have to show two...joy *rolls eyes*) because I can only work Saturday morning because of the other half of my tourney and I refuse to leave all of that work for the girl that I work with...that would be mean.

I just about wanted to have a party for AF when she finally showed up yesterday...I hate tardiness, especially from her ;-)! Hopefully, that will begin a downward trend on the scale. I always allow for the extra 2lbs but that doesn't account for the other 5lbs, you know ;). Thanks for the encouragement girls! While my head says that it should even out it's still hard to accept it right now.

Okay, gotta get crackin'! I'll try to catch up with everyone tonight if I don't get home too late...I don't want to miss my fix lol. Have a great day everyone!

Morning Cheetahs.

I didn't sleep really well last night. I went to bed late and then I was waking up constantly and once I woke up at 5am I really never fell back to sleep though I was laying there until almost 6. x( Needless to say, napmax is on the to-do list for later.

I have upper+ and abs/core+ on tap for today.

Tomorrow is DH and my 5 year wedding anniversary. We are going to dinner at restaraunt that we only go to for special occassions. It's a place called the Garlic Rose. It's expensive for us (about $100.00 for the 2 of us to eat) but sooooo yummy! I'm very much looking forward to it!:9 :9 :9

Tomorrow we are going to my MIL's for Palm Sunday dinner. That should be yummy as well.

Lorie: We know you'll catch up when you have the opportunity!

Wendi: Enjoy haymax! :p Hope to hear from you later!

Good morning cheetahs

Lorie...sorry you got so busy yesterday...we miss ya too...:)

Wendi..glad AF finally made her appearance. I always hated being late too...I rarely am anymore. Have fun with haymax...

Wendy...WOW!!! Great time for the 7 miles girlfriend!!! I hope to be that fast someday...:)..IA it can be fun to workout just for the fun of it and not be strict at following something. Did DH get in the front door??...:D...sorry about the sleepless night, hope you get to napmax. Your 5 yr Anniversary dinner sounds wonderful...Congrats..Enjoy your workout.

Christine..so glad to hear your DH is doing better. I have been lacking energy myself this week...and not eating s great as I have been craving salt!

Dallas...yep men can be stubborn and when sick usually whiney...:D..

I think I finally came to a decision. I think that the Chi running is what has caused my latest injuries. Either I was not doing it quite right or it just is not going to work for me. My knee still hurt a bit yesterday but when I changed back to my other running form the pain was lessened. I looked back to see what had changed in the last year to give me these injuries. I thought about the usual culprits of injury, I have not been doing much distance, I have new shoes, my weight has not fluctuated more than a few lbs in the last year although it is higher that I want it to be! So I just feel it is the Chi way...so now back to the running form I have used for 30 yrs!! I will have to cut back a bit until my knee heals, and continue to ice when I can. I am doing more leg extensions as that strengthens the quads and help keeps the knees strong...okay, rant over...:)

I am doing HSC using my EXT for the cardio

Have a great day...:)

Good Morning Cheetahs!

How is everyone? Things here are pretty good and after a trip to the doc on Wed night...and some meds, I can say that I feel 100%. I only took 3 pills and the imflamation in my lunges have gone away already!
Todays workout is going to be a long run and yesterdays was 4DSUB and a 6 mile run. The day before that was a rest day b/c I felt to crabby!
Would you beleive that it has been snowning the the past....oh...30 hours or so. We have 50 something cm's of snow! ICK! Will spring ever come?

Lorie** Don't ya hate it when life is to busy to even check in with your pals? I don't think my life is ever that busy. The first thing i do in the morning is grab a cup of java and hit the forums! Its my time for me but I hate it when everyone else is picking at me in between! DD's chewing drives me crazy and today she decided to sit right next to me while eating her fruit loops! Nearly lost my mind!

Wendi** I think throwing around Hay would be concerned a workout. Sounds like you have a busy weekend a head of you!

Wendy** 5 yrs? It will be 7 for us this Oct.Sometimes it doesn't seem that long and other times longer! LOL;) Hope you enjoy your dinner and that would be an expensive dinner for us as well. The last time we went out for a real nice dinner, we were the only ones left in the restaurant and would you beleive that owners sat down with us? I was soooo rotted! I think she thinks that she is doing her business a world of good by miggling with the costumers. There is a difference in making sure everything is o.k and intruding on peoples private time!

Carole** Seems like you have put alot of thought into your injuries, I didn't even know you had a injury. Distance does it for me. If I got long distances to often, my right knee tends to act up. It didn't help either that my running partner was very pushy and wouldn't take no for an answer. No wonder I stopped running with her! LOL

Have a good day everyone! Im back to work tonight and when I get there, I am going to work on a new rotation for the rest of Mar and all of April.

Lori:)

Good morning Cheetahs!

Didn't get on yesterday and today will be short. Mom was admitted to hospital Wednesday night and I stayed the night. You know you don't get any rest at a hospital. She was losing blood and had to have a transfusion yesterday. They did discover the problem and it came from the polyp being removed from her first colonoscopy. She had another one yesterday and they fixed the problem. She's on blood thinner and that made the problem worse. Hopefully she will get to go home today or tomorrow. It was late when I got home last night. All I wanted to do was get something to eat and get in the bed.

I managed to get in Timesaver #2 this morning. The shorter workouts are coming in handy this week.

Maybe I can catch up tomorrow. Need to get some work done now.

Have a fantastic Friday!

Jackie

Well I just spent some time creating a sort of mix-n-match rotation for myself. This week will end my X+ rotation for now. I love it and plan to go back but need a break as I mentioned in previous posts.

So anyway, I created 8 weeks of work outs (4 strength and 4 endurance based) using a variety of work outs from Cathe, Beach Body ,BBC as well as some others...I also have the work out from M&F Hers in there a few times. I am trying it tmrw. If I don't like it, I will put something else in it's place...
I am going to pick one each week to do. My goal is to alternate between the strength and endurance but if I don't, I'm not worried.

I actually created an extra week more then what I actually have time for but that will just give me a little extra leeway in making my decision each week. I think this is going to be fun! If I feel I want to sub at any point cause I'm just not feelin' the work out on tap, I am giving myself the freedom to do so with out the guilt.

The only things I want to be strict about is getting my running and yoga in every single week.

BBIAB for personals...I'm HUNGRY! :9

Good morning all! I slept like a stone last night and feel nice and recharged:7 :7 Well, I did talk with my boss yesterday and she was her usual wonderful self. I was on the verge of tears myself I felt so bad telling her but she told me not to worry that we all have to do what we have to do essentially and gave me a hug:) I came home then and apologized to my dear DH. I had been so fretful and tired I really snapped at him bad the other day... okay enough of this!
I'm very truthfully quite terrified of this move and all that needs to be done but I am NOT going to take it out on others!!

We found a VERY interesting property by the way yesterday... number one on our list to look at when we get there :) I'll be talking with various recruiters today and tomorrow to get some specifics about what jobs they have to offer me. My preference I think would be to work in Philadelphia for a while.

Yesterday I got in a pretty nice 6 mile run and finished up the last timesaver workout. For today I'll be doing a LB workout... I think I'll get into the 4DS series again for a bit. Later will be a good turn on the EXT 40-60 minutes. More packing and painting of course!

Wendy- Congratulations on a stellar run yesterday!!!!! At this rate I think I'll be the one holding you back on the 18 miler!!

"I am happy though cause the west coast's loss is the east coasts gain!"

Thank you so much for the above comment yesterday!! It brought a lump to my throat. BTW, I got my copy of NROLFW yesterday... very interesting!!

Christine- So glad to hear that DH is better and coming home... finally!!! I'm willing to bet he'll be even happier to be home than you though!

Wendi- Hey, with all the heavy fantastic weight workouts you've been doing your muscles have naturally had more inflammation... a normal response for a few weeks but only temporary. And now especially since long overdue Auntie F has made her appearance I'm willing to bet there will be wonderful changes coming your way soon with your body!! Good luck with your upcoming show.

Carole- Very interesting about your knee injury and Chi running!!
I think I can understand your point of view. When you concentrate so hard on changing to a new form and doing something your body does not naturally want to do bad things can happen for sure. You are very intelligent and have obviously thought this out very carefully. BTW, I also got a copy of the China Study and have started perusing it. I think with the upcoming separation (part time) with my DH I will use the opportunity to go totally vegetarian. You are my inspiration here so I'll be picking your brains likely in the future! Nothing new here.... I feel like I'm always picking your brains:)

Lori- Glad to hear you are feeling better! It obviously wasn't enough to hold you back from your usual killer workouts! I'm looking out my window and finding it hard to imagine all the snow you have!!

Jackie - {{{{hugs}}} for you and your Mom!! I deal with scenarios like hers all the time with my job and I know exactly what she (and you) both went thru!! Having you there for her makes a HUGE diffence in her recovery to be sure. Those timesavers are great aren't they? I think the push up sequence in # 1 is even harder than the drop sets in GSCT.

Hi Lorie! Hope you can catch up and take a deep breath soon!

Hi Kristi- thank you for your kind words yesterday! Good luck with the 10k tomorrow!!!!

Hi Dallas! How's things in the Windy City today?

Hi Judy, Linda, Sunny and anyone else I may have missed.

ShellyC

Afternoon Ladies!

It's sunny again!!!! :7 I slept in again today (my body still needed the extra rest), but then had a few appts after taking DS to school. After that there wasn't enough time to workout, but I feel great so the day won't end w/o some cardio and ARX. I'll do the planned L&B tomorrow, since GSL got me good y-day. That workout always does that when I add it in here and there. }(

Shelly ~ We tend to do that don't we...when we get stressed? (the snapping part) I know I've been guilty of it too. :( Moving is a big stressor. Hang in there! (((HUGS)))

Christine ~ Glad your dh is doing better. Is today your hike w/Jimmy?

Wendy ~ I would have loved to have kept going! :) Too bad dh had to leave for work. Not that I want to rush DS being in school everyday in Sept., however my neighbor and I have already said once the bus pulls off we can start our runs. :) Nice run! Happy 5th Anniversary! You still want to change the locks? :+ It goes fast doesn't. This year will be 13! Whoa! I can't believe it's Palm Sunday already. Of course, we celebrate both American and Greek Easter. I hate when there's such a huge gap between the two.

Jackie ~ Your poor mom has been through so much. (((HUGS))) to you both.

Carole ~ At least you know your body and have figured out what to do and not to do. I'm still working on that. ;-) I had a Quorn patty cut up in my salad for lunch. YUM! :9

Lori ~ I didn't know that you were sick too. Are you sure...with those workouts!?!??! LOL!

Wendi ~ Wow, you sure do get the upper body work w/all that Haymax work! }(

Lorie ~ Glad to see you pop in!

Hi to the rest of the Cheetahs!

Well, the babysitter just got here so I can do Easter basket shopping. THEN I can finally work out!

Have a good one!

Food shopping and Upper and Abs/Core+ are all DONE and I just finished eating a yummy snack of pita chips and salsa!:9 Now all I need is a cuppa yummy java to make it perfect!;)

Anyone have any scintilating friday evening plans?

BBIAB! :)

Jackie - prayers for a fast and speedy recovery for your mom!

Quick post today, too - I can't type too well. First = DH is in Delhi!! YEAH!!! He'll be home soon. I'm so happy.

Second - anyone with kettlebells - DO NOT do renegade rows with anything less than a 35 pound bell - I did them with my 26 pounders and wss doing well, then DD15 left for school and I lost my concentration, and DOWN I went. The kettlebell handle and my full body weight landed on the tip of my left middle and ring fingers. I think I broke my middle finger. It's pretty bad. I've been debating going to the ER as what are they going to do other than tape the two fingers together and tell me to ice them? I'm doing that now, and have not had to pay the $50 deductible.

I've decided that I do not like the Lenten season. Last year it took Tucker, and this year it seemed to try to take everything I love, including my kettlebells. I'm going to go mope in a corner. :+

edited to add that I called my family doc and am going to see him just to make sure all is okay.

Hey cheetahs,

Sorry I've been MIA...I don't even remember when I posted last. http://s228.photobucket.com/albums/ee296/runninteach/getwell/th_dizzy.gif Things are busy, and the crud is here full blast on top of it. I just woke up from a nap and will head back to bed shortly but wanted to say a quick hello. Posts will probably continue to be a little sporadic.

Jackie :: hope your mom is home now and recuperating nicely. What a scare.

Christine :: I'm glad DH is on his way home soon. So sorry about your accident. Yeowch! Good thing having your doc take a look. *sends a glass of wine out there for some chill vibes*

Shelly :: whoo! I completely understand the stress making you edgy. Glad you have the notifying part out of the way. That is always difficult to do.

Warm hellos to everyone else!

Oh my what's happening on this thread!!! not a good time of the year, is it?!?!

Cathy ~ Sending healing {{{VIBES}}} your way!! Have you gone to the doctor? Is it flu symptoms? Try this: http://www.oscillo.com/ I tell you it works! :)

Christine ~ I didn't know what a renegade row was. Youtube.com had your guy demonstrating it. Good luck at the doctor!

Wendy ~ No big plans here. DH just asked me if I wanted to go to an Irish fest tomorrow night. No thanks. LOL! Have fun on your dinner you love birds! :)

OK, finally ready to try an iClimb on the EFX/EXT w/ARX following. Which one should I call it? EFX/EXT? ;-)

Have a great night!
